Ampex MM1200 + ATR-124 24-Track Test Set - HUGE Lot From Ampex Factory
This is a GIANT lot of test sets from the Ampex factory. I'm listing this as a lot only by mistake; I accidentally mixed them together and now don't know what is what. These were packed since the 90s(I would say 80s. But all boxes said"Ampex test equipment" and Ampex wouldn't write"Ampex" because everything they had WAS Ampex, so Sprague must have packed these) and all in separate boxes, on about 7 pallets in the warehouse. When I had to move them out, it was over 100 degrees in the Valley and I wasn't feeling it. There were 79 boxes, not including the half ton of hardware I had personally moved the previous business day(and spent 18 hours sorting between days) and the broke-ass chumps at Sprague didn't have a moth&^ forklift(even Synhouse the one-man band has TWO of them) so the pallets had to ... morebe broken down and everything had to be carried, by hand, by me, from the back of the warehouse to the front the first day and from the back of the warehouse all the way out to the street across the blacktop on the second day(yes, through the warehouse to the loading area and then on out of street parking) Each test fixture was in its own box with the related cables/schematics/instructions. And loads of bubble wrap. I decided against spending the rest of my life dying of heat stroke and instead repacked them to make fewer trips and threw away about 20 boxes onsite. But on two of them, I put them in one big box, and a few days later, I couldn't remember which parts/schematics went to which, so therefore I am selling them both as one jumbo Ampex MM1200 AND Ampex ATR-124 lot.
