Original fibreglass weave shell in beautiful seafoam green. With an original Eiffel base. The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene. Which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully. In very good overall condition. With just a couple of small scuffs here and there, in keeping with its age, but nothing noticeable. A stunning chair- a totally classic. Very collectable piece. The seat and base will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired- please message. Sliding Glass Door Credenza(this auction) Here's a wonderful vintage 1950s era George Nelson designed for Herman Miller glass credenza unit. This particular style was made especially to sit on a Herman Miller slat bench as seen in the first photo. It features 2 sliding glass doors. Both with the iconic George Nelson"scoop" handles that are built into the glass and a interior lamp that switches on and off as needed. The piece is a authentic but is missing the Herman Miller sticker ... moreas many of these vintage pieces are. CONDITION Overall the unit is in excellent condition with no major detractions. There are no breaks. Cracks or splits to the wood. The sliding glass is complete and without chips or cracks. The lamp has been tested and works as it should. The electrical cord is complete and without damage. There are some light scuff and scratch marks as seen in the photos that are normal for a unit of this age. Many of these have been lightly colored in with a furniture crayon and are very hard to spot. Photo 9 and 10 show both sides of the unit which has some of this light wear. Photo 11 shows a small area on the top which also has some light wear. These photos show the sides with direct light applied to it to make these minor detractions stand out more. The unit is missing the glass(or wood) shelves that went inside but it does have 8 of the metal clips that hold the shelves. These fit into the interior slots as they should and are secure. The cord that goes to the lamp is secure to the sides and top but not taut. It leads to a vintage transformer which sits loosely on the bottom interior. 7 Krueger Green Bay Wisconsin Side Chairs This listing is for 7 Krueger Turquoise fiberglass mid-century side chairs in pretty good condition. The chairs comes right out of the 50's/60's. The chairs are in good vintage condition with minor fading. Some minor scuffing from stacking, and some light surface cracks that do not go very deep. A couple of chairs are chippped on the edges. They are not perfect. There are some chairs that have stains in the seats from storage but looks like with the right cleaning product they will come up beautiful. The chrome finish is generally good with a little rust showing at the very bottoms of one of the legs. A sharp looking chair. The chair is 32" tall and 18-1/2" across. Up for bidding is this pair of Herman Miller fiberglass side shells in pretty decent vintage condition. These Eames classics in 2 shades of parchment have good fiber content and nice lustre. Both show typical edgewear and the lighter one has a few teeny chips. Both show some discoloration to fiberglass which I think comes from age and is more common with this color. For your consideration is a set of five(5) authentic vintage original EAMES Herman Miller armshell chairs in various colors. You will receive the following: 1. RAW UMBER or greige color with a subtle tinge of green. It's kind of a chameleon and looks gray. Green, or greige depending on the lighting condition. In any case, it's a lovely color and one of the best neutral shades from Eames. This is a 2nd generation post-rope edge chair. One of the early Zenith generation chairs, so it predates the Herman Miller embossment, which first appeared in the late 1950s, and retains the large hockey puck sized shock mounts and thicker edges. This armshell has no cracks but has age-appropriate wear such as surface dirt. Fading, edge wear including a rough spot, stress marks, and superficial scratches, as depicted, but no integral damage. Alexander Girard ORANGE NAUGAHYDE Covered ELEPHANT HIDE GRAY Fiberglass Zenith Shell with Brown Painted back This is one of the early Zenith generation chairs. So it predates the Herman Miller embossment, which first appeared in the late 1950s. Features the large hockey puck shock mounts and original black X-base sans glides. Most of the upholstered chairs with the detachable naugahyde covers were factory painted. This was painted brown. But you can see from the top exposed edge that the original shell is elephant hide gray. Features the relatively rare backwards"Z" embossment encircled by the raised 3 dots. Since this chair is from one of the earlier generations. The edges are noticeably thicker and therefore sturdier than subsequent shells. Overall great vintage condition with age-appropriate wear such as standard scratches on the paint and seam separations and dirt on the vinyl. The shock mounts are original still firm and intact. The condition is in general