It has a superb stepped design and an inlaid base. The skyscraper look is typical of the era. The lamp is made from Camphor wood and has a lovely colour to it. The lamp comes complete with an original glass shade which has give a beautiful warm glow when lit. The lamp is in working order but does retain items original Bakelite bulb holder and wiring. As with any vintage or antique electrical we woudl recommend that this is upgraded. Early vintage desk lamp mother of pearl glass shade
This is a vintage desk lamp from the early/mid 1900"s. Its in very nice shape. The lamp is brass or brass plated. And stands at about 12 inches in height The shade is made of glass and is a whitish yellowish mother of pearl color. There is a base underneath the glass shade with glass cut crystals. The base is about 4 1/2 inches in width. On the base is is a turn switch that turns the lamp on an off. The lamp is in very nice condition for its age and it works. The cord is in rough shape. Lot of 12 Antique School Desk Ink Wells Dips with the Original Carrying Case. Very nice lot of antique ink wells for use in children's school desks. The desks would have had a small opening carved into the top that these wells would fit down into. The teacher used the wooden container to distribute the wells to the children at the beginning of the day and collect them when school was over. The ink wells are in very good condition. No chips or cracks. Some of the lids/glass wells have markings, some don't. They have corked lids, some which come off easily, others don't. I am not going to force them off. Dried Ink still remains in some containers. Each ink well measures 1 3/4" tall and 2" in diameter across the lid. The glass portion is appx. 1 3/8" diameter x 1 1/2" deep. The green globe is white on the inside and the globe is approximately 6 1/4" round in diameter and about 3 1/4" thick. There are not any markings on the lamp except the name of"Hubbell" is on the socket. It has a nice long cord but the plug is old with some tape on it so I would recommend replacing it before using. Mid-Century Modern Desk Inkwell Sarreid Made In Spain Glass, Solid Brass, Wood
This is a very large Mid-Century Modern Desk Inkwell set with a glass ink container with a solid brass sit on lid. Solid brass pyramid style inkwell and a solid distressed wood base. The wood is dark and heavy and looks like wormy chestnut in appearance. It is marked Sarreid, ltd. Made in Spain on the bottom. The Sarreid is a paper sticker and Made in Spain is burned into the wood. It measures about 6" tall, 8 3/4" wide, and the wood base is 1 1/2" thick. The bottle is 3" wide and 4" Tall. The pyramid is 5 1/2" X 2 3/4" There is an indention in the wood for the bottle to sit in and indentions around the wood base for pens and pencils. The wood base is hand carved. This is a very nice one. The set weighs 4.8 lbs.

This is an antique dual inkwell set. This shows wear and some brakes but overall is in good condition. The metal frame is very ornate and decorative but note the following age wear. The upper panel on the left side has broken off as have both of the letter holder pieces on the sides. The center is still intact as is the left side and I suppose an artisian could reproduce the broken pieces and restore back the way it was. If not it's still decorative the way it is and looks good when viewed from the front or right side. Up for bid is a neat old office desk item for moistening envelopes or stamps. It was patented Jan. 31.05 making it over 109 years old.The glass is really heavy. It would make a nice paperweight or at the least a nice desk top conversation piece. The metal on top has some light tarnishing and it still has the wooden wheel with the cloth strip around it.It is 4" long by 2 1/2" wide and is 2" high.
