For sale is one vintage Remington Rand secretarial swivel chair from the 1930s. It is in excellent original condition. This Remington Rand chair features the early"leaf spring" steel base design of this type of chair. Before Goodform would make famous with a redesigned aluminum base. The backrest and metal plate behind the back cushion are aluminum, but they are painted the same gray color as the rest of the chair. The perforated vinyl cushions are in excellent original condition also; the seat has very minor wear on the front left corner, and the backrest has one rather noticeable spot of wear at the very top edge(pictured) All mechanical adjustments function properly. Seat height adjusts from 16"21" This chair also has its original casters, and, while they swivel properly and the bearings are good, the wheels are rather ... morechewed up. It still rolls fine, but you might want to find replacement wheels for the casters. Fortunately, they are made to be removed, as the axle is attached with a nut. A fine early example of a chair that would soon become a staple of the industry. And one that would look perfect in any vintage industrial or steampunk interior. Vintage Industrial Hamilton Cosco Swiveling Mid Century Office Chair Machine Age
This is a vintage Cosco office chair. It has great bones and a lot of potential for someone who knows how to touch things up. Chair adjusts at head rest. Seat front to back and seat height. It rolls great. It is upholstered in a perforated vinyl so there is no cushion dust escaping from the top vents here. It does have wear to the metal(aluminum? base with chrome accents(scratches and surface rust) but the vinyl on the seat looks good. The metal may be touched up with spray paint if desired and the upholstery also can be replaced if desired. This is an early Cosco office chair that says Patent Applied For and also has an acoustic sound board in it. It is Model 25S. I am not sure of its date. All mechanical aspects still work great, and it has very few cosmetic blemishes. Vtg All Steel ASE Industrial Metal Office Swivel Desk Chair Mid Century Modern
For auction is one stellar vintage All Steel Equipment(ASE) swivel armchair from the 1960's. This is one of my favorite desk chair designs from this era; the blend of industrial ruggedness and mod swagger is just perfect. Look at those lines. People! The angles of the arms and backrest, the tapered 4-prong base, the hooded casters.and that big black plastic ball on the tension adjustment lever underneath is like the period at the end of a beautifully written sentence. The upholstery is all original and in excellent condition. Though the foam seems to have deteriorated somewhat in front. It looks like it would be easy to have the foam replaced without sacrificing the upholstery, though. It would be a shame to get rid of the original vinyl and fabric blend, though, especially when the only flaw in the upholstery is just a little bit of ... morerubbing on the top rear edge of the backrest(pictured) The metal has been cleaned and polished. And the casters have been relubricated. There is a small amount of pitting on a couple of small areas on the 4-prong base(pictured) but otherwise the frame is rust-free and looks to be finished in brushed nickel plate. Vintage Alma Desk Co. Chair I picked up this Neat Alma Desk Co Vintage Office Chair at an estate sale outside of Washington. DC. This vintage office chair is in good condition and has green vinyl material on the back seat and sides of chair cushion. I believe that the material on the cushion is cotton. There is one small nic in the vinyl. A missing black piece on the bottom where the wheels are and a few light orange spots on the cushion that I have not tried to remove. There are a couple of imperfections on the wood that is apart of normal wear. Since this item is large. Vintage Okamura Mid-Century Modern Secretary Sewing Office Desk Task Chair. Gray Product Details: Because I had to remove thread from the casters. I think this chair was last used for sewing, perhaps in a mill somewhere. 15-1/2" wide x 19" deep x 32-1/4" high overall 18-1/2" high as it sits now. I was able to adjust it up. But when I sat on it it slipped back down. I think it was because I didn't tighten the set screw enough, but in case I'm wrong, I would add a collar or spacer to keep it at ... morethe height you want it. Decent condition. The padding doesn't have any rips or tears. There are some little tiny spots that look like white-out splatter or paint on the seat along with other cosmetic marks. There is a very small almost pinhole sized nic to the front of the seat that looks like one of those little spots. The metal parts have scratches and wear to the finish in several places as shown. All this is very normal for chairs of this age. I removed thread that was wrapped around the caster wheel hubs and oiled the chair and it now swivels and rolls around easily. Please see the pictures for more details. This chair has been partially dismantled for compact shipment. Offered for auction is this beautiful walnut Renaissance Revival Victorian substyle large Office Arm Chair with caned seat and back. Original excellent finish. Wonderful turned down hand grips on arms and thick legs, stiles and rails for extra support and comfort. The caning has pulled away from the seat right in the middle of the front but I use a pad and this works just fine. I'd ask a lot more for the chair if the caning were perfect. 43" tall, 18" wide at seat front, 19 1/2" deep, 18 1/2" seat height. Just what you need for that big antique desk you have at home. This lovely oak swivel office chair may be an early Heywood Bros& Wakefield Co(Heywood-Wakefield) but it bears no tag or marking. We have seen photos of similar chairs that date 1880s-1920s but cannot verify the age of this chair. The seat and back are drilled for caning. The cane is gone and the seat and backrest have been reupholstered with dark brown horse hide. The chair is ready for use. Or could be recaned. The wood in this chair is beautiful. The cast iron swivel and adjustable height mechanisms are in very good working order. The seat adjusts from 18.5" high from the floor to 22" when the swivel is half way up.
