Beautiful Vintage German Anniversary Clock, Kundo - Keeps Good Time, Very Nice
This lovely German anniversary clock is in great running condition. It keeps good time and should only need to be wound once a year. Hence, the name"Anniversary Clock" The exposed brass on the base could stand to be polished, and if you look closely, you will find there are a few very light scuffs to the plexiglass dome. I believe these could be polished out very easily, but you really have to look for them, they aren't anything a casual observer would notice and don't detract from the beauty of this clock. The enameled clock face is decorated with a floral design and there are raised brass indicators at each of the hours. The pendulum is fasinating to watch: It swings slowly 360 degrees in one direction- pauses- swings 360 in the other direction- pauses- it is very restful and soothing, nothing at all like the electric ... moreimitations that have pendulums that constantly rotate in one direction. The clock stands a foot tall and is about 8" in diameter at the base. Three adjuster knobs permits you to easily level the clock so the pendulum swings freely. The key is included. A BEAUTIFUL ELECTRIC CLOCK DRIVEN CALCULAGRAPH. THESE WERE ORIGINALLY USED IN POOL HALLS AND TELEPHONE COMPANIES TO BILL FOR THE TIME USED. THE PLATE INSIDE IS MARKED CALCULAGRAPH CO EAST HANOVER N. J. MODEL 131 SERIAL 59535 110 V 60CY RATE $1.00This was most likely used in a pool hall to keep track of table use time. Handles red and green Bakelite. They are marked START AND FINISH. I not sure about its age, Bakelite was used in the beginning of the 1900s. It is made for mounting in a cabinet or wall with 4 ¼” of space behind the outer surface to keep it from unplugged to get free time. Handles are 5 ½”H. it measures 9 ¾” across. And would fit in a 8 ¾” dia. Hole. It would make a Great accessory for your game room or Man Cave. Condition. The chrome is in good condition for the age of the piece just need a good polish and ... moregood as new, very minor pitting that would polish out. Electric clock runs start and stop functions work. The back of the can of the clock is slightly dents in. The ribbon needs re-inking probably with the type of ink that was used to ink rubber stamp pads. I was able to get prints wetting it with alcohol. When you print a start it shows the date and $0 and $0.00 cents inserting the card again and pulling finish it show a dollar and cent amount according to the elapsed time at the $ 1.00 rate. The day can be set by using a clock key(not included) turn and release advances one day at a time. Using a pencil in the other hole pushing and releasing advances the month. This clock comes in the original box it was shipped in with the manual screws to mount it and the key to set the machine. The manual show all the operation and setting of the clock. I even have the orignal reciept for the clock that comes with the purchase. There are no time cards and the ink needs to be replaced. The reciept is dated 4-30-69 from Calculagraph. For your consideration is this lighted Sanitary Farm Dairies clock. It is 16 inches in diameter. A perfect size to fit almost anywhere. The slogan around the rim is"It's time for Mello D Milk" The face on the clock is glass and outside base is plastic and the back of the clock is tin. The clock and the lights do work and the picture does not do it justice. One of the sockets is loose. The electrical cord is not original. The light bulbs are not included. There are a few spots that there is some light soil, but if this doesn't sell I won't even bother to try and clean them, I am hanging it just as it is. For auction is this vintage SEIKO Quartz Dual-Time Zone travel alarm clock with Blue Lacquer folding case. The slim. Goldtone quartz movement unfolds from its protective blue lacquer case and forms a triangular shape for easy viewing. Both dual times and alarm are set by rotating the gold knob on the lower right-no menus to bother with. The main sliding switch varies the function between main time zone, second time zone, and alarm. Two time zones can be shown simultaneously. Night light is activated by a momentary button on the upper right. The real eye-catcher is the beautiful deep blue lacquer on both outside cases. They are in very good shape with a minimum of scratches. The interior of the case is lined with a creme-colored leatherette. With a few age lines, but no lifting at all. The lights work as well, but the switch does not shut off and I assume needs to be replaced, which is located under two small screws on the deck.
