Fantastic opportunity to own a genuine Art Deco handbag notebook holder. With original notepad inside. This is a lovely piece made of brass with black and red enamel stylised Scotty dog/ Highland terrier decoration. It is a small notepad holder with the original notepad inside. It would have been for a ladies handbag and is classic Art Deco in style. I bought this in Wales and found that inside the case was a little notepad which had the date August 23rd 1930 or 1936. The rest of the message is in Welsh! You can see this in one of the pictures. The case is approx 3 inches long. Has a hinged flap and is in remarkably good condition for a small item of this age. I haven't cleaned it so there are a couple of blemishes as can be seen in the photos. However I believe they could be removed easily. Please contact me if you have any questions.

For auction today is this gorgeous Antique or Vintage Art Deco Cast Brass Note Pad with Pen holder and Envelope Opener Set. The word Knosos is on the front and the letters KPHTH is on the bottom front which is the Egyptian God of Writing. The initials I.K. are on the front right as well. I heard that this may mean Island of Crete but I cannot confirm that. Among the symbology on the piece. The shape of Crete is on the bottom with the letters KPHTH on it. The opener measures 7 1/4" long and the pad is 5" long. I think this is the original pad inside minus some paper. This piece is exceptional and the perfect piece of Unique for your desk. It was bought at Disneyland in 1957 and so was sold there sometime between 1955 and 1957. It has a blotter glued to the bottom so it won't scratch your desk.
