Vintage Mid Century Modern Etched Frosted Glass Student Banker Desk Lamp Light
Beautiful vintage etched and frosted glass banker's/student desk lamp. This is a great piece that's in wonderful vintage condition. Free from any chips or cracks. It's made to reflect the Art Deco/Nouveau era, but it's obvious that it's a reproduction that was made some time later probably in the 60's or 70's. It's tested and working, as you can see in the pictures. The light bulb won't be included when shipped. It's got beautiful flowers etched on the shade. Please examine the pictures closely. It measures about 14 1/2" high by 9 5/8" wide across the shade. The base is 7 7/8" wide across. I believe that it's pressed steel with a cast iron insert. Great piece to display in your home office! Simply tap it back into the base and away it goes. It has an"On" Off" switch and red button for the chime but we have been unable to get the chime to work. Does keep perfect time& is so lovely to look at. The wood cabinet is smooth to touch and gleams in the light as the pendulum goes round and round. And that it was supposed to have a clock sitting inside the center of it. It looked great and I thought maybe it was a paperweight or that a lighter was supposed to go in the round cavity at the center. It measures 4 1/2" in diameter. Is slanted and 6-sided; measures 2 1/2" tall on the highest side and 1 1/2" tall on the shortest side. The round opening in the top now has a quartz clock with gold metal trim that has a diameter of 2 1/4" The clock weighs about 1 1/2 pounds and would make an excellent paperweight. It would also look nice on a vanity or bedtoom dresser.The clock operates on a 1.5 volt battery(NOT INCLUDED) and keeps perfect time. Seiko Carriage Mantel Clock This is an elegant Carriage-type Mantel clock made by the reliable timepiece company Seiko. Made of brass and glass. This clock is a nice size for a mantel or a shelf. It stands 10.5" tall to the top of the handle. And is 8" wide and over 3" deep. Double-walled glass encloses the clock face. This clock runs on one Double A battery. I just put a new one in to test it and will enclose it when packing. It works just fine. The clock is very clean and shows little signs of use. There is a nick on the very top shelf of the clock. Pair Of Fratelli Toso Murano Glass Millifiori Desk Lamps Mid Century Opalescent
Hand made Murano glass lamps from Fratelli Toso. I bought these separately in Italy and you can tell because one is different on the top and has a candle style bulb holder and the other is a typical Italian plastic one. They still have the Italian electrical. You just have to change the end or put an adaptor on. I don't have the shades. I do have one with a shade but its a different color. It looks a bit like a mushroom cap! Sold as it. The glass is gorgeous and perfection. No flaws. The white part is opalescent and the larger millefiori dots are typical of what they did mid-century. Vintage Antique Wooden and Cast Iron Student’s School Desk with Glass Inkwell
This is a sweet antique school desk is in good condition. I bought it about 30 years ago at an antique store in Ft. Worth. Tx. and refinished it. The wood is probably pine. The desk has been kept on display indoors since its purchase. If you are familiar with these desks. The kid in the seat behind actually uses this desk. These were a little before my time, but that appears to be how they worked. When the seat is down. The desk is about 30 inches in depth, 21 inches wide, and 25 inches tall. The dimensions of the top of the desk are about 20 ½ wide by 13 ½ deep. There is an indention for a pencil and a wooden‘cubby’ for papers and books. The seat in the front and flips down for seating and up if not needed. It also has a clear glass inkwell for‘real’ ink– no ball points yet. The sides are made of heavy black cast iron and have ... morethe number 4 embossed on each side. The feet have holes for screwing the desk into the wooden school house floor. There are some small gouges on the edge of the desk(could have been a pocket knife) And some stains(probably ink) You know how kids are! Vintage Desk Calendar Advertises Service Glass Co. Evansville IN 1948-1952
Up for bid is a vintage desk calendar and bills/envelopes holder that advertises Service Glass Company in Evansville. Indiana. This item is made of metal and hard plastic. It is in very good condition overall(see photos) but the lower right corner on the back side is broken. The calendar can be adjusted to conform to the proper day and month. A chart on the bottom is dated 1948 through 1952. This item is 2 5/8 inches tall; the base is 3 by 5 3/8. See my listings for other vintage items.
