It is mssing a small pin the goes through the hasp when the lock is closed but that can be replaced with a very small pin or nail. There are a couple of loose pieces of cloth fabric on the(see photos) but it is still very durable. The machine is very clean inside and the ribbon seems to revolve like it supposed to. Antique Remington Noiseless Typewriter in working condition. I believe this is a Standard 10. Serial# is X371109. It is in remarkable condition. Almost like it was used very little. Very few scratches has been kept covered. Scratches are only on the very front of the key area. Please look at pictures. Some of the keys will stick and have to be pushed back down. Probably needs oiled and cleaned. Bell rings Tabulator works. Shift Keys, Paper return. Everything seems to work extremely well. One plastic knob on the left hand side that turns the paper into the machine is broken. And would need replaced. You can see it in the pictures. There is ribbon in it but has long lost it's ink. Cosmeticaly. The typewriter is in very good condition(see photos) No wear on the keys. The case is in nice condition but has an"old" smell to it. Mechanicaly, everything works except the following: The"J" key is disconnected(parts in photo were found under the unit when it was removed from the case) The#s 7. 8, 9 do not move. The"K" N" M" keys do not move. There are no visable jammed or bent items restricting the movement of the above noted keys. It could be caused by the"J" key being disconnected. Antique Remington Standard Typewriter No.6. Probably from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Serial number is 78526. I know nothing about old typewriters but this one is pretty different. It has a barrel design where the keys swing up from a circular contraption. All the keys work, but the scroll doesnt advance without a slight nudge on the side, it tries to move but probably just needs to be cleaned and oiled. I will leave that to the new owner. it looks to be all original but like I said in need of a cleaning.

Beautiful Underwood No. 5. Made in the USA and every key works. Can't see any missing parts. Serial number on this is# 1074458 which as per my research dates it to 1918. Someone please let me know if I am wrong there. Bought this from a man who inherited it from his grandmother. It has been sitting in his attic since. He told me his grandmother was very meticulous about taking good care of her things. And judging by the looks of this typewriter, I believe him. No bent strikers, no rust. I gave it a cursory wipe down, but will leave final cleaning to the winner. Doesn't really need much though. I tested every key and found no problems. Caps lock and unlock is even smooth. Carriage moves smoothly. The key faces have some wear. The v key being the worse. Do a zoom on my pics and you will see what I am talking about. Some of the paint ... moreon the gold lettering is worn away. You can see that in the pics as well. Please email me if you have questions or would like further pics. Olivetti Lettera 22 portable typewriter. Made in 'Gt Britain'. Superb condition!
Here's a very nice example of an Olivetti Lettera 22 manual typewriter. No wires. No memory, no RAM, no ROM, no processor, no screen, no ink or toner, no electric! You put your paper in. Type on the keyboard what you need and it magically appears in front of your very eyes! It's a miracle! It truly is compact and lightweight and comes in it's own carry case which is also in superb order with all zips. Fasteners and handles being present, correct and fully operational. The case/bag might need a bit of a wipe over on the outside(it's not particularly mucky) but I've left everything'as is' you can smell the age and patina on it! It works fine although the ribbon could do with replacing and maybe the platen restoring. It depends upon what you want to do with it but it works fine and dandy just how it is. Stamped on ... morethe back with'Made in Gt Britain' at their Glasgow factory. According to the serial number it was manufactured in late 1959 or early 1960. Now this machine has been unused for a long time but stored in it's case so the keys were a little bit stiff when I used it yesterday but it soon freed up. It could possible benefit from a drop of oil to the mechanism but I'd sooner leave well alone in case I make it stickier and therefore worse! I've also noticed that there is no red key to the right hand side of the keyboard which seems to be present in(most) other examples I've seen for sale but there doesn't seem to be anything missing or indeed any provision for an extra key over that side of the keyboard so maybe this was omitted in this case. It's adjustable for line spacing and can take a black or black& red ribbon. These are readily available either online or from your local reputable stationer as they are hugely popular in Africa and Asia where of course they can be used anywhere to type letters and documents- you don't need power. We are not experts on these Typewriters but here is a Royal Portable Manual Typewriter which seems to be in good condition for its vintage age. It is fairly lightweight weighing in at almost 8 pounds. Antique YOST 1 Writing Maching Typewriter 1887, Rare HTF!
