Condition: Used Location: Houston, United States Description You're looking at a round table by produced by the Herman Miller Company. It was aquired for a recent photo shoot. which has sucessfully ... moreconcluded. Budget restrictions direct that it be released from invantory. The top is of white laminate. It measures 36 inches in diameter by 1 1/8" thick. The white laminate is in immaculate condition. It's tough to photograph this unblemished goodness. if there were a blemish I'd have something to take a picture of. From floor to top the table measures 29 inches high. The top is ringed by a rubber-like black bumper edging that is in good used condition. It has a few smudges and one small area of damage(pictured) that measures about one inch. The smudges come off with a bit of attention. I've tried to picture the worst of the blemeshes. they really don't amount to much. The top by every indication is original to the base. Seems that one of the philistines at the shoot attached the top to some sort of platform- thus there are extraneous screw holes on the underside of the top. These holes are visible only when laying on the ground looking up at the underside of the table. The underside retains a property tag from the legend Chicago trading firm Sakura Dellsher. As that firm became insolvent in 2000. You can rest assured that clear title to this table will be passed to the buyer. The legs are in patinated undamaged condition. Let me explain: I see no dents. Gouges, brakes, cracks, etc. in the aluminum legs or the steel posts that connect the legs to the table. What is evident is fourty years or so of patina on the legs, which I am lothe to remove. If you, the buyer would like to have these legs polished, I imagine the result would be beautiful and sparkly. Should you crave the mellow hue of unrestored cast aluminum. well, that's what's being offered. All told. The condition of this table is commensurate with professional adult use during it's lifetime. Herman Miller Charles and Ray Eames Charles and Ray married in 1941 and moved to California where they continued their furniture design work with molding plywood. During the war they were commissioned by the Navy to produce molded plywood splints. Stretchers and experimental glider shells. In 1946, Evans Products began producing the Eameses` molded plywood furniture. Their molded plywood chair was called"the chair of the century" by the influential architectural critic Esther McCoy. Soon production was taken over by Herman Miller, Inc. who continues to produce the furniture in the United States to this day. Mid Century Modern Herman Miller Eames Plywood Salesman's Sample Child's Chair
Incredible estate sale find! Molded natural plywood salesman's sample or child's chair in excellent vintage condition. I can't believe a child ever used it very much because of the wonderful condition. The finish is a beautiful clear natural blond wood which has a golden patina. May be Henry Miller or Eames. Not signed, but definitely in that style. My friend is an experienced dealer in mid century modern furniture and he has never seen this size. There is VERY slight warping as one leg does not touch the floor by about 1/2 inch. However. With just a few pounds of pressure on the seat, the chair becomes very stable. This warping is probably do to the construction. The only other minor issues I see is a small green paint line on the front of the back support and a small area of drips on the seat. Please look at the photos and ask ... moreany questions you may have. These issues are barely noticeable and could be removed by a restorer very easily. The chair measures 19 inches high. The seat is 11 1/2" wide and 10" high at the front and 9" at the back. If you chose to bid and are not satisfied for ANY reason. Your money will be immediately refunded upon return of the chair in the same condition. I value my 100% satisfaction feedback and will quickly resolve any issue. Vintage "JETSON " Herman Miller Eames Fiberglass Barstools
The Bar stools stand 38 inches tall and 18 and a half inches at the widest point of the seat. about 16 inches deep As sturdy 16 round steel base supports the fiberglass cone and footrest.the handle to engage the up and down motion is attached on both stools but its not functioning. There are no cracks dents or dings in the fiberglass one has a small wrinkle in the front see last pictures Surface rust on bottom of the base. the chrome on the stem and the up and down handle is completely pitted.The footrest is not so bad it appears to have been painted at one time and is about 30 percent.pitted.
