This chair is from the late 30s early 40s.I dont know who made it. I have two as shown but this listing is for just one of them. The joints have metal brackets as shown. I have not tried to take them off but they both need some TLC. Also.On one of them two of the castors come off if you lift up the chair but I'm sure this is an easy fix. It looks like they were adjustable at one time but someone put brackets on the bottom to keep it from adjusting. I took quite a few pictures to show any damage and the brackets. But I can't find any dates on this chair. It is really comfortable to sit in-you can raise or lower the seat level and the back-rest can be adjusted to fit your posture. The chair swivels and has casters for rolling around. The back rest also swivels completely around(see the picture where I show it perpendicular to the floor. The upholstery is a tweed type material in orange/brown/black. The outdoor photos show the color the best. I don't know if this is the original upholstery or not. Vintage Steelcase Industrial Office Metal Drafting Stool Chair
For auction is one beautiful vintage Steelcase metal drafting stool from the early to mid 1980s. It is in fantastic original condition. It is upholstered in black vinyl and has a gorgeous chrome base. The entire stool has been cleaned and detailed from top to bottom. And the chrome gleams from a fresh polishing. The backrest has a few light scratches and one nicked upper corner on the back(see photos) The only other flaw is with the chrome adjustment collar. Which, while fully functional, has an uneven edge. I have provided a closeup photo of this detail. The seat height adjusts from 25"31" The footrest ring measures 19" in diameter, and the base measures 20.5" across/28.5" diagonally. Vintage ASE All Steel Industrial Metal Office Arm Chair Mid Century Modern
For auction is one vintage All Steel Equipment(ASE) armchair from the 1960s. Beautiful. Well-designed brushed steel frame and original upholstery. The frame is spotless and the upholstery is in fantastic condition; not a nick or tear to be found. It is upholstered in a sharp blend of black vinyl and black fabric, and has been thoroughly cleaned. The frame has also been cleaned and polished. The only flaw is that the padding in the seat has deteriorated somewhat and the front edge of the seat slumps a little(see photos) and there's some yellow dust coming out underneath. For auction is one vintage Domore metal armchair from the late 1960s or early 1970s. It is in excellent original condition and has been thoroughly cleaned and polished top to bottom. The upholstery(black vinyl with a black cloth seat) is in great shape aside from a few light scratches here and there and a small nick in the top right corner on the back(see photos) The armrests are made of solid walnut and are also in great shape aside from a couple of dings. The left armrest also has a faint ring in it. The steel frame is in beautiful condition and features nicely brazed welds. Solid as ever. For auction is one vintage. 1960s-era All Steel Equipment metal swivel chair in fantastic original condition. It is painted a silvery gray color and is upholstered in green vinyl. The upholstery is in perfect condition; not a stitch out of place and free rips, nicks or stains. There is one faint scratch on the back of the back pad, which you can see in the photos. The beautiful, curved base features black plastic protector plates on the ends, and the armrests are made of the same black plastic. The metal parts are free of dings and dents, and the paint is in excellent condition overall, though there are small scuffs and scratches common to use. Much less than one would expect on a chair this age, however. Vintage Eames Soft Pad office chair- Herman Miller
The soft pad chair is an American classic. Equally at home at an office desk or pulled up to a dining room table. It is a versatile icon of modern design. This chair is stamped 1989 on underside. Fantastic streamline steno desk chair from one of the better American chair makers Sturgis. The ads I have seen for this model are from 1953 but I found the design patent for the base dated 1941. Swivels. Rolls on casters, adjusts in height and has a tilt seat function with variable tension. This has the chunkiest metal rolling base of any office chair that I know of. Chair base is formed of welded steel as is the frame which is stripped bare waxed steel in nearly all exposed places and shows the brass welds. Base has chrome or stainless steel accent trim. Original upholstery is a very dark green- nearly black with black piping on the seat. Sturdy item that does everything it is supposed to. More rare than Shaw Walker or Steelcase secretary chairs or goodform by General Fireproofing. Would go nicely with a bare metal simmons desk.
