Vintage Monarch Pathfinder Label Maker w/ Number/Letter Dies. Industrial Machine
Travel back in time with this vintage Monarch Pathfinder label maker. It does have some tape left. But not a full roll(see photo) It has a built-in drawer on the bottom with dozens and dozens of metal letter/number dies for the labels. It has the original dust cover. As far as I can tell it works, but the ink pad is dry. It was used for many years in an Ohio dry cleaning shop. You crank the handle and the die gets inked and stamps on label tag at a time. It's an ingenious little all-mechanical non-electrical machine age machine. It will look cool in your store or as an interior decoration bauble. The most popular brand is Dymo. 3/8 inch width will work. 1/4 inch width will also work. I always like the 3/8 inch version. I could never locate the 3M version of the label tape so I had to switch suppliers to Dymo. Yes. The Dymo plastic dispenser does"fit" inside the 3M and works just fine. I stored this precious tool inside a plastic box and always carried this tool in the back seat of my truck.
