Herman miller envelop desk with glide. No break at all. It is about one year old. I bought it from officedesigns.com for new one, used as a computer desk. Black frame with white laminated top. You might have to clean it. And one thing. I used monitor arm for a while(Herman miller Flo monitor arm with cintiq 22hd) and the wood top is little bit vent. I think Cintiq was too heavy. It works perfectly fine and you will barely see it. I am just being honest. This is the best, ultimate desk and I love it. I cannot just keep it anymore since I have to move out to other country in a couple of months later. If you can come pick it up, I will end the list. This is Ann Arbor. Rare Herman Miller "Perch Stool" desk / drafting table with Probst leather seat.
Let me first say that I am not an expert. I am using information from ebay and other sources for this description. The desk is the rare tall one. It is a roll top. There are a couple of small problems with it. Black paint is a little cracked along the side. One slat on the top is broke only a small piece that is not very noticeable. I hate to sell it but cannot fit in my house. It comes with Probst leather stool. I have seen these stools sell for more than $1000 each alone. All Shipping are the buyers responsibility. Description This is a very unusual and high quality mid-century table that has a rosewood top with the butterfly construction to keep the boards together. The base is bronze and wood. The top is a thick solid rosewood measuring 28x26 inches. Overall height of the table is 29 inches. The table is unsigned but most likely made by a high quality company and has the characteristics of George Nakashima or Herman Miller or George Nelson design. George Nakashima did do some very similar rosewood tops with butterfly construction and most of his works are unsigned. The George Nelson or Herman Miller companies did do some bases that are similar to this and some of their table tops have this butterfly construction. So both makers did incorporate similar design in their tables. Charles Eames Herman Miller Loose Cushion Armchair
I think this old Herman Miller chair has seen better days BUT I think with the knowledge. Time and material it could be brought back to life. The previous owner had animals hence the hair everywhere. There also are smudges on the lower right near the seat(see pics) Also on both arms the leather is starting to split(please see pictures) The loose cushion needs to be cleaned as well. I have done nothing to alter its appearance. I didn't want to take the chance of cleaning it with something that could possibly be irreversible. I'm no expert on Herman Miller chairs or Mid Century for that matter but from the research I've done i think this is called a Loose Cushion Armchair and was one of Charles Eames lst designs. Vintage Eames Era molded wood and vinyl chair. This chair belonged to my mother and I think it was bought in the 60s. It is in really good condition with some wear for age. The stain has worn off the edge of the corners of the legs near the bottom. But this would be easy to touch up. The vinyl is in good condition, but does have one small dark spot in the seat, and one small white speck. On the molded wood that supports the back rest, there are a few black spots. They look a little like paint that could be rubbed off. The vinyl is an avocado green. It is a very comfortable chair. My mother always thought this was a Herman Miller chair. But it is not marked.
