Up for auction is this Antique Seth Thomas School House Regulator Wall Clock. The clock is in good condition. This clock is a Time and Strike clock. The clock is for parts or repair. The clock is in Good cosmetic condition. The clock's case is made out of wood. There are no cracks. Chips, breaks or repairs anywhere in the wood of the case. There are a couple of minor surface scratches in the wood from use over the years but nothing to take away from its appearance. The clock has glass on its drop down where the pendulum is. This glass appears to be original to the clock with its original reverse painting. The original paint is starting to flake from over the years(please see picture) There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The clock has a brass colored bezel. The glass dial cover is also in good condition with no chips or cracks. The ... moreglass will need to be re-seeded into the bezel as it is loose. The dial of the clock also appears to be original to the clock. The dial white painted on metal with black Roman Numerals and black hands. The original paint on the dial is also starting to flake from over the years. The Original Label is still intact on the inside of the case where the pendulum swings but the label is hard to read. The clock comes with its pendulum. I wound the clock up and the clock runs for about a minute or two but then stops. I do not know what is wrong with the clock. The clock counts the hours on the hour. This function works but seems to get stuck every now and then and starts back up. The movement of the clock might just need to be cleaned but I do not know for sure. The clock measures approx. 24” tall by 16” wide by 4 1/2” deep. Up for bidding is this Vintage Original Rare Time out for Dawson’s Factory Lighted Sign Telechron Clock Beer Advertisement. Ok here it finally is I have been under the weather and just coming around(thank you to those who have inquired about this piece) This amazing piece of vintage advertisement is in fully operational condition. Here is what I know about the clock. I removed the back cover to uncover the maker and replaced the lid back on. I notice the ring around the glass is missing some of their tabs. It is still held in place but will not guarantee it will be after shipping. There is one tab still in place and not sure how the others are adhered but appear to be. I ran the clock for two hours and seems to hold its time just fine. The bowed glass cover covering the clock is in great shape with very few scratches. The plastic Dawson’s ... morecover is in great shape with no cracks or chips just normal wearing. The light does work and seems to have a newer toggle switch that turns the light on and off at will. When plugged in only the clock runs allowing you to have the light on or off. The casing itself is all intact with some surface rust! This unit seems totally original(not the switch) and with very little wearing. Truly a remarkable piece of Massachusetts Beer Brewing History and outstanding addition for anyone. I can say this is the only one I have ever found or seen. No research results have allowed me to find any in existence. The cabinet is solid oak wood with great craftmanship, the wood has some age and use marks but no damage(but it can use a good cleaning) The large cast iron 50 number employee wheel on the front(with some numbers missing) is in great condition. There is an access door on each side with lock, key, and glass window. On the wheel you rotate the arm to select your employee# you select the in& out time of your shift, then you push in the arm that rings a bell and records the time in red ink on a paper time sheet. U.S.A. The clocks door is a thick bevaled glass and brass it is in excellent condition, and the clocks door locks from the inside. On the front is a brass tag that reads#8358 DEY TIME REGESTER SYRACUSE, N.Y. Patented SEP 24, 1889. AUG 7, 1894. JUL 10, 1894. MAR 28, 1899. The oak wood cabinet is 35 1/4" tall x 18" wide x 18" deep and the cast iron number wheel is 23 1/2" in diameter, it weighs about 200 Lbs. This beautiful old clock/ time regester is all orginal with it's old large brass winding key, the clock runs good, the bell rings well, it records the time, but it stops running when it wants to? But the style is more Modern than Art Deco to me. I love this clock, my husband does not. Art Deco heavy marble mantle clock French circa 1920.. working keeps good time
We are once again about to return from our house in France. And have decided to clear out some French antiques that we are not using. so I am putting some on eBay I am at present in France and the items are here. I will return on 15th March. But will be able to bring things with me to post in the UK. thus reducing your postage costs considerably This auction is for a lovely Art Deco Mantle Clock in very heavy lovely varigated marbles and other stone. The polished marble is in super undamaged condition and is VERY HEAVY. Please note the clock case. The face, are all original period items, circa 1920. After this. It gets a bit"different" The movement has been replaced with a modern quartz one. so it never needs winding or servicing and always shows the time very accurately. It takes a single AA battery that lasts for several years. ... morethe one in it has been there for 3 years and is still OK. These movements can run for 5 to 8 years on one battery. This would be a great clock for someone who wants the weight and quality of an original 1920's Art Deco item. But is nervous of wind up clocks, with all the worries about it stopping or needing servicing. The other thing I need to mention is that the lady on the top is a replacement. It is securely fastened however and looks the part 100% In reality 99.9% of people would never notice the"modifications" and it has sat on my mantlepiece for 3 years and no-one has ever noticed it is not a wind up clock. I offer it here. As it would create a"space" for one of my much loved wind up pendulum clocks. Actually the one I have here on eBay with the Lady and doves is the one I want to put there(so I am hoping in a way, that it does not sell. Vintage 1960s modern Electric wall clock Metamec Made in England keeps good time
Superb English made wall clock from my mother-in-law's house which was built in 1966. This clock was fitted in the kitchen shortly after the house was built and was working until earlier this week when mother-in-law bought a new clock which she wanted fitted in a different position. There was a standard(UK) square single flush fitting electrical box behind this clock providing power via the clock's fused plug and socket(included) This square plug/socket(shown in photo) is very slimline and is easily hidden. With the cable, behind the clock. The clock hangs on a hidden single screw or nail head(not included) The clock itself measures 9 3/4" 24.7cm) across and stands off the wall approx. 2 3/4" 7cm) It is a single casting in cream plastic with raised numerals picked out in black. I think the chromed bezel is very well made ... morefrom plastic like the rest of the clock, and holds a'glass' that is(I think) real glass. The hands are probably all aluminium. As the hour and minute hands are black and the second hand is anodised red. The clock has the following lettering cast on the reverse side: METAMEC MADE IN ENGLAND SS101 2W- 220/240v ~-50Hz.
