Late 1950s Swingline stapler: I've seen a lot of mint condition staplers listed. Some obviously have gotten a good scrubbing and a pass under the RustOleum can. This one has not. It still has the patina of age earned over a period of 50-plus years. Refinishing vintage and antique items can depreciate value so I leave that decision to the purchaser. This heavy metal stapler is 8 1/4" long and 3" high. Uses a standard size staple still easy to purchase. There are no dents but it shows wear and corrosion. Much of which can ben cleaned up with elbow grease. There is also a bit of tape on the top of the stapler's base(golden brown strip) a 50-plus strip of tape which says"A. W. Two industrial box staplers with 24.000 staples! These are set up for hands free operation! These were over $600 new each and the staples were about $120. So the winner is getting about $1300 worth of equipment very cheap. The last picture is a factory representation of the setup that would be used. The stapler gets mounted vertical and then you just push the box up to it for a hands free use. I am however not including any stands. These are easily obtained or made very inexpensively. Bostitch M3 Hardwood Flooring Floor Stapler M111FS with Mallet
I am selling my Bostitch hardwood flooring stapler. If you have done your research you will know that this is the best and preferred tool for installing hardwood tongue and groove flooring. I used this stapler to lay down approximately 2500 sq. ft. of Brazillian Cherry ¾” flooring. With 15 ga. staples, and the tool never misfired or jammed at anytime. It performed flawlessly and exactly as I expected from my research. I oiled the tool with 6 drops of Porter Cable air tool oil with every use. And it was never abused or subjected to any misuse. It is simply a perfect tool. There are a few nics and scuffs and worn areas of the paint. But it is a used tool and not factory new, so please expect these faults. I also purchased separately a Powernailer brand mallet. Which I preferred over the mallet provided by Bostitch. It has a longer handle ... morefor better leverage. The mallet has a few nics in the front edge of the rubber head. But they absolutely don’t affect its use. It also has a heavy cast iron head on the backside for installing the tongue and groove flooring. Please see the pics to verify my description. There are a few staples left in the gun. Which are included, but the staples are readily available at any of the big box stores. I only used genuine Bostitch staples and not some cheap aftermarket brand from the off shore sellers. All of my auctions are with no reserve and with a very reasonable starting price. So please bid to win. As you can see from feedback score of 100% with nearly 2000 auctions. I am extremely proud and protective of my Ebay integrity. The tool will be safely wrapped and boxed and shipped within 24 hrs of the auction ending. This will require you to insert the bolt that holds the top and bottom together. You will then need to put the 2 nuts back on the bolt to secure the top and bottom. A great vintage stapler. It does have scratches on it from use but it works well. It has some staples in it and I had had absolutely no problem getting it to work. This is a used but good condition sheeting stapler. Has an allen screw on the back of nose to adjust depth as needed. I used this last week to staple some 3/4" plywood on some boxes I was building and it flat drives them home. Good balanced tool. Add your air fitting to match your hose and put it to work.
