Unusual and sweet antique pressed glass. Brass and weighted(plaster? bottom pin tray or bowl. Might have been part of a fancy desk set too but I think more likely a jewelry container for a ladies dresser. NO DAMAGE to the glass but there are some faults of lines in the flat surface that were part of the manufacturing process which just gives it more character as part of it's age. No chips. No cracks, no repairs seen. No markings found. Brass is unpolished and has a few mild areas of tarnish. I have not cleaned or polished this. I don't see anything that should not polish up nicely if that is what the new owner would like to do. Heavy at 1.13 pounds unpacked weight. Each inkwell is approximately 1 3/4 inches or 46 mm across the length of its body from side to side by 1 1/2 inches or 39 mm across the width of its body from back to front and the inkstand with its inkwells in place stands approximately 3 inches or 77 mm tall to the tops of the finials on the inkwells lids when they are in place. Vintage Retro Vanity Desk Electric Lamp Light Crystal Glass with Long Dangles *
This listing is for a very old retro or vintage small vanity style electric lamp with crystal glass dangles hanging down. They hang about 4 and 3/4 inches long and the lamp stands about 10 inches high as pictured. When you put a bulb and shade on it the height would go up of course. This lamp is adorable. It comes without a bulb or a lamp shade or globe. It comes as pictured. The cord is the old style. Probably from the 1940's or 1950's, and I would suggest having it changed to modern codes to make it safer but it does work as is. The glass on the base of the lamp is heavy and reminds me of ice blocks. The metal between the glass has rust and probably needs to be painted to make it shiney again. Some of the dangles have very small chips or nicks in them. Probably from rubbing against each other over the years. The very tips of some ... moreof them are worn off but you have to feel them to tell they have these minor issues. You cannot really see any of these places. I do have a matching lamp that I will put on later. These are just too heavy to try to ship together so I am going to sell them seperately.

Up for bid is an Antique Barrel type ink bottle from the 1920's era that comes in a nice light green color. It was made in a semi-automatic bottle machine(ABM) and it stands 2-3/4" tall. Embossed on the side; HIGGINS' N.Y. and the back side has; 2 OZ. It is in sparkling original condition with no chips. Cracks, stains or wear, there is a pin head nick on the bottom edge. Purchase this desk about 20 years ago. I am not sure how old it is if I guessed I would think maybe the 1920's or 30's but I really don't know. It was refinished years ago. Has stain in some of the drawers. Finish isn't in bad shape needs some polishing and clean up. A few of the drawers are swollen. Will probably be okay if it is stored in a heated area. It is in a dry but cold garage at this point. A few of the slides need to be realigned and fastened down. I think it is Maghony and it has burled veneer flame front drawers. The center handles are lion heads. some of the carving is off but I may have some of the pieces. Has a custom made plate glass top. PICK UP ONLY/ NO SHIPMENT OR DELIVERY. Sir(Sydney) Gordon Russell(1892-1982) was one of the most important figures in the history of 20th century furniture. From his early Cotswold Arts and Crafts furniture. To the modernist antique desks of the post-war period, he managed to embrace mass production and mechanization without losing the underlying concepts of high quality craftsmanship. The history of his antique cabinets, tables, chairs and concept furniture can be tracked at the Gordon Russell Museum, housed in his original workshop premises in Worcestershire. In 1923 Russell expanded the business and invested in modern machinery. His aim was to combine Arts and Crafts workmanship with ... moremass-production to produce high quality furniture affordable to everyone. This ranged from homely dining tables to elaborate antique marquetry furniture. Such as the 1925 print cabinet now residing in the Cheltenham Museum. In 1938 Russell set up the Good Furnishing Group. The box had a key that is missing; the top unfolds and has a red velvet cover allowing the user to write easily. Dimensions: Each: 4" High. 2-1/2" Wide, 2-1/2" Deep. Total Weight: 2 lbs. 4 oz. Condition: Both have some surface scratches. Mostly to underside due to shelf wear. Victorian Cobalt Blue Glass Ink Well Geometric Pattern For Desk Use
This vintage item dates to the 1880's and is the cobalt blue colored glass ink well. This is the desk use model. It has the flat bottom, and the sides that it can rest sideways, at an angle or anyway you choose. This is not an easy item to find, they were not mass produced like today. This has the gound flat top edge, but I would think that it did originally have some type of collar or lid/cover and this is missing.
