This is a beautiful antique B.L. Marble chair company desk/bankers chair. It is in really nice shape it has a few mark as you can see from the pictures. The seat has one crack and u you can see the age and some marks around the screws. But it still looks great. It is really comfortable too and very sturdy. As you can see from the pictures it has really awesome cast iron hard ware under the seat, there is a knob that's unique looking, it does turn it is hard to turn it though. I can not figure out how to move the seat up and down though I'm not sure if that's working properly or not. It does come apart and the canisters come off as well. It has the B.L. For your consideration. I have a vintage Precision Metal Workers metal stacking desk file. This has a steel rod going through each corner to hold them all together. It is 17-3/4" tall and inside dimensions of each tray is 10" x 12-1/2" This is in good condition with just a couple spots with surface rust on the back side. I removed some of the marker marks but more could probably be removed with a little elbow grease. This file is very sturdy! Eight early Victorian metal desk pulls removed from an old desk dating back to the 1930’s. Unfortunately desk was not salvageable but almost all of the hardware was. Pulls have a very nice Victorian design(similar to Fleur-De-Lis) with a nice old patina finish. All pulls are in good condition and still have the original screws and handles. The return has three drawers. The drawer edges are worn. There is a small chip on the Formica top, some rust spots in various places. The drawers on the return have rust spots, some scratches on Formica. Screws to attach the return are missing. This would be ideal for a basement office, construction job site, mechanics shop. The original pattern of this British(English! aircraft desk model"CHILTON DW-1" was a light single seat monoplane. Made of wood– introduced and first piloted in 1937 at Whitney Aerodrome, Oxfordshire. The ingenious shape of the CHILTON DW-1 was created and designed by Andrew Dalrymple and Reggie Ward subsequently to their intensive studying at De Havilland Aircraft Company.
