When I plugged it in. It powered ON, the ribbon cartridge and type guide stay stuck on the left side of the machine and the ball writer just jumps. I never could get it to type. It needs some kind of repair. Something is causing the type guide/ribbon to stay stuck in place. It may be a easy fix. I have no idea how to work on these machines, so selling it AS IS. I'm hoping someone that works on these vintage machines will want it to fix or to use the parts for repairs. It is a heavy vintage machine so shipping will be a bit high. The roller clicks but the paper wouldn’t roll in. The carriage advances smoothly and the bell still dings that classic nostalgic sound. Condition: Missing the green“K” key. Missing the green Automatic Ribbon Reverse- One key does not press down(cents) One of the hinges is bent(can be easily repaired) The typewriter is dusty underneath. Vintage Royal Portable Red Mahogany Typewriter in Case
I have here a vintage Red Mahogany finish typewriter with case. The finish is bright with only a few spots of wear on it with light crazing in the finish. The keys move pretty good and I would say only a few stuck when I was typing. A few keys have red marker on them. The biggest part of wear is on the roller. I noticed it was taped over because it is cracking underneath. I have an extra ribbon and a brush. The case has wear and is missing the handle and I do not have a key for it. Email with? This was an estate sale find. Upon inspection I did noticed that this typewriter was indeed dusty and in dire need of a cleaning. The ink ribbon is dry and will need to be replaced. All buttons. When pressed, appear to work just fine. Some of what I would consider minor scuffs and scrapes are present. Unfortunately, I do not know much about these kinds of machines so I will have to let the pictures speak for themselves. Vintage Smith Premier home portable typewriter
Vintage Smith Premier Home Portable typewriter in awesome shape. All the keys work and it types exceptionally well. Assembled in Great Britain with parts made in USA as stated on the metal. It is screwed into a leather case to make it very portable. It weights 12 1/4 lbs. and the case is 11 1/2" wide by 11 3/4" deep and 5 1/4" tall. All the keys seem to be metal. It looks like new but the leather case shows some age.

I have checked the typewriter out and found it has 3 links missing that control movement of the A.+ and{ key levers. Nothing appears to be broken. The indexing seems in need of adjustment. Hammond 2 Universal Typewriter in Oak with Script/Cursive Type Shuttle& Regular Type Shuttle k This beautiful typewriter in great condition has a black ribbon and a new impression strip(necessary for the typewriter to type efficiently) and two type shuttles: the regular shuttle and a script/cursive shuttle. This Hammond has been cleaned and functions. But the platen has cracked and is dried up because of the age of the rubber. Because of the platen's warping, paper cannot be fed between the rubber platens. Certain companies recondition rubber platens, so this is easily fixable. The key tops are slightly worn and the decal shows some wear. The classic oak case has dutifully protected the Hammond and is in good condition with minimal damage. This is an Olympia Deluxe portable typewriter purchased new in Hong Kong at the United States Purchasing Branch of the U.S. Navy. in 1962. It is nice condition and includes the carrying case and all paperwork showing the purchase price. The original Warranty and the booklet to describe its' features and uses and working instructions which include the ribbon installation. It also has the original inspection report. The metal on the case handle could use some cleaning. The typewriter needs a ribbon which can be purchased on EBAY. Everything works and it typed perfectly with the previous ribbon.

With the“rounded look” This style was made from 1959 to 1966. Other“boxier” styles were made up into the 1980’s. The typewriter’s light green finish shines beautifully and is quite impressive. The main signs of wear or age are a couple paint chips around the corners of the keyboard area. Some scratches near the base on the lower front from the lid going on and off, a couple small areas on the right where the carriage passes over, and some wear around the base in the back.
