Set up on casters to make it a little easier to move around. The top is all automotive adds from 1957 and event he pullout has been coated in them! Has locks but I don't have the key. For auction is one stellar vintage All Steel Equipment(ASE) swivel armchair from the 1960's. This is one of my favorite desk chair designs from this era; the blend of industrial ruggedness and mod swagger is just perfect. Look at those lines. People! The angles of the arms and backrest, the tapered 4-prong base, the hooded casters.and that big black plastic ball on the tension adjustment lever underneath is like the period at the end of a beautifully written sentence. The upholstery is all original and in excellent condition. Though the foam seems to have deteriorated somewhat in front. It looks like it would be easy to have the foam replaced without sacrificing the upholstery, though. It would be a shame to get rid of the original vinyl and fabric blend, though, especially when the only flaw in the upholstery is just a little bit of ... morerubbing on the top rear edge of the backrest(pictured) The metal has been cleaned and polished. And the casters have been relubricated. There is a small amount of pitting on a couple of small areas on the 4-prong base(pictured) but otherwise the frame is rust-free and looks to be finished in brushed nickel plate. The upholstery has also been professionally cleaned. This chair is ready for immediate use! Vintage Alma Desk Co. Chair I picked up this Neat Alma Desk Co Vintage Office Chair at an estate sale outside of Washington. DC. This vintage office chair is in good condition and has green vinyl material on the back seat and sides of chair cushion. I believe that the material on the cushion is cotton. There is one small nic in the vinyl. A missing black piece on the bottom where the wheels are and a few light orange spots on the cushion that I have not tried to remove. There are a couple of imperfections on the wood that is apart of normal wear. Since this item is large. Up for sale is a fantastic victorian steampunk style wingback oak(or walnut) swivel desk chair. Unlike many wood swivel desk chairs made around the end of the 19th century. Up into the beginning of the mid century modern movement in the 1930's and 40's, this is actually a high back design, with very cool rustic wingback styling. A very rare piece to find, particularly in this condition. There haven't been any breaks or serious repairs to this chair. And the mechanics to adjust the height and tension of the rocking/reclining feature are perfect. Made by the Seng furniture company out of Chicago. Vintage Okamura Mid-Century Modern Secretary Sewing Office Desk Task Chair. Gray Product Details: Because I had to remove thread from the casters. I think this chair was last used for sewing, perhaps in a mill somewhere. 15-1/2" wide x 19" deep x 32-1/4" high overall 18-1/2" high as it sits now. I was able to adjust it up. But when I sat on it it slipped back down. I think it was because I didn't tighten the set screw enough, but in case I'm wrong, I would add a collar or spacer to keep it at ... morethe height you want it. Decent condition. The padding doesn't have any rips or tears. There are some little tiny spots that look like white-out splatter or paint on the seat along with other cosmetic marks. There is a very small almost pinhole sized nic to the front of the seat that looks like one of those little spots. The metal parts have scratches and wear to the finish in several places as shown. All this is very normal for chairs of this age. I removed thread that was wrapped around the caster wheel hubs and oiled the chair and it now swivels and rolls around easily. Please see the pictures for more details. This chair has been partially dismantled for compact shipment. Very nice. 1950s, Mid Century desk. The desk is three pieces and includes the large desk top/work area, chrome side leg and 3 drawer file cabinet. The unit is laminate covered with chrome trim and side leg. The laminate has a granite look and is brown with flecks of tan/gold. The desk is not laminate covered on the file cabinet exterior side and is designed to fit against a wall. This is a very nice, Retro Modern" desk. It is in very good condition with some minor cosmetic aging. The chrome has some age spots. The laminate top has a few minor scratches and a couple of small discolored areas. There is a small piece of missing laminate inside the file cabinet section(see picture 10) It has been painted with a textured paint and is fairly invisible. This lamp is circa 1930s1940s and has a thick square plug-see pic provided. the double-arm frame is nice with Industrial Machine-age Steampunk sockets marked"Leviton" and sockets holders with circles in them-the socket metal holders have the three original screws in each which are used to hold the shades in place(see close-up pics provided) This is a sort of factory office desk lamp as it has a platform for notepad. Pen, and paper-etc. to be placed on(see pics) with original green felt on it-the felt could be replaced by buyer to freshen up the platform/lamp with a nice navy blue felt pad-it would look lovely-I have left it as it is in original undisturbed condition for the integrity ... moreof the piece so you see that the felt is worn and aged and dusty but is very easy to place a new piece of felt of your choosing(see pics of this feature) The switch to the lamp is located on the front of the platform/base-it is slightly askew and turns on and off well, I have not tried to straighten it. Good Late C19th Antique Victorian Mhaogany Twin Pedestal Office Writing Desk
Here for auction we have a good Victorian mahogany twin pedestal office desk dating to the latter part of the 19th century. This fine example has a deep green hand tooled leather inset top over a frieze of three drawers supported atop pedestals with further shorter drawers raised on plinth base with castors. The drawers are mahogany lined with original swan neck handles and canted edges. The desk is in good working order being suitable for use. The drawers on the front of the desk boast carved fretwork fronts and retain the original brass handles. There is a pretty shaped frieze below the central drawer. The whole of the desk features a shaped serpentine frame. The sides and back of the desk feature inset panels. The oak lined drawers feature a hand-dovetailed construction. The desk sits on elegant cabriole legs. The desk was designed to be freestanding in the middle of the room; this is why there is decorative detail on the sides and back of the desk. Vintage, Walnut Herman Miller, George Nelson Designed 2 Pedestal Executive Office Desk and was most likely built between 1958 and 1963. The desk is from the Herman Miller Company’s Executive Office Group 8000 Series and is model 8865. The left pedestal has two drawers, an upper storage drawer and a lower file drawer. The right side is a 3-drawer pedestal. The"floating" desktop measures 84 inches long and 36 inches wide and has a height of 29.5 inches. The attached privacy screen is in excellent condition. The desk is marked on two of the drawer ... morehandles with the Herman Miller name and logo, and has labels inside of two drawers that designate it as a George Nelson design. All of the drawers open and close smoothly and can be locked. There are 3 keys for the 2 locks. There are some small scratches, drill holes, tiny areas of veneer loss, an area of white paint, and areas of light fading. Holes were drilled into the top front of each pedestal to install plastic brackets to hold electric cords and two holes were drilled into the bottom of each pedestal. Overall this Herman Miller/George Nelson walnut desk is in very good vintage condition. See Photos) This desk easily disassembles for transport. The top can be removed with 6 bolts and the two pedestals are attached to the modesty screen with a few screws. According to the 1961 Herman Miller product brochure the 84 x 36 inch desk top is the largest available and weighs 110 pounds. Transportation will be the responsibility of the buyer.
