ANTIQUE DESK LAMP SPELTER METAL CHARIOT AND HORSES
Please note that handling time for this item is about a week after payment clears. Antique desk lamp. From bottom to top it stands 22 5/8 INCHES TALL. The base is 12 inches long. And 6 1/2 inches wide. I'm not sure of its exact age or any of its history. I purchased it at an antique store in 1996 or'97. It's in descent shape. The main problem is that three of the front hooves of the horses are broken off and missing. The shade. Which is metal, has come off and needs to be soldered back onto its spokes. As you can see in the photo, the lamp can rotate on its base, so it needs to be glued to the base again. Other than that there are the scratches and chipped paint you can see in the photos. A mouse took one small shallow bite off the rubber surface of the cord(it doesn't go down to the wire) And a small tear in the felt under ... morethe base. Bulbs have been tested and the lamp works. I believe it's made out of spelter metal. The shade is metal. And the base is wood. It accepts standard size household bulbs. And it works. Vintage Bruce Fox flying duck desk notepad holder signed w/metal tag
This is an original Bruce Fox hand worked. Hand finished wrought metal desk top item. I think it probably is a holder for a notepad or memo pad, maybe the kind that had perforated tear off sheets so the spine area would remain the same thickness and fit snugly into the notched area. I don't see any other way it would hold the pad. It is an aluminum flat plate with heavy cast rectangular top with a nice relief cast flying duck of some type. Not sure if a Mallard or what. Bruce Fox inscribed signature in upper left of dark green background area. The back has both the round brass or brass colored metal tag that says Bruce Fox Hand Finished Wrought Metals and original paper label that reads: Bruce Fox Hand Worked. Has little green felt pads at corners. The only thing not original are the round green felt pads on the bottom. The original tan ... morecolored felt pads were pretty worn off and not doing any good so I just cleaned the residue off and stuck these on temporarily. They are not quite the same size as originals(slightly larger) and you could easily replace them with whatever type bumper pad you would like if you don't like these. The shiny aluminum surface of the pad base has some typical light surface scuffs and light usage scratches as you would expect but nothing serious and overall in good condition and displays nicely. The light scuffing on top side of base would be covered when a pad is on it and you wouldn't see the bottom normally. The total dimensions are approx. 3-1/4 x 7-1/2. The edges of the aluminum show the milling or hand machine or filing marks typical of his work. TERMS OF SALE- PLEASE READ ALL CAREFULLY- It is all important and will save problems later. Map Globe Metal Desk Top Size Vintage
This auction is for a Map Globe sized for the desk top or shelf. It is made of metal. I have no idea of its age. But I suspect sometime during the 1940's because that is when we were in school. The base has the signs, like Libra, Aries, etc. The arc holding the globe to the base is plastic, and has segments(degrees? from 0 in the center to 90 at the top and bottom. There is a maker's stamp"Ohio Art Byron, Ohio" stamped on the side. it has the continents divided into countries. Also are a series of red dotted lines indicting the tracks of something, but I don't know what. There is only one small dent over the eastern tip of the soviet Union and one on the equator at the international date line. I think this globe is still in very good condition. Antique Children's Metal Desk/Tabletop
My ABC's This is an old. Children's activities or school desk top. I'm guessing the vintage is 1940's or earlier. I'm pretty sure this is enamel, but it may be porcelain. The letters of the alphabet float over artwork of a ring circus performance. The ringleader is named Jack, and three of the big cats are named Rajah, Mike and Mary. A seal on a drum sits over the numbers 1 to 10. Really sweet illustrations of children at play decorate each of the desk's four corners. The size is 24" wide x 20.25" high x 1" thick. The condition is"aged" with obvious children's use. There are chips, scratches and some rusting. This is a sturdy item weighing in at almost 10 lbs. This would be a unique display item in a kid's activities room, or maybe a pre-school or child care center. Good luck bidding!

For auction is one vintage. 1960s-era All Steel Equipment metal swivel chair in fantastic original condition. It is painted a silvery gray color and is upholstered in green vinyl. The upholstery is in perfect condition; not a stitch out of place and free rips, nicks or stains. There is one faint scratch on the back of the back pad, which you can see in the photos. The beautiful, curved base features black plastic protector plates on the ends, and the armrests are made of the same black plastic. The metal parts are free of dings and dents, and the paint is in excellent condition overall, though there are small scuffs and scratches common to use. Much less than one would expect on a chair this age, however. The majority of the scratches are confined to the area where the armrests attach to the backrest(see photos) All mechanical features function ... moreproperly.
