I am offering the Royal#10 Typewriter With Beveled Glass Side Windows and 18" Wide Document Carriage. The keys all strike well. No ribbon. All the functions of the typewriter appear in working order. The logo decals are all in good condition. I can't located the serial number on this typewriter, but from my research, it was made in the 1920s. I could not find another one with the wide 18" carriage, so it may be rare. It is in good condition, but needs a good cleaning, which I will leave up to the new owner. I am not an expert in typewriters. I have tryed to take lots of photos, and describe the typewriter to the best of my ability, but if I have missed something or you need a question answered, please feel free to ask. It is said this is the same model that Ernest Heminway used so it must have been top of the line! Everything works as they should work but if pounded too hard. A few keys are sticky but used propery, it types just fine, even the"ding" at the end and comes with spare ribbon. Vintage antique typewriter w/ carry case. 100% operational like new. 63 yrs old Smith-Corona RED& BLACK INK: Brand new ribbon. Has two tone color keys. Dark green for the normal spelling characters and light green which designates different typewriter functions. Such as switching from red to black ink and other functions. The less valuable models had keys that were all the same color and only one color ink, but not this one. 1950's Vintage Smith Corona SILENT Typewriter in NEW OPERATING condition. Aesthetically it is 90% But what’s the chance of finding a typewriter that is 63 years old in perfectly new looking condition? No keys stick and all works. Including case latches inner and outer. All the keys operate(100% very smoothly. Easily and quietly. NOTHING STICKS. Outstanding operational condition. This"Silent" was top ... moreof the line in the day. There is one rub mark(above the smith corona logo) where the typewriter was not latched in the carrying case properly and it rubbed on the inside of the case. But it is very minor. The rear of the typewriter has some small minor blemishes in the finish. Over all it is a fine antique and example of 1950's USA manufacturing excellence. When I got it. The“T” key would sometimes stick a little and sometimes not. I took a syringe and needle with light machine oil and went through the whole machine. It took me an hour to lubricate every pivot, rotation, and slide joint in it. OMG What a fantastic difference. Now every key and every function operates as brand new and very smoothly and quietly. After bringing its performance back to brand new. The fading ink ribbon bothered me in its hard to read faded lettering. So I replaced the ribbon with a brand new two color ink. Red& Black. NOTICE: Some of the pictures show a totally black ribbon and other pictures show a RED and BLACK ribbon because they were taken after the ribbon change. Antique Underwood Typewriter: Condition: Good Everything is working however the Carriage do not slide Continuously. Some sticking keys and some hesitation in other moving parts. Has some rust and patina on the chrome and dry roller. Rubber feet are ok. Last copyright date is Aug. 17. 1915. Size is 12 inches across the widest point and stands over all 9 1/2 inches tall at the back. Also is 12 inches deep and 29 pounds. One of the 100 first Braille Typewriters ever produced! After the successful introduction of various typewriters for everybody else. Blind individuals needed a machine to write Braille too. Up to this point, the students at the School for the Blind and everybody else who wanted to write Braille had to use"writing boards" through which writing was performed by pushing one or more of the six points of Braille in reverse with a pin through holes in the board. Superintendent of the School for the Blind. Frank Haven Hall, invented around 1890 a machine to write Braille instead of normal letters. Hall's invention was built by Gunsmith and Machinist Gustav Sieber and completed ... morein 1892. Hall took Sieber's prototype to the Munson Typewriter Company in Chicago. Where Superintendent T.B. Harrison and designer Samuel J. Seifried created six pilot models, delivering them to Hall on May 27th, 1892. Munson Typewriter manufactured an additional lot of 94 machines for Hall. Harrison and Seifried soon left Munson and began manufacturing the braillewriter full time, along with the Hall Stereotyper and later a tactile map making machine. When the partnership dissolved. Samuel Seifried continued the business until his death in 1912. The Cooper Manufacturing Company took over the braillewriter. When M.B. Skinner bought Cooper in 1921, the Hall Braille Writer was re-designed and continued to be sold until Cooper sold the design, dies, and tools to the American Foundation for the Blind around 1930. AFB assembled a few additional machines from parts in stock, but at the same time was developing its own machine, the Foundation Writer. Surprisingly fast In 1892. This model is one of the visible typewriters that the company manufactured and also one of the first visible typewriters ever made. Visible typewriters let the user read the text that he or she is typing, thanks to a system called“upstrike” by means of which the types hit the paper upwards. Fox Typewriter Company(Grand Rapids, Michigan) started manufacturing‘blind’ machines(with downstrike system) in 1898 and was liquidated in 1921, after a long litigation for patent infringement because of the launching of the first model with collapsible carriage produced by