MID-CENTURY STEAMPUNK VTG. ADJUSTABLE DESK-DRAFTING-SEWING TENSOR TABLE LAMP 33"
Offered is a large. Very well-made, working desk/drafting lamp in good condition. The lamp has both a Mid-Century and Steampunk look about it, but I've been using it in my semi-Victorian living room and it fits in very nicely with that style too. The reason that I've said the lamp is in"good" condition vs. very good" condition is because the metal base and shade do have some rust. However, it really doesn't detract at all from the look of the lamp. If you prefer no signs of age, the rust can be removed easily with Marine Jelly or any number of inexpensive rust removers sold today. I left the lamp as is for the buyer to decide. Also, the rust is not nearly as pronounced as it appears in my images. This is a very handsome, strong, stable and versatile lamp! When fully extended to straight up and down. The lamp measures ... more33-inches tall. The base is 7-inches wide and the whole thing, unpacked, weighs about 6.5 lbs. Like I said, it's high quality! The base and shade are in a brushed silver or nickel finish. There is black felt on the underside of the base. The lamp's arms are wood in a red mahogany stain. They could very well be mahogany wood, but I am uncertain. Although the arm sections appear to be in two different shades of color in my photos, it is an illusion caused by the wood grain. The position of the lamp is adjusted by turning and setting the knobs. This lamp is fully adjustable and is perfect for reading. Sewing, drawing, doing crafts, working on projects, etc. It takes a standard 60 watt bulb. All electrical parts- the power cord, switch, socket and wiring- are in excellent condition. Vintage Hamilton Industries. 60's, desk/task light; working condition, both high and low settings. Chrome and pumpkin spice color plastic. Telescoping arm extends over 10 inches and swivels 360 degrees. There are some scuffs on the plastic housing in various areas, please review photos. Chrome ring on bulb housing looks very good; chrome ring on base of unit has a dent, visible in photos. The white reflector housing has a couple of scratches. The'HI-OFF-LOW' cover has scratches and needs to be reglued as it is lifting around the edges, but is still firmly attached. Cord appears much more yellowed in photos than real life. Base has scratches and some surface imperfections and measures about 4" x 4" Bottom of base was perhaps doodled on and has remains of black marker. Many scratches on bottom, as visible in photos. ANTIQUE DESK LAMP SPELTER METAL CHARIOT AND HORSES
Please note that handling time for this item is about a week after payment clears. Antique desk lamp. From bottom to top it stands 22 5/8 INCHES TALL. The base is 12 inches long. And 6 1/2 inches wide. I'm not sure of its exact age or any of its history. I purchased it at an antique store in 1996 or'97. It's in descent shape. The main problem is that three of the front hooves of the horses are broken off and missing. The shade. Which is metal, has come off and needs to be soldered back onto its spokes. As you can see in the photo, the lamp can rotate on its base, so it needs to be glued to the base again. Other than that there are the scratches and chipped paint you can see in the photos. A mouse took one small shallow bite off the rubber surface of the cord(it doesn't go down to the wire) And a small tear in the felt under ... morethe base. Bulbs have been tested and the lamp works. I believe it's made out of spelter metal. The shade is metal. And the base is wood. It accepts standard size household bulbs. And it works.
