Chair has great looking wood slats, with metal supports on both sides that adjust. Seat is 17" x 18" and is 18" Off the floor. Desk has large metal pulls and a metal bolt head on all drawer corners. Both pieces in nice condition. Desk top shows some wear around edges. Metal is structurally very good, has some minor nicks and scratches from normal use. There are no locks in top drawers. This set shows the fantastic use of both wood and metal together in the industrial period. Both pieces sold as a set. This is my childhood rolltop desk and swivel chair which dates back to approximately 1953-1956. It has been loved and well cared for through the years and still retains its lustre. I believe it to be made of solid maple and is very sturdy. Inside of the rolltop are 5 cubbyhole compartments and 1 drawer. The front has 4 drawers and 1 pull-out shelf for extra writing space. The desk measures 37 1/2" high x 29 3/4" wide x 18" deep. The swivel chair is 27 1/2" high. The seat measures 14 1/4" x 14" Location is Adamstown. PA, near Lancaster and Reading; 1 hour from Philadelphia. There are very few signs of wear. A perfect gift for that special child.

For your consideration is this industrial/steam punk style desk chair. The quarter sawn oak chair has great grain pattern and wear. The 22" base has been outfitted with oversized 3" casters. Overall the chair measures 22" wide x 22" deep x 37" tall. The seat will adjust from 18 3/4" 24" tall. The piece has scratches. Chips, rust and tarnish which all add to the character. This is a trifecta of Mid-Century Modern beautiful. Sleek and functional furniture. An architect's drafting table with a seafoam blue-green metal base( by Heliolithe. Paris-Lyon) with original lamp and work chair circa 1940s-1950s. All in very nice condition. The height/tilt of the desk is adjustable to multiple positions with a weight and a brake pedal. Original metal tray for pens/drafting tools underneath the lip of the desk. The moveable slat of wood on the desktop works with a metal weight-and-wire pulley system suspended around the desk edges. This is a beautiful oak desk and chair from the 50s. This set has beautifully designed angles. It is also finished on the back so it can be used as a floating desk and it will look great from every angle. It is solid oak with a blonde wood veneer and it is very heavy. The desk measure 29-1/2" tall, it is 46-1/4" long and 23-1/4" wide. The chair is 32" tall, 18" wide and 17" deep. The seat is 17-3/4" tall and 15-1/2" deep. The desk has 7 drawers including one large file drawer. It is in excellent condition, on close inspection it may show a few vintage scuffs or bumps but nothing outstanding, it has been well cared for. The insides of the drawers show some normal use marks. The top of the desk shows some marks, it is fine as is or it would be perfect with a light refinishing. The desk comes with a matching ... morechair which is also in excellent condition.