the firm, the Fox Baby. Though the patent was never withdrawn, the high monetary expenditure seemed ... moreto be too much for the firm and eventually it closed its doors. This typewriter is a notable model because of several features. It is a somewhat antique model with a peculiar design. With a delicately curved body quite different from the solid and compact appearance of the models from those times. This look is obviously inspired in Art Déco style, very fashionable in the beginning of the 20th century. The types also draw our attention as they show two different lengths. This particular piece still keeps the name and city of the firm in golden capital letters, printed over the carriage. To its right we can see the beautiful logo of the brand in green, red, white and gold. The typewriter works pefectly and keeps all its original components. This machine is in good condition though the trace of time and the use have surely put their stamp on its outside. Some pieces and parts of the lacquered finish show slight signs of wear. Here is an Antique Underwood Standard Typewriter. It has no model number that I can find but my research tells me it’s a Model No. 3. This is a harder-to-find Model than most Underwoods. This carriage is designed for accounting and bookkeeping and made to accommodate a ledger size sheet of paper with a 14.5-inch rubber roll. Its outside dimensions are approximately 17 inches long(not including outside platen knobs) and 12 inches from front to back and 9 inches tall. This typewriter is in very good condition. It is very clean for its age and has been well taken care of. The paint is all original and in good condition with all the original stenciling intact. The keys are all in good condition and all work fine. It types 12 characters=1 inch. Excellent Underwood Noiseless Typewriter w/ Green Quiet Keys Add-on
This is a wonderful old typewriter- Underwood Noiseless" It has a special add-on: Quiet Keys" that have little springs/cushions in them when depressed. They snap on over the original keys(see pics) I took one off so you can see what the original keys look like and I snapped a pic of the side view(quiet key) Where the serial number is supposed to be located on this great old beauty. There is none. I have no idea what year it was made. It types well, the keys need to be pressed a bit hard(ribbon is weak) The roller itself measures 10 7/8" long, the entire carriage measures 16 1/2" wide. Vintage 1930s Smith Corona Portable Typewriter Art Deco, Machine Age
This is a very beautiful vintage 1930s Art Deco. Machine Age Smith Corona Portable Typewriter. The shinny black was very frustrating to photograph, please excuse the glare. The finish is what you would expect from a high end well made machine. It's silky, shiny and smooth to the touch, with minimal chips and light wear. It has a flat top design with clean glass floating keys that look better than photographed. All the keys function smoothly, the existing ribbon is good, but you may want to replace it. I don't see any scratches, there are a few tiny chips and some very minor wear on some edges, really difficult to see. On the back where it say's corona I suspect it was rubbing against something. The case is in fabulous condition, The chrome latches shine, lock in place and look great! This typewriter has been sitting for 10s of ... moreyears along with just about everything else you can imagine. He was a WWII Veteran who kept just about everything, so I was told by his son. Antique Vintage Remington 1928 Typewriter/ Family Owned/ 1923 Type Book Included
Up for bid is an antique vintage Remington typewriter from around 1928 and was always a part of the family home. The serial number is"BM80818" and it reads in gold lettering on the front: Made at Ilion. New York, U.S.A. With it is a first edition 1923 Gregg Typewriter book used in its day for learning the art of typing. There also is included a typewriter cover which dates back to the 60's. The Remington unit is in excellent condition. Recently checked by reputable repairman and fitted with a new black/red typewriter ribbon. As you can see the finish is very good with a few paint knicks and scrapes and the carriage rolls perfect and true with no abnormalties. The bakelite roller knobs are perfect as well as the roller and the feet are adjustable and not cracked in any way. The body is not dented or rusted and could easily be ... morea candidate for the Smithsonian. A sample type is shown in the next to last picture. The New Rational Typewriting book 1923 by Rupert P. Sorelle is included and features a binding patented on August 29. 1923. This must pertain to the first of its kind stand up(eisel effect) to read while typing at the same time. There are two missing pages, Page 1/144, 42/103) and two half torn pages(Page 20/125, 30/115) However one can see the illustrated parts of all the typewriters of that time and see the lessons or drills used to master the art of typing. Utmost care well be used in packing this antique and a three($3.00) dollar handling charge is included in the shipping for package material and protection. THIS IS A FABULOUS ANTIQUE TYPEWRITER. BY THE HAMMOND COMPANY. IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND APPEARS TO FUNCTION QUITE PROPERLY. WHAT IS AMAZING IS THAT IT IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD! AND THE LOVELY CURVED OAK CASE IS ALSO IN VERY NICE CONDITION. THE OVERALL WEIGHT OF THIS MARVELOUS MACHINE IS ABOUT 19 POUNDS. The machine has been in storage for awhile. I gave this a quick wipe down for the photo's. The typewriter needs to be serviced or restored. The keys do not function properly. When pushed they will not go far. They will need to be forced or pushed. The paper roller works. The machine needs to be serviced/ lubricated to free up the moving parts. The side to side return(slide) space. Shift, works good. Return space is sticking. The keys are in nice condition. This machine is going to need some work. The N and Y keys are not resting in the proper place. The N key sticks out, down, and blocks the space bar. The Y arm seams to be bent. Caligraph 2 Typewriter American Writing Machine Co 1880s Upstrike
