Antique Cast Iron Adjustable Drafting Hospital Table Base Industrial
Up for auction is this Antique Cast iron adjustable drafting/hospital/table base industrial. The top measures 18" by 24" and has metal lips on both sides to keep items on top from sliding off they can also be adjusted down so they are even with top. Cast iron base measures 111/2" at the back and 143/4" at the front and 20 inches long. It has castors on one end that make moving it around easy. The top will adjust from 25" high to 40" high. The actual writing surface on this drafting table measures 43.5" vertically and 71.5" horizontally. You'd certainly have plenty of room to work on your plans on the table. It is adjustable to accommodate a variety of heights. Table has a tray at the bottom to hold all your pens and pencils. As you can see. It has been well used by a professional draftsman-there is some thin paint here and on the surface, but I don't it would affect any drawing on your papers. The table is in good shape with no rust. Nice Vintage K& E New York Drafting Table Table top measures 36 x 52. I think its pine wood; pine is easy to push pins into. This is how the paper was held on the table. In the middle of the back of the tabletop. Keuffel& Esser New York is embossed/branded in a circle. The cast iron is embossed with Keuffel& Esser Co. New York. the casting wasn't great because some of the letters in Esser appear to be missing. See pics. This has the patina of many years of use and stories to tell. Complete with pinholes at the corners of where paper was held. Top and footrest are original. This must have been painted over the years. But the off-white paint is starting to crackle, so its old. Mike Wolf and Frank at Antique Archaeology would say not to strip and paint this as I wanted to do. So I am leaving that up to the next owner. I did put ... morea light coat of tung oil on the tabletop so the wood wouldn't dry out. The bottom original oak footrest has a light coat of furniture oil on it. It can be used as a table as the top. Will rest completely flat and it will also rotate 90 degrees to standing vertical. It could even be a nice art display with the board at an angle. The base is solid cast iron. These were built to last hundreds of years. In the pic you will see furniture rollers on the bottom of the feet- they are not part of the auction. When this was sold in the mid to late 1800's there were options for adding side drawers and shelves. I don't have either of those. But they were an extra when this table was ordered so they arent necessarily"missing" This 230# table cost $32.00 when it was new. The middle wheel moves the tabletop up and down freely. The base lowers to about 36" height at the lowest. It can go up to about 46" or so. Some of the original screws are missing. As is the spreader bar in the back. I am looking for the pieces in my basement(or a replacement) and when I find it. I will update this listing. I have the plastic rulers for the front and the strings for them. If

This unique drafting table and chair have been in storage. Not in use for many years. Some cosmetic flaws, but is otherwise extremely sturdy and durable. They sure don't make them like this anymore. Estimating, it is probably from the'60s, possibly early'70s. Comes with drafting light attached. Last we checked, it did work. Very heavy, thick wood(oak? base with 5 lower drawers and 1 middle drawer. Drafting surface is smooth and ready for your drawings, approx. 5 feet across and 3.5 feet deep. Drafting Table - 1950s - Honey Brown Oak Wood - Vintage Drawing Table - Hamilton
This is a great Hamilton oak drafting table. It is in great condition. The top raises and lowers perfectly. It has one long drawer and one small drawer with a sliding wood box in it. There are no breaks or loose parts. It has some wear and some small areas of paint residue. It has a board in the front to keep pencils from rolling off. It has a rubbery cover on it that is in good condition. The table measures: 60" long. 38 1/2" wide and 38" high.

The top is a vintage 5 drawer map cabinet that simply rests upon it- likely from the 1950's-1970's. I purchased two sets of these and you really cant do much with them unless you custom build a piece around them. The top of the map cabinet was inlaid with wood providing a nice surface- so the base and top part of the drawers are newer construction and the map drawers are vintage. Everything matches well except for some coloring on the stain(the older drawers are darker) but that is an easy fix. This was all constructed by a highly skilled cabinet maker so it was made to last and survive. 1960's Vintage Stacor 3' x 5' Tilt Top Drafting Art Table -NJ Pickup
A 1960's vintage professional drafting table. Wooden top is 60"x39" It was made by Stacor in Newark. NJ. The top tilts, both arms and knobs are there(needed a little WD40 to get them to turn) The wooden top is in very good condion. A few holes at top where drafting equipment was attached and a few cuts, etc. Since I have had it(20+yrs) it has had a heavy duty protective sheet on it(see photo) that sheet should be replaced. There are two drawers As you see in the photos the steel body has some staining and pitting- a think a little work and Rustolieum can bring it back. Antique Oak Slant Top Desk Drafting Railroad Student Work Industrial Table
For sale is a very nice oak desk with slant top and two drawers. It is 5 feet long and is probably early 1900s. These desks are hard to come by. About 2 feet deep. 3 feet 5 inches at the highest point. The legs are bolted on and so can be removed relatively easily. There are a couple of cracks in the legs- one repaired and the other does not need repair. I am not sure of the original intended purpose of this desk. Some describe it as a railroad desk. Also school or teachers desk. Drafting desk. It is great looking. Though. There are two holes in the top for some sort of cylinders, maybe pens or drafting tools. Offered is a vintage cast iron adjustable drafting table pedestal base/ stand. Its in very good condition. Appearing that the previous owner'refinished' all the metal and ended with a gloss black paint. It appears the nuts, bolts and screws are newer(I took the liberty of painting most of them black) The table adjusts from 33" to 44" in height as shown. The large cross supports at the top measure 21" each. The distance between the feet is 24" The swivel and angle adjustments work fine. The table will be dismantled for shipping to avoid charges for oversize package.
