It has some signs of use including a numeral engraving on the back side of the green body. But otherwise it is in good shape. We briefly checked the optics and magnification over a 150 yard distance and found the clarity and resolution very impressive. Unit comes in a nice hardwood box! Description This is a K&E 71-2022 Autocollimating Alignment Telescope made by Keuffel& Esser. These alignment telescope models are identical to the Cubic Precision and K&E Models but will have a darker green paint than the current ... moremodels light green paint. Now made by the Brunson Instrument Company in Kansas City. These now cost over $15K new. Specifications are: Focus is from the end of Barrel to Infinity. with a 37 minute field of view at infinity. Magnification is 4X at Zero Focus, steplessly zooming up to 46X at infinity- Effective Aperture is 42mm, all optics are fully coated-The reticle is an all-purpose, double glass unit with single lines right and top and paired lines at the bottom and left. The eyepiece is provided with diopter correction, and provides an erect image. The Optical Micrometer Dials allow measurement of-0.50" 0- +.050" X.001" resolution. Up for sale/auction is: The 71-6204 2 inch Magnet Back Mirror is used to check the perpendicularity of any flat surface to the line of sight by means of auto-collimation or auto-reflection. This is the little brother of the 71-6204. Made by K&E. The mirror is flat to 1/4 wave, and the magnetic feet on the back are then precision ground to be parallel to the mirror face within 3 seconds of arc. This mirror sells new for hundreds of dollars and is very hard to find. The mirror has light scratching on the surface which is visible when held to an angle.
