I am the original owner of this fax machine and it served me well in the past. I am selling this item AS IS because it has been at least 5-7 years since I have used it. And so I cannot guarantee its proper functioning. I remember having to feed one page in at a time with a multiple page faxes, because this machine always tended to pull more than one page through at a time- so that's what I would do to ensure sending of complete faxes. This is an ugly old fax machine! My boss was going to take it to the dump so I decided to try and find someone on here who might be able to make use of it. I am fairly certain it is not functional. But it doesn't have a power cord so I can't test it out. The plastic is a nasty yellow color. not sure what that's from, but when it was new it was more of an off white color. Looks like it was left out in the sun for too long, but as far as I know it's just been sitting in the back of our office for the past few years. Comes with just the fax machine itself including the phone. There's also an ink cartridge in it, but again I don't have a way to test if it's got anything in it or not. 1958 Western Union Fax Machine
This is a fax machine. Either made by or(more likely) made for Western Union in 1958. It is no longer in working condition, but is in great condition for its age. Aside from some scuffs and minor scratches and a little rust on the top, it looks good. The switch and indicator lights are still intact, the instruction panel is still perfectly legible. This is a great display piece for someone in telecommunications or advertising. A very cool piece of history. Due to its weight- about 20 lbs. this item is available for local pick up only.
