This is a great old Oak Spool Cabinet Countertop desk with a leather top. It is 28 X 20.25 inches X 12 inches tall. The wood is in beautiful condition. The metal inkwell is intact but there is no insert. Words on the drawers were removed but the outlines are still visible. It looks like the original knobs were replaced with old porcelain ones. Very nice old desk. Heywood Wakefield Antique School Desk - Wood and Iron are in great shape for age
Desktop has a small line of yellow paint that can probably be buffed out but I don't want to ruin this piece by incorrectly restoring it. Seat has a small area that appears to have been taped several time- this also will likely rub out with the right process but I am not comfortable restoring it. This is a very cool piece that can add character to just about any room. I am also including a small wooden replica that I happened to find. This is a wonderful gift set for an educator.

Circa 1900 Antique Hand Carved Wood Woman's Writing Desk From Mexico
One of a kind. Very good condition woman's writing desk from Mexico, circa 1900. This one of a kind piece has no screws or glue, and fits like a puzzle! This desk was brought to the United States circa 1970 from Durango, Mexico by my Grandmother. She in turn received it from her piano teacher years before! The desk shows quite well, as it has only been used as a decorative piece since at least 1970. Please note, all pieces are present, although the drawer handle needs to be reattached.

But have no place for a desk set to be displayed. There are 5 pieces with one having a lid. The big dovetail box is a stretch out cigarette holder storage box. It has little ball legs on the bottom. The box measures 5in. x 3 1/2in. x 6in. The mushroom style container could of held matches or stamps. It is 1 1/2in. deep and with the lid on it's 2 1/2in. tall. The domed lid has 2 1/2in. diameter. The other little pedestal bowl- maybe paper clips. It measure 1 1/2in. x 2in. These three pieces are in very good condition. ... moreThe memo pad has a very detailed. Geometric designed lid with color, a used memo pad, and measures 6 1/2in. x 3 3/4in. The oilcloth type green fabric is wrinkly, but looks like it can be removed. The last piece is rocking ink blotter. I didn't take off the old blotter, but it's a piece that you change the blotter as it gets used up. It measures 5 1/2in. x 3in. with a 1 1/2in. x 1 1/4in. knob. It's also very decoratively burned with a geometric pattern with color. Simple fixes cloth and new blotter makes these two pieces in very nice condition. Vintage 1990 Cram's Imperial World Globe in very nice gently used condition. This is the 12" desk model in a lovely tan color and features a wood base. I believe the age of the globe has been accurately determined. As this globe reflects Myanmar vs. Burma, a united Germany vs. West and East Germany, and with the USSR still shown. Nice solid globe that displays nicely. Tiniest of nicks along the edge of the wood base(can be seen in the first picture) Could be easily touched up with a bit of wood stain if so desired. We found this wood photo album at an estate sale; no information on age or origin was available. It is constructed of cherry finished wood. Carved along edges and on one side accented with gold. The book cover on the right has a gilded fleur-de-lis in relief and braided accents on edges. This cover and plastic inserts inside are drilled to fit through two antiqued bronze posts/rings. Includes sleeves for forty 4" X 6" photos(20 double-sided sleeves) bottom is lined with black velvet. Overall measurements: 11" X 7" X 1-1/4" Fairly heavy CONDITION: previously owned. Sleeves appear unused. Wood has some rubbing here/there with some spots and uneven finish however it's possible this piece was intentionally'distressed'

Vintage Mid 20th Century Desk Chair I am not certain of the exact age or origin of this chair. But it appears to be mid 20th century, probably post World War II. I am suspecting 50s or 60s, but I am no expert on vintage furniture provenance(Antiques Roadshow lingo again. could be older. It is solid wood construction with a laminated desk top on wood. The steel hardware and wood fittings are all in good shape and the chair is tight and serviceable. Its original finish shows obvious signs of wear and regular use and was probably actually in a public school environment in its day. There is still some gum residue(though any actual gum"wads" have long since been removed) under the seat and table! It measures about 32" high overall with a 17 1/2" wide by 17" deep seat. 17" seat to floor height. Antique All Wood Two Seater Tall School Desk
I've done this for 30 plus years and have never run across a school desk like this before. It's a two seater. Or possibly three small children, more than likely from a one room schoolhouse around the turn-of-the-century. I think the wood is Ash or Chestnut, but not positive. The top and the seat is pegged to the base. There are screws holding the seat to the back support. It is absolutely wonderful. It measures 47" long by 37" wide and 38" tall.
