Vintage Mojonnier Dairy Lab Milk Testing Glassware Bottle Patent No. 57479
This is a vintage Mojonnier dairy lab bottle that was used to measure the percentage of cream in milk products. Some dairies watered down their milk in those days and this was part of the testing process. This bottle does not have any top. It measures 5 1/2 inches tall and has a 2 1/4 inch diameter base. It held about 8 ounces and was used for the 15 day test. The front of the bottle has an embossed shield with Mojonnier in script across the center of the shield in an embossed"banner" Around the bottom edge is embossed"Patent No. 57479. On the shoulder of the bottle on the back is an etched marking spot used to mark or number the bottles when testing. This high quality computerized blood testing unit from Instrumentation Laboratories looks to be in good working shape, as it powers up as it should, boots up as it should(I will supply the winning bidder with the correct password for the unit) readies itself for testing, the printer feeds paper and the bright touch screen is in excellent working shape, moving through various screens and playing instructional segments when they're selected. The time and date are still correct, so it looks like the internal battery is still good. Unfortunately, this is as far as I can test the unit, so while it looks to be in good working shape, I'm ... moreforced to sell it"as is" although I will guarantee it to be as I have described above, and I do have the password for the unit. The only issues I can find are that the pins holding the printer feed door cover on have busted, so while the door will stay on, if you pull open the door, the door will pull out of place. Certainly no big deal. The only other possible issue is that I don't have any cartridges for the unit, as the unit lets you know as soon as it powers up. From the instructional videos, it looks like there is supposed to be a tube in the center slot to insert samples via syringe, but there is not a tube in there that I can see. I'm thinking this is what the unit means by a cartridge, but I really don't know. Please note, I have no accessories for the unit, only the unit as shown. The unit shows some typical scuffing and marking and such, but still makes a nice overall impression. I recently bought these from a man in North Tonawanda who used to have a Wurlitzer electronic organ made in circa 1980. He eventually got rid of the organ. But saved the tubes. I have the 12AX7s listed presently. These are the other tubes from the organ, 28 12FQ8s. I tested them on my Century tube tester, model FC-2. I have included a picture showing one of the 12FQ8s being tested. It shows over 90 in the photo. They all tested that way, high into the green, nearly to the 100 mark on the scale. The code dates are very similar throughout the lot. They all start with 63. No sales to Italy.
