Was the descendant of the renowned Heintz Arts Metal Shops produced lighting, desk accessories, vases and other forms in solid bronze under what was called the"Silvercrest" line. The work of the Heintz Art Metal Shops as well as that of the Smith Metal Arts Company are highly sought after by collectors. Arts and Crafts Smith Metal Arts Lamps are uncommon, to say the least. This one is circa 1919, and is just exquisite in condition, form and construction. Raised bronze decorative designs highlight the shade, as does the beaded bronze banding at the shades edge. Similar beautiful raised accents encircle the pen holders at the base. Solid bronze main shaft truncates with a superb curl at its crest. I purchased this many years ago for ... moremy own collection because of the beauty and intricacy of the form as well as the heavy and superb construction quality. And then proceeded to invest a well-spent but considerable sum having it completely restored by the now renowned and collected Michael Adams of Aurora Studios. This has had the patina completely redone by Michael, and has been entirely rewired with reproduction silk wrapped cord. the reflective pearlized paint to the interior of the shade was also restored by Adams. The wax jack measures 5 ¼ inches or 13 cm high. And is 4 inches wide at the base. The wax jack has a rectangular base with a bas relief edge and shell designs on the corners. The central spindle has a very long wax taper coiled about it like a rope with its lighted end held in a socket and used to melt sealing wax. On the side of the spindle is a cone shape snuffer on chain. It is marked on the bottom“EXETER” with a crown above it and three fancy initials below it. The wax jack is in very good condition. A beautiful 1/4 sawn Tiger Oak Desk. what they used to call a"Partner's Desk" because it isn't the massive that the boss had. The top is about 30" deep and 50" wide. A Stunning Civil War Era Inlaid English Writing Lap Desk With Keys. It measures 20 Inches Long By 10 Inches Wide and 7 inches deep. It has a secret panel that hide three little drawers. Silver mounted gourd. Possibly South American, the pod. Applied with a wide lip chased with leaves. On an openwork four-legged. Stand stamped with laurel leaves. Measurements: Height: 4 inches. Width: 5 inches, Depth: 3 inches. Date: 19th century. Additional Comments: Exotic seed pod with very striking. Markings that fit in well with the object that has been created; perhaps for wood lighting spills or as a desk. Tidy. Beautiful Escritoire. This one is a campaign desk which breaks into two major parts. And it is light for transport. However it is well made. It has 6 obvious drawers and 7 hidden compartments(2 of which we didn't find for a year) It has been on display in my house for 40 years. It has a perfect leather top, some marquetry. It is mint except two of the hidden drawers have small age cracks. It is oiled yearly, but it has never been refinished. Local pickup is also offered for free.

Very nice. 1950s, Mid Century desk. The desk is three pieces and includes the large desk top/work area, chrome side leg and 3 drawer file cabinet. The unit is laminate covered with chrome trim and side leg. The laminate has a granite look and is brown with flecks of tan/gold. The desk is not laminate covered on the file cabinet exterior side and is designed to fit against a wall. This is a very nice, Retro Modern" desk. It is in very good condition with some minor cosmetic aging. The chrome has some age spots. The laminate top has a few minor scratches and a couple of small discolored areas. There is a small piece of missing laminate inside the file cabinet section(see picture 10) It has been painted with a textured paint and is fairly invisible. This is a stunning rare antique solid bronze desk hydrometer and thermometer made in West Germany. It has three dials in total which are all under domed shaped glass and are set into the very thick heavy bronze stand. it is set on a slight angle and has a wonderful patina from age. the one on the right is the thermometer. On the left is the normal hydrometer, and the middle is the advanced hydrometer. the piece does work nicely and measures 8 1/4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall.