good condition but the rubber cover trim for the fabric is loose in a few areas. It does not compromise the integrity of the chair. Up for your consideration is one EAMES Herman Miller fiberglass side shell chair[this listing is for one(1) side shell only(no base) in the wide mount configuration. This auction is for 1 lemon yellow shell chair. Chair is in excellent vintage condition. Sturdy& completely useable! Shell does exhibit some age-appropriate wear as shown in the pictures-some minor scratches, scuffs and very faint fading particularly on the back of chair as seen. Some edge wear(particularly on the right side, very little on the left) the edge wear seen in photo(of the right side of chair) is the worst of the edge wear present but as you can see is somewhat negligible. George Nelson Designer CSS 3 Bay Wall Unit 1960's Produced By Herman Miller
We have a three bay COMPREHENSIVE STORAGE SYSTEM unit for sale. This well equipped CSS unit has five standard flat 12 inch teak shelves. Two 14 1/8" inch deep teak shelves, two slanted magazine shelves, two sliding blue door cabinets, one record divider-file cabinet, and one five drawer teak cabinet with the Herman Miller logo seen on top of the drawer pulls. It also has a small teak file unit, not attached. see photo) There are two black lights that are attached on each end. We are not sure if they are original to the piece but they are functional. Also included are some original CSS shelf hardware clips and connectors and a round foot piece. This CSS unit was designed by George Nelson and manufactured by Herman Miller. It measures 93 1/2" tall.and 97 1/4" wide. This mid century era CSS unit looks very nice overall and shows ... morenormal wear in a few places. There is some normal wear evident on the blue doors in places from past use. There is a small dime size chip in the teak veneer evident on the back top corner of the shelf cabinet with the cubby holes. The two 14 1/8" shelves were custom made from CSS shelving to allow for deeper vintage stereo components. The wall anchors are fastened properly to the vertical poles but the hardware used appears to be non CSS hardware but is fully functional and secure. We note a single hole down low on the front of one vertical pole and there are a few random holes on each pole down low on the back side of each vertical pole done by a previous owner. This is a very nice complete CSS set larger than you often see. This unit would look great in a Danish modern living room. This item is available for local pick up OR we are willing to deliver in a 200 mile radius from Seattle for $100. OR top bidder if out of state must arrange shipping and pickup of this item. It measures a whopping 72 inches in length. That's 6 feet long! Holy Moley! This is a true vintage piece but is missing the easily lost Herman Miller sticker as many vintage pieces do. Complete dimensions are 72 inches long by 18.75 inches wide by 14 inches high CONDITION The bench is in overall excellent vintage condition with no breaks. Cracks, gouges or major detractions. It does have some minor scuffs and scratches as is normal in a piece of this age. Faded, dirty, with many labels missing. see image) SHOCK MOUNT CONFIGURATION: nine are Wide mount. One is narrow mount. CONDITION/DESCRIPTION: Shells are in decent condition. Showing wear from age and use, in the form of- dirt, marks, and rubs and scratches. One seat has a small crack to the edge. And one seat back has been rubbed to the point where it is a little out ... moreof symmetry- not terrible, but noticeable upon CLOSE scrutiny. Shell color varies within the lot, as the seats may have been sourced from different lots. 4 Vintage EAMES HERMAN MILLER DSS CHAIRS STACKING Mid Century Modern 60s
Place your eyes on these beauties that we just got in to the Populuxe mod warehouse! This is a wonderful set of 4 vintage Eames Herman Miller DSS stackable chairs. These are the real deal. Stamped Herman Miller. They feature the classic grey Eames fiberglass shell and are clad in what is best described as shocking electric green padded vinyl. They look to be from the late 60s or very early 70s. Check out the great stitching detail with the bright green contrasting against the grey edge trim! They have the classic interlocking design on their metal bases and can easily lock together to form a long line of seating or remain apart to bask in their singular glory! Can you tell I really love these chairs? Condition on these are excellent with no rips or tears to the vinyl and just the barest hint of wear and discoloration in a spot or two. These ... moredetractions are hard to spot but I tried to take photos of any of these areas. They really are minor. The metal bases do have some oxidation due to age but nothing huge. Ugly or horrible. Check out the photos again to see detail of this. Finally one of the foot gliders is missing from one of the chairs. Not a big deal and easily replaced. I've seen the gliders for sale on Ebay. As I stated above.
