The seat is excellent with no issues. The chrome has very little surface oxidation here and there. Could be rubbed out or left as is. I prefer the little bit of oxidation. For sale is a heavy metal vintage eames era industrial drafting chair/ stool. The chair as pictured measures about 32 inches high to top of back rest and about 13 inches wide(width of seat) However on a chair like this there are three ways you can adjust the dimensions of the chair. First the back of chair can be moved up and down by adjusting the screw on the back and sliding it up or down. Then tightening the screw again. The heighth of the stool section is about 18 inches high as pictured. The height of the legs can be adjusted also to get an additional 4 inches of heighth by unscrewing the screw and replacing it in the slot you want it to be. The back rest can also be adjusted in and out by unscrewing wing nut on bottom and sliding it in or out to level of comfort and then tightening wing nut. Great early solid oak drafting style adjustable stool. Oak is in nice shape with original finish. Has bentwood foot rest ring. Adjustable height mechanism is all cast/steel and works fine. The mech mounting hardware appears to have been replaced. This is a nice sturdy rare stool that's ready to use. Has some paint marks on it(think an artist had been using it for a long time) Either leave as it or remove the paint. I think it adds to the character since there is not a lot on it. Apparently manufactured in the 1st quarter of 1960, as it is marked"1Q60" on top of the base and on the underneath of the seat, The padded vinyl? covering on the seat and tiltable backrest are in excellent condition with no rips or tears, save a 1/8" long puncture to the seat's right front corner area and a 1/4" surface shave that appears did not go through on the other front corner. The casters(wheels) swivel and has some rust that should clean up/off fairly well. The height of the chair seat is adjustable from about 27" up to about 32" The foot rest/ring on the base has an outside diameter of about 18 3/8" and is 12 1/4" up from the floor. V ery well built. Clean condition with some surface scratches and expected wear. No veneer peeling or cracking. The base metal and grey paint is original and shows wear and some paint loss. The metal glides are good and intact. Seat height adjustment and backrest adjustment mechanisms are functional. Seat height at front edge adjusts from 15 1/2" up to approximately 19" We've given this a light cleaning but some detail cleaning would really make it sharp. Here we have a great Machine Age industrial stool. This stool has a great look with two foot rests. One above the other. The stool seat adjusts as high as about 31 1/2 inches tall and as low as about 26 inches. The seat is about 14 inches in diameter and the lower foot rest is about 18 1/2 inches in diameter. As always this item can be picked up locally for free to save on the shipping cost. Original Sikes chair made of a heavy strong durable wood(possibly oak) With cast iron gears to raise or lower the chair. It has a chrome steel ring foot rest that has rust(see photos) The green paint is coming off all over as you can see in the photos. Early chairs used ball bearing foot pads on the better made furniture as they did on this chair. This is truly a great piece of furniture which can be used comfortably by an artist, draftsman, architect, printer, jeweler, etc. You can use the chair as it is or refinish it. An amazing drafting stool made by Johnson Chair co Early 1900s. Wood& cast iron chair. This is a nice solid chair! Wood is in good shape and the cast iron is as well. There has been some repair to the seat of the chair as seen in photos. The repairs look to be very old. This is in as is condition as I found it. All I have done is wipe the dust off. The top of seat does come off and on but it is a sturdy seat to use for every day work. This stool can adjust and get a lot higher. The lid of the seat comes off and the other two examples of this stool I've seen do the same thing. The screw you see in the 5th photo is holding a riveted part in the spiral shaft. Once you let the tension off by loosening the screw you are able to adjust the height of the seat. Once you get it to the height you like you just pop the seat right onto the shaft ... moreand it is good to go! very sturdy seat and very easy to adjust. The chair seat swivels and the chair is also fully adjustable. The seat adjusts from 21 inches to 26 inches(shown in photo at 26 inches) The chair back adjusts by 3 inches from 11 inches tall to 14 inches tall and also adjusts front to back. The chair at its highest is 37 inches tall from the floor to the top of the chair back. The distance between the feet is approximately 15 1/2 inches and the diameter of the foot rest is 17 inches around. Chair is sturdy and weighs 23 lbs without the box. Vintage Industrial All Metal Iron Shop Drafting Garage Stool Chair Steampunk
Here is a really nice looking old vintage all metal work stool. This is all iron(fully magnetic) and very durable and sturdy. I do not see any manufacturer information on the stool. The seat sits quite high. About 28 1/4" from the ground, and the top of the back is about 41" from the ground. This looks like one of the lowest height settings and is adjustable, although this is a great height for drafting, working, etc. The seat diameter is about 13 3/4" This is a very solid industrial piece with a great look. To save on shipping, I will likely take the back rest off to reduce the size of the shipping box needed.

Vintage InterRoyal Adjustable Rolling Swivel Drafting Stool Chair Padded Vinyl
Vintage InterRoyal rolling. Swivel, adjustable height office, drafting stool with removable backrest. It's in really good condition. I found a scuff on the front of the seat(see last pic) though no tears or holes or damage in the green vinyl. The metal parts are a little dusty, though still in great shape. It still rolls, swivels and adjusts perfectly. Thanks for looking.
