This is a variable speed Ploog extractor that runs great. It's just missing the sample bowl. It has a 7 foot grounded cord. The cover latches nicely and fits great. ATARI ORBIT (1978) PCB - SOME TESTING - RARE FIND - INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING.
ATARI ORBIT PCB. 1978. KLOV entry: Alrighty then. Here is the deal. I got this as you see it. I paid a lot of money for it. And did nothing with it aside from a preliminary test. It was shelved as a'some day' project. Some day isn't going to come, so it's for sale. I apparently liberated the CPU for something else at some point. So that is not included. There are also two areas on the PCB where someone removed some of the solder tin. I took a photo of the worst area. It's not as bad as it looks and I think somebody did that to remove oxidization. I believe 30 minutes with a fiberglass pen and some solder would take care of these issues nicely. I just didn't have the time, at the time. My preliminary testing got it tagged'reg + garbage shifting. I'll explain: Reg: The PCB's 5v regulator is bad. I bypass ... morethis in these cases to test further. Garbage shifting: Something in the CPU/ROM/RAM loop is preventing a clean boot. Please understand this was tested 7 years ago. I cannot guarantee it will even have the same issues when you test it. If TTL level work is something you do. You can get it going. Nothing on this PCB is completely unavailable. All the TTL is sourcable. The CPU and PROMs are not growing on trees, but you can find them and with a mame set get anything you need programmed. Parts availability is still at a degree where none of these 70's PCB's are'hopeless' yet. If you require these resources post-auction, please let me know and I will pass them along. The PCB appears complete CPU aside and I have made no attempts to repair this myself. I can not attest to the boards history, repair or otherwise. A partial manual in the form of printed schematics are included and it is and has been stored in the anti-static bag shown. Don't let this one slip by!
