I have always taken very good care of this typewriter. I originally paid about $500.00 for this typewriter plus $25.00 for the extra printer ball and additional for the correcting rolls. This typewriter measures 5-1/4 in. high by 14-1/2 in. wide by 15 in. deep. Included with the typewriter are the following items: 1) Manual. 2) Electrical cord. 3) A hard. This is a vintage 1960s Smith Corona manual portable typewriter. The became SCM in 1962. This is Corsair Deluxe model. It is turquoise in color. Both body and included case, and in near mint condition. All you will need is the new ribbon, since the one in the machine dried out. It can be purchased on line. It is almost like it was never used except that you can see that it has been used in the past by looking at the ribbon. I have found absolutely nothing wrong with this typewriter. If I were keeping it I would probably replace the ribbon as it has dried out a good bit from just sitting. This is one of. If not the lightest portable typewriter I have ever seen. For sale here we have a Vintage Royal Arrow typewriter from the 1940s! Patent numbers: 96652. 1848508, 1894483, 1901289, 2020223, 2050177, 2157607, 2211967. This typewriter is a manual typewriter that types in red or black. The typewriter is matte black/gray colored. All of the keys work. And the ribbons still do print, just not very dark. Probably needs to be replaced soon. Finish on the typewriter is in pretty good condition, 8/10. Internals could use a dusting, outside is quite clean. Just a few small scratches on the top right side of the panel(pictured) Keys are in 7/10 condition. Although they do all work. The characters seem to have faded a bit or the glass/hard plastic key coating needs cleaning. Not sure which one, didn't want to try to clean it and scratch up the key faces. This is the platen knobs and roller. 2 glass side plates, ribbon spools, space bar, metal top cover parts and the rubber feet. Included also are some of the screws. One glass side is broken. The rubber feet are pretty good, some cracks in the rubber and rust. The roller is is good shape- the rubber part measures 9 7/8" long. One ribbon spool is metal, the other is plastic. This is an antique Underwood Standard typewriter with a 14 inch oversized carriage. This Master model has a serial number of 14-6243146. The 14 is for the carriage size and the online serial number database says this was built in 1947. I acquired this machine in the mid'70s and used it a lot before I got my first computer. It has been in storage for almost 20 years. I dusted it off and wiped it down and it looks great. All the keys work with no sticking and all mechanicals work well. ANTIQUE UNDERWOOD 3 BANK PORTABLE TYPEWRITER WITH CASE 1922 GLASS KEYS + RIBBON
Here for auction is an early Underwood Standard 3 Bank Portable Typewriter with original case. This is the 3 bank portable meaning it only has 3 rows of keys as opposed of the later ones that had 4 rows. This model still types all the same letters. Numbers, and characters by using two shift keys- the one marked CAP to type upper case letters and the other marked FIG to type special characters and punctuation marks. The serial number. 68296 dates this typewriter's age to around 1922 which is the earlier Underwood 3 Bank production period. This is a cool looking little antique portable typewriter that does have some gold loss on the name lettering and it needs a good cleaning and oiling but all the glass keys work and the ribbon is original. The carriage moves easily and both key locks work well. The only flaw I can find is that the roller ... morethat moves the paper up and down seems locked but it may be that I just don't know how to work it. Antique Manual UNDERWOOD Typewriter 1923 No. 5 Needs Repair
I am offering this Antique UNDERWOOD Manual Typewriter No.5 to the highest bidder. It is in great condition. Very little surface rust. The keys are all working and intact. The carriage does not stay in place to start typing. This may have been dropped, as these are very heavy machines. The roller bar has been bent, and the locking mechanism for the carriage or possibly a gear needs replacing. I purchased this at a local estate sale and was told it worked. These are still very collectable and I believe this can be either used for parts or easily repaired. The last patent date on the back is Jan 23, 1923. There is a serial number of 1741464-5.
