The fine item you are considering is a Trilithic 860dsp Multi Function Interactive Cable Analyzer Meter Needs Work. I have lots of photos below. So be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to take a better look. This high quality cable analyzer will need some work, but not too much I wouldn’t think. The problem is that the small round cover that holds the lower battery pack in place has busted off and the batteries won’t stay firmly inside the unit. When I hold the battery pack in the unit with my fingers and apply constant pressure, I can get the unit to power up, with the display displaying, moving through different screens and eventually looking for a modem. It will then shut off if I hold down the power button, so it looks like if you can get that battery compartment sealed up, you’d be on your way. Oh, don’t make the mistake ... moreof powering up the meter without having your hand applying pressure to the batteries, because if you do, sometimes it sort of powers up and shuts down and then continues through that cycle until it shuts down itself many minutes later(note, this will not happen with the batteries firmly in place) The meter does not come with a charger, and shows plenty of wear from lots of use, with scuffing on the screen and paint loss, but it’s not that bad overall(see photos) and the screen is quite readable. Since the meter will need work, I’m selling it“as is” although I will guarantee it to be as I have described above. Please see my photos below to have a look at this nice item. What you see in pictures is what you get. This is a great meter and has most options installed which you can see from the pictures. It has new batteries and new carrying case. new Trilithic F81 connectors on top of meter. lightly used Charger. $2250 is a great fair price for a meter comparable to mine. Just a standard plain sweep meter through Trilithic will cost you alot more. Will be shipped insured! Since I know this meter works perfect there will be absolutely no returns or refunds! Trilithic installed a new mainboard.Rebuilt batteries,and calibrated unit. when we got it back we used it for a week then our contract ended with charter communications. The upgrades to this meter cost us over $1000. what you see in picture is what you get with this auction. I will include a charger with this auction. Meter looks nice, screen has one small but deep scratch in it but not in center.Scratch is on the left side of screen.
