Terra-Cotta Earthenware Chimney Table Desk Lamp with metal stand
This is a cute southwest lamp. It is terra-cotta. Please check out pictures. At the top of the lamp where the black part is it is chipped and some broke, but the cover that screws over it is in good condition. There is the little light in the bottom and it flickers like fire and it takes regular bulb in the top. You can have just the bottom or both. The lamp is about 8" and 12" to the top of light socket, and it is about 5" wide. All you need is a lamp shade and you are ready to go.It might need a little cleaning I do not do that I don't know what to use on terra-cotta. Steel Tanker desks were originally manufactured in the 1940s and 1950s. These desks are exceptional sturdy(sometimes described as indestructible) and often used by the military. Police stations and manufacturing/industrial plants. This particular desk was used at Baker Canning Company in Theresa. WI and then by a small farm-equipment business after the canning operation closed in the 1970s. Tanker desks are typically a basic two-pedestal design. As is the case with this desk. There are two depression on the top towards the center rear. There is very light wear otherwise. I think its great and displays very well. You may want to replace the lock so you can lock the cabinet and hold the door shut tight. The drawers and tray all slide out nicely and are in good condition. The desk is 40" long. 18" deep and 29" tall. The cabinet is 11 1/2" wide inside. With two adjustable shelves. The drawers are 9" wide inside and 3 3/8" tall. The knee space is 17 3/4" wide. This vintage metal typewriter stand features distinctively shaped legs and angled drop leaves on both sides. From the floor to the table top is about 27" Which leaves you about 24" of knee space under the table. The center panel of the table top is about 13¾" deep and 23" wide at the back, tapering to 15" at the front. The leaves each measure about 8¾" x 14" which gives a total table width of 39" at the back when the leaves are extended. The width between the two front legs- which also defines your knee space- is about 13½" It has that 1940's industrial age look to it. And there are areas of rust peeping through the white paint, but it is otherwise in sturdy and solid condition, maybe in need of a few drops of oil on the leaf hinges and casters. Antique Child's Miniature School Desk, Wood & Cast Iron Metal Kindergarten Size
I found this miniature child's school desk while cleaning out an old farm homestead. This desk is very small 20" tall. 17.5" long and 12.5" wide. There is a pencil groove in the top. It is wood and cast iron construction. Definitely an old one and its condition is commensurate with the age. Just as I found it, the paint is worn and missing, the metal is rusty and pitted. The bottom of the legs appear to be missing some type of foot perhaps and one leg is slightly shorter. The wood has NO rot issues. A ring on the base of the coach is where a chain attaches by spring ring that leads to a goldtone/blue mechanical pencil(found with it) There is a partial decal in gold and black that indicates it may have been a souvenir from somewhere in N.Y.
