VINTAGE LIBRARY BUREAU 6 DRAWER FILE CARD CABINET~BEAUTIFUL TIGER OAK
This cabinet is probably close to 80 years old and is in still really good condition it has dovetail jointing on the cabinet and on the drawer pulls themselves. It is Tiger oak wood and there are a lot of tiger stripes throughout. I've never seen one with with such an array of tiger stripes. One of the drawers has a solid bottom in it for pencils and tape and staplers and what have you. The plywood on the back has a 1 inch to a 1& 1/2 inch wide piece of veneer missing off of it which could be darkened and backed up against a wall and not even noticed. The cabinet measures 13& 1/2wide by 13& 1/2 tall by 16&1/2 deep. The drawer measures 5& 1/8 wide by 3& 1/4 tall by 14& 1/2 inches deep. The keepers all work properly too. It has solid red brass pulls with ID pockets on each drawer. The drawers all slide smooth ... moreand easy. The bottom has some small drill holes, see pictures. Vintage Wooden Desktop File Cabinet This file cabinet looks like it might be in the Georgian style. It was used to store letters or papers It features a slant top and wonderful wood grain. There appears to be some crazing in the wood varnish. There are also some scuffs across the lid. See photos. This vintage piece of office equipment has some damage. See our photos for all detail. Some wood edging is missing in 2 places on the lid of the file cabinet. There are also some nicks in the wood on the inner edge of the lid and 2 gouges. There are some spots on the base that are missing the edging. All hardware is original. Intact and working. INSIDE: The body of the cabinet has twelve(12) slots for wooden dividers. One(1) divider is missing. The eleven(11) that remain are in very good condition. No nicks. Cracks, repairs, etc. In front of the ... moredivider section there are three compartments. The wooden dividers can be removed to reveal a SECRET COMPARTMENT. The wood pieces that make up this area may not be original as the stain does not cover the entire piece of wood. BODY: There are some minor nicks on the edges in 5 places. See photos. The back has a spot where the finish looks like it's missing and there is an area under the hinge that is bowed out a little. Someone who is knowledgeable in restoring wood furniture would be able to bring this piece back to its original appearance. If you are a collector of vintage office pieces this is a great piece. It would probably look better with a good cleaning and oiling with a quality product and some gentle. Loving patience. This is a set of 6 old file label holders from a file cabinet. These antique label holders are green painted steel. Each label holder is 5 1/8 inches x 2 1/4 inches and holds a 4 1/2 in x 1 7/8 in label. Some of the paint has worn away. One has more paint missing than the rest. There is some rust where the paint is missing. They are not completely flat. Though they should be fine when tacked onto a piece of wood.

This is a nice quality wooden cabinet and it's made from tiger oak with brass handles. It's a deep rich red stain color and parts of it have faded or something and they are a greenish color. The cabinet is in good shape for it's age and has a few nicks. Dings or scrapes on it as you can see in the pictures. There is a noticeable color difference in the wood on the left drawers and the door on the right side. The drawers are dovetail mortised along the sides as you can see in the pictures. 10 1/4" X 7 1/4" X 15" deep. Perfect small size vintage oak file cabinet. Cabinet is well built with solid oak& dovetail joints. Very slight separation in the butt joints in a couple of spots. As found original finish showing more wear on the top than the sides. 7/8" circle of lighter color area where a tag or I.D. of some sort was mounted with 2 small brads or tacks on the upper left side corner. Retains original metal(copper? file tightener which slides on a copper rod. Also retains 2 metal file dividers(aluminum) with title slots& 2 old heavy paper file dividers. Overall very nice condition oak or tiger oak finish on this well built 14lb file box. Sorry. I could not find any makers I.D.

The workspace table top at lowest height is about 45 inches from the ground& 17 inches deep on incline. This is 2 sections of drawers that stack on a base side by side and has a top to hold them together. Each section has 10 drawers. The overall measurements are 44 1/2" tall, 45 1/2" wide, 28 1/2" deep. There are 20 drawers and each measures 10 5/8" wide x 5 1/8" tall and 27 1/2" deep. The base measures 10 1/2" tall x 45 1/2" wide and 25 1/2" deep. Cabinet is a sand or beige color and has use wear with scratches and some minor dings and dents. IT was made for Grand and Toy Office Outfitters and has a Toronto emblem for that company pinned above the drawers. Top and sides are quarter-sawn oak. Front and back are straight oak. The bottom is unfinished softwood(and much stained) There is one very tiny chip on the bottom edge of one side. One of the brass drawer pulls is bent but still functional. The surfaces show mild scuffing and a few light scratches consistent with use– certainly nothing disfiguring. The cabinet measures 5 3/8” high by 14” across by 17 ¼” long. It weighs a hefty 16 lbs(about 7.3 kg) Each drawer is large enough to hold file cards about 3 ¼” by 5” This is large and heavy and will be expensive to ship. Be aware of that cost.
