The Stand has numerous knobs for adjusting the height and angle of the table. With the wooden table tap flat, the height can be adjusted so that the work surface can be 29 1/2" at its lowest position and raised to 42" at its highest position. The table top/ work surface can rest perfectly flat or adjusted to almost a 90 degree angle. The wooden table top measures 31" x 23" and has bead board ends to keep it from warping- an early wood working technique not used much today. ANCO BILT Drafting Table Made Of Oak & Pine Excellent Condition Nice Hardware
This is an ANCO BILT antique drafting table from a Ft. Lauderdale estate. It appears to be in its original condition except for the screws which look like they were replaced with brass ones. The bottom of the table is made of oak and it is in fabulous condition with no repairs. The hardware appears to be steel that was refinished and a clear coat was applied. There is very minor rust on some of the steel parts. The top of the table is made of pine that has some color but a finish has not been applied to it. There are some small holes on the top of the table but the surface remains smooth. The table is TIGHT with no extraneous movements. This item may be picked up in Pompano Beach. FL. Antique SteamPunk Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Table w foot rest 1894 60" Top
This is not only an amazing piece of American Industrial Age history but a usable drafting table. Artists desk. The desk top is 60 inches by 39 inches and has a great catch lip so that if you tilt it for storage you can leave your pens etc. Marked patent March 6, 1894 The base is 26 inches wide. The foot rest is 43 1/2 inches by 5 inches. The foot rest is a really great feature. The height of the table is adjustable by just about eight inches. So where I have the base at 37 inches high I think it is meant to be adjust from about 32 to 40 inches which probably gives you a standard 42 inch table height. This table came to me in this formation from another artist. So if there were other accessories or mechanics I am not aware of what they may have been. Someone had also added a piece of wood well before my time to stabilize the one height clamp ... morebar. I replaced the top screws for ease of adjusting the table top. As you can see it goes from fully flat to an upright position with any angle in between. It stores upright for space saving in a studio. It has obvious signs of age and use by artists, with pin holes, paint marks etc. This is awesome for an 119 year old working artist table. It can be refinished, and the hardware replaced or used as it is. A great piece of furniture for a loft or studio space. I haven't used it in a decade and I need to downsize. ANTIQUE PEDESTAL DRAFTING TABLE. OAK AND IRON, ADJUSTABLE Nice example of this pedestal drafting table. We think it's by Dietzgen. But don't yet find a maker's mark. The original oak top remains. Which is itself hard to find these days. Looks like it was given a black limed-oak finish, which together with the black Japanned cast iron looks pretty sharp. Looks like an artist worked at this table once, there's a bit of dusky blue along the bottom edge. All together, I thought this was a nice'lived in' look for this piece while staying clean& subdued and dark, so I've left it as is, just gave it a good cleaning and waxing. These pedestal drawing tables are absolutely fab. And getting very rare and pricey it seems. They are everything this great era sought to convey; classical solidity, extremely well-crafted classic ... moreforms but with all the ingenuity combined with the cast-iron glory that characterized the Victorian Industrial furnishings. The knobs are awesome, tightens in a bunch of different ways; height up& down, with or without swiveling, tilting, flat, etc. This table is eminently flexible for all kinds of different uses. And looks great in whatever position you choose. NO RESERVE AUCTION To those of you who had bid on this auction I apologize for pulling it. I hope you have found it again. I pulled the ad because I needed to make some changes. I like to be very upfront about my items. Nothing worse than an item not being as described. Opening a new package should be exciting not frustrating. The change was is a small repair made to the table top. While moving the table one of my employees caused a crack in the wood to get worse. This caused a one inch section on the edge to become loose. I glued the piece and clamped it over night. Its as strong as ever. I left a thin layer of glue on the wood so it showed up it pics. If the buyer wants the table top saned clean I can do this before shipping it. The table is stored in a lumber warehouse and all the tools are available. You can see the streak of glue in ... morethe pics. Now. Back to the ad. Another great find from my warehouse clean out. This is an A. Hoffman Co. drafting table in good antique condition. Its 34 1/2" tall with the tabletop laid flat. Its 30 7/8" wide and 23" deep. The base is in excelent condition. It looks to be complete with all matching hardware that looks to be original. It has no dents or rust of any kind and everything moves. Turns and swivels as it should. The table top is in fair condition and is in solid condition with no broken of loose pieces. It does have some small cracks in the wood but they don't effect the structural integrity. The biggest negative I see with this table are the small holes all over the top. It looks like someone used this as a dart board. They don't go all the way through, their just little dart pricks. I will post picks of all the issues I see so please look closely at them. The top could easily be sanded to remove them but I'll leave that up to you. This has marking that say"PATDAPR26DEC201910HOFFMANS"I have this marked local pickup only but that's not entirely true. The last two digits of the serial number are 65, so it may have been made in 1965. That would make it almost 50 years old or an antique. You would have a really hard time ever finding another set in better condition than this one. It's a real collectors item. The table is located at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Antique Drafting Table An all-original cast iron and wood drawing stand/drafting table. The solid wood top measures 21¼" x 23¼" and tilts up and lies flat. With the table flat the adjustable height is from approximately 23" to 41½" above finished floor. I cannot read what the company name on the label but it was made in Chicago. Everything works well and the condition is good with minor imperfections due to age and wear with minor oxidation and usage marks in the wood. The cast iron is free from chips, breaks or repairs and has some minor paint loss.

The top of the work table has shallow scratches. Other than that, this piece is in good condition and moves freely to tilt. There are two spots on the base that seem to be where a plate or tag of some sort was attached by the manufacturer. One is circular like that used by Frederick Post company, the other is rectangular(please see photos) however I cannot find anywhere indicating the manufacturer, although the style is similar to Post tables. The original green paint is nearly all there except where you would expect to see wear on the knobs and handles. All of the hardware appears to be original and the top is a gorgeous mellow honey color that is thick cut pine. The top is by Emmert Mfg. of out of PA. I'm not sure if it is original and K& E used their tops or if it was replaced. The top measures 54 x 40.5 inches. All of the mechanics work but could use some lubrication. About 250 degrees angle and the drawing surface can be rotated 360 degrees. Comes with 2 drawing boards, the small is 18" X 24" Large is 30" X 42" Both are in good condition just need cleaned up, sanded and prepped for use. Durable construction, no breaks or damage, frame is all cast iron and steel, the feet are cast onto the ends of the legs. Bottoms of the feet have been bored out and have cork set into them to protect the floor surfaces. Vintage Oak Wood Industrial Drafting Table Desk Island Adjustable Height
Vintage oak medium size drafting table. Nice patina on wood. 2 Iron turning handles on one end. One to lock The height and the other to lock in the tilt of the tabletop. There is also a large round nut? On one leg and the other leg is missing that but has a wing nut in it's place. Adjustable Height from 32" to 40.5" and anywhere in between. Top measures 42"by 31" which is adjustable to any angle either side. Tabletop is painted top and underneath. I don't know what kind of wood that is. Sliding straightedge marked mayline mobile-D.
