This is a great old IBM Correction Selectric III with accessories. Different font balls and extra ribbons. Also, included is the Oak stand with a drawer in the center and two collapsable sides. The typewriter needs a repair or adjustment as it keeps typing one letter. It would be easiest to transfer everything in Central Phoenix, but I'll consider shipping but am concerned it may be very expensive due to the weight and size.

This auction is for the CHOICE of 3 vintage typewriters. The larger blue one is an ADLER J5 and the small slim line is an OLYMPIA model Socialite. The Socialite is a slim line smaller. Lighter and compact. It has a little older metal body and fiberglass case. It It is an off white color with matching keys. It has a good ribbon as shown in the photos. It has nice type as seen and I repeated the numbers 3 times and it has very good repeatability. It has larger keys and they are almost the same color and style on both machines. No keys stick and it has a nice straight characters in line. It comes in a slide over case. You can have the Adler if you win the auction if you prefer that. The Adler is a little more robust and heavier machine. It has a plastic body and no case. It has a royal blue color excellent chrome and is sharp looking. It has ... morea good red& black ribbon. This is a no reserve auction for a Smith Corona Skyriter portable typewriter from the mid 20th century. I had no idea this typewriter might be either historic or collectible until I was watching TV one night and saw the actor Tom Hanks was being interviewed by either David Letterman or Jay Leno and when asked about his unusual hobby of collecting old typewriters got excited explaining how he had Smith Corona Skyriter typewriter which was the first specifically designed to be compact and light enough to fit on the fold down trays on airliners. This was all news to me. I just got this today and checked all the keys and levers and everything works exactly as it always had. I know my father bought this when he was taking some University courses back in the late'40s or early'50s. I last used it the 1980's and it was a very reliable ... moregood typewriter. It would probably still fit on an airliner tray today. The typewriter itself is in very nice condition. Of course the ink is dried out on the ribbon but I still managed to type out some faint letters. The cover snaps on over the top to turn it a compact which can be carried by the handle. The top cover is metal and unfortunately it did get scratched a fair amount. I guess USPS Parcel Select is what used to be Parcel Post. I have not done much to estimate the true packed weight and size. I might change some details there but will try to keep the cost down as much as possible. Payment is through PayPal. This typewriter was made in Italy by Olivetti. It closely resembles the ET 115 and has a computer interface with 25 pin parallel ports. It is a full size office typewriter and has many functions. You may need to acquire a user manual for the more advanced functions but the basics are self explanatory. It works great. The dust cover is not connected at one hinge and I could not figure out how to get the black plastic paper guide installed but those issues do not affect the performance(they are at most a mild inconvenience) The ribbon and correction tape seem to be good for now. You can type and display words on the LCD before they are printed out. You also have control of the pitch as well as print type(such as underline or black with white letters etc. The paper feed is electronic. Just turn the wheel 1/4 turn either direction.