The Caligraph 2 upstrike or blind typewriter manufactured by American Writing Machine Co of New York. The serial# is 37414 and it dates to the mid 1880s. The Caligraph 2 was the first typewriter with a full keyboard. With 72 keys. It has a separate key for each upper case letter, each lower case letter, number and symbol. This is an estate auction find and is being sold in as found condition. With a little cleaning/polishing and replacement of the few minor pieces that are missing. This will be a wonderful addition to your collection! Condition: Working- Overall. It is in very good condition for being 125-130 years old. The tension spring is good and the carriage moves smoothly. The wooden key levers are in excellent condition and all keys are operational. The type bars need to be fine tuned to make the letters align perfectly. The original ... morefaceted planten is in good condition. The front panel has some paint loss around the edges and the original decal shows quite a bit of wear but is still legible. The panel also has a lot of very fine scratches which were hard to capture in the photos. If you look at the close up of the decal, you can see some of the scratches in the lower right corner of the photo. The scratches are only on the surface and do not go through the paint so you should be able to polish them out. There is some chrome loss and minor corrosion on the non-painted parts. The"Q" and" keys are missing and have been replaced with small wood discs. On the back of the machine, the thumb nut which holds the small spring on the carriage release is missing and has been replaced with a standard hex nut. The small handle to wind the left side of the ribbon is missing. The ribbon needs to be re-inked or replaced. There are a couple of screws missing from the front panel. Antique Remington Portable Manual Typewriter Needs Restoration This is a Remington Portable typewriter. This manual typewriter is in good overall condition. The machine has been in storage for awhile. I gave this a quick wipe down for the photo's. The typewriter needs to be serviced or restored. There is small paint chips flaking off of the frame. This does make a little mess when handling the machine. The keys do not function properly. When pushed they all tend to rest about a 1/2" from the original point. They will go farther forward but only go so far without a push. The paper roller works(rolls) but is tight. The machine needs to be serviced/ lubricated to free up the moving parts. Vintage Royal H10 or h12 typewriter good Condition glass sides 1934 or 1935. The serial no is H12-1730380 which by info on internet makes it a 1934 or 1935. Glass in great condition. It works but with all older typewriters it could use a good cleaning and oiling for best performance if you were going to type on it. Also would need new ribbon the one on it does work. In pictures you will see 2 welds that do not look factory. So it might have been broke and repaired at some point. This one is in good condition compared to other ones Ive seen. I wiped off but it needs good cleaning. Some chrome has pitting but believe most will shine up nice. This had been displayed in a older ladies house as she said forever and I bought it from her. Please look over the pictures as they are part of the description. This is a vintage typewriter over 75 years ... moreold so dont expect a new one please look over pictures good. I would expect that it may have been repainted when repaired as some of the paint is duller then other. I do not know its history have told my opinion only. I am selling what I believe is on the low side for one in this condition.

It has been kept neatly stored away. The typewriter has original top cover which snaps to typewriter. The ribbon is empty/dry. But all keys are in great shape. It measures approx. 11.5" long and 11" wide and 4" tall.

1930's L C SMITH CORONA STANDARD FLAT TOP Vintage TYPEWRITER W/Case
This sale is for a L C SMITH CORONA STANDARD FLAT TOP Vintage TYPEWRITER W/Case. This is a 043-B model. These flat tops were first produced in 1935. I looked for the serial number but could not find it. Also not sure why there are the various different colors on the keys but it does look really appealling. This machine looks really nice but it will need a cleaning/ or repair as the keys on the left hand side all appear stuck unless there is some lever that is holding it. The tab, space and all the keys on the right hand side move smoothly. The typewriter locks into the carrying case. Which is not in the best condition. As you can see the handle is barely hanging but surprisingly you can still lift this heavy typewriter with it. The latches work fine but I do not have the key. I ran out of pictures but there is a part of the outside covering ... morepeeling off on the left hand side of the case but this can easily be glued back down. Still a nice collectible item.