Up for auction is a very hard to find rare antique typewriter. This is a Yost 1 vintage writing machine from Bridgeport Conn. The machine does have a couple of missing keys and needs to be refurbished but it is near complete. Perfect piece for restoration. The two medallions on the back of the machine is the proof that it is a Yost 1 machine that began production in 1887. This typewriter has a grasshopper striking motion. This Olivetti Underwood D ora typewriter is in good used cond ition. I really do not know allot about old typewriters. I hit the keys and the levers move up. The ribbon does need to be replaced. You can find them quite inexpensive here on eBay. It most likely will need oiled and cleaned. As most vintage typewriters do. This item is very lightweight, as most of the out er cas ing is made of plastic. The plastic is very solid and polishes up to a high gloss. In fact. It takes some careful scrutiny to realize that it isn't metal- it's very well done. The Dora was manufactured in Olivetti's Barcelona plant. All keys feel smooth but only go up ¾ of the way, I have inspected this to the best of my ability and can find no bent or broken pieces so the key stop may be controlled by one of the many buttons, levers, clips, snaps or gadgets this thing has on it. And it would need to be cleaned and lubricated. It has amazing graphics and is in very solid condition. Antique Underwood No. 3 Typewriter Mid 1920s Black Very Good Condition
Beautiful antique typewriter. This was quite the advanced technology of the era. Upon researching. I have determined that this is an Underwood No. 3. It has several patent numbers on the back so my guess is that it is from the mid 1920s. It is in very nice condition for its age. The black paint really still stands out. It appears to be in working condition but likely needs a little fine tuning such as maybe a little oiling as some of the keys don't always pop It does type but has very old red and black ribbons that need to be replaced because the type is very faint. Please see all the pictures for detail. It is missing some paint and has a little rust. Some of the keys were replaced with handwritten letters. This is only noticeable on close inspection. This machine will look amazing in any office or living room. Has an amazing classic ... morelook that will be the perfect accent piece for any room. I have one standard portable"touch control" model O Royal typewriter and case. The serial number on the typewriter is O-650029(1937) There is no dust or rust on the instrument! There is very little sign of use and the typewriter is nearly immaculate. All the glass keys work. The paten is not damaged or corroded, the rubber feet are inact and not cracked, and the entire machine is fully functional. The type size is pica-10 characters to the inch. There are no tab or tab release keys on the instrument. There is one scratch on the front corner, as shown. The case is a little rough, as shown. There is some tape on the back, bottom of the case. Vintage 1930 Underwood Portable Typewriter Two Tone Model Gold & Black w/Case
This vintage Underwood portable typewriter has a serial number dating it to 1930. It is in black enamal and gold textured paneled accents. It seems to be working fine and the bell is still ringing. There are no dents. However, there are two scratches along the back(see photo) The paint and finishes are original. Three keys have some loss, I have shown this in a picture. The case has the original warrantee label but does have wear on the corners and edges. The case measures 12 1/2" wide; 12 1/4" deep and 5 1/2" high.

Antique Desk 1940s, 1950s, 1960s Unknown Manufacturer Typewriter Pull-Out Large
=== LOW RESERVE ===- Up for sale is COOL ANTIQUE DESK WITH A TYPEWRITER PULL-OUT. 4-DRAWERS, AND A PULL-OUT WRITING TABLE that I have been using in our finished basement for a computer work area. We have moved the computer up to the office to another desk. So it is time for it to go. Overall it is in decent condition. I do not know who the manufacturer is. Or what year it was made as there are no manufacturer's marks that I could locate. It appears that everything is here and in good working order. Dimensions are 60"W x 34"D x 30"H. The drawers are all dovetail construction. And it looks like everything is laminate over hardwood with solid hardwood legs and brass feet. The left side of the cabinet is a door made to look like three drawers. When you open it up it reveals a shelf that pulls out and raises due to the tension ... moreof two heavy springs at the back of the cabinet. Once fully up it locks at the back and hooks into the cabinet door for stability. This was designed to carry an old-school typewriter, so it is very heavy duty. At some point several holes were drilled in the pull out shelf as can be seen in the pictures. In the center is a wide(and deep) drawer. On the right are three drawers. One is divided front to back, while one other has angular dividers for files. There are some chips in the laminate as shown in the pictures. There are numerous scratches and rub marks from being up against a wall. And typical wear that you would expect to see on the legs and such as well. Nothing that is beyond repair by any means. The desk is very solid, sturdy, and well made and very uncommon is it's styling. When searching the internet, I could only find smaller versions of this desk where the typewriter is below the top of the desk, nothing as large as this one. ITEM Smith-Corona Silent Vintage Portable Typewriter ~ Circa 1951 ~ Needs Minor Work The“Silent” was the top of the line Smith-Corona typewriter. It was built on the Super 5 chassis design. In the newer rounded style. The serial number is 5S206766; as near as I can tell it was built in either 1950 or 1951. The logo is silver. Not green, so it is early 50’s. It says“LC Smith& Corona Typewriters Inc. Made In USA” on the back, and“Floating Shift” on a little medallion inside. The“p” key has a broken joint in the linkage; all of the other keys seem to be OK. Carriage actions all feel normal(I’m not an expert. But it feels OK) It will also need cleaning. Lubrication, etc. The case is a little rough but still solid. And the latches all work. The manual is stuck together. And since I didn’t want to risk ripping it I left it as is.
