I'd say the overall condition of this Sax is clearly a strong 8 out of 10 for it's age. I purchased this from the original owner who bought it new in the late 1970's. She invested into a full re-pad about 10 years ago. And although she meant to learn how to play it, she never quite did, so that explains the low mileage on it and the overall excellent condition. Well kept and owned by a non-smoking person. Made by the Selmer Company in the U.S.A. Serial number is 775901. The black mouthpiece says Geo. M. Bundy#7 on it. And has the gold reed clamp and gold cover too. In the case pocket is a small Selmer cork grease container too(not dried out, still good) The sax comes with that black part that plugs into the very top when the neck area is not plugged in. Nice beautiful pearl buttons, the pictures don't give them justice. The bell area is perfect! The sax is clean and shining right now but will look even nicer if you give it a closer cleaning with a damp cloth. I'm not going to detail every small area but I can see it will clean up even nicer. Condition: I do see some small scratches on the back lower side near the serial number and at the very bottom of the sax(can be seen in clear close up pictures) And some"use marks" here and there. The top part(neck) has tape on the cork area where the mouthpiece goes on. The mouthpiece fit perfectly there but I would recommend replacing the cork(a minor fix) On the bottom of the case, one of the four round metal feet is missing(see pic#12) All of the hinges, latches and handle on the case are perfect still, and the inside of the case is super clean(no odor either) These are the only area's I could find to criticize, otherwise this saxophone is in really nice clean condition for it's age, and in perfect working condition too. I'm not a professional, but looking around on the web I'd say one could expect to pay around $200- $300 to restore the horn to playable condition at a professional repair facility. Re-lacquering the horn would make it look amazing, but the vintage tarnish is cool too. Research on the serial number( 50483) indicates is was made some time in the late 40s or early 50s(pre-1952 for sure) Olds did not manufacture their own saxophones at that time- so this is likely a Martin. Buescher, or more rarely Conn stencil stamped with the Olds name. Horn is sold as-is with no returns allowed. The case pictured is included.

VINTAGE Dolnet ROYAL JAZZ tenor sax saxophone FULLY RESTORED
In my search for the perfect horn i've gone in the end completely FRENCH. I dont have A favorite horn but 3. i have to choose so#1 is SML#2 Dolnet and coming in third my Mark 6. But on the gig the Dolnet is my"go to" horn. It's got a great tone and power. I mostly get gigs in the commercial world and the Dolnet can really stand up to the volume of todays electric world. Im more comfortable playing the SML in my living room or on a small jazzclub gig than on a big stage or in a loud situation. I definately prefer the sound of both those horns to a mark 6 and at 1/3rd the price tag. These horns are the best bang for the buck in todays market along with the other great french horns. The mark 6 is known for its ergonomics.And the other french horns follow in that fashion with a fanned out feeling of the keys as opposed to the ... morestraight up and down feeling of the American and German horns. So back to my Dolnet story. I bought my Mark 6 first.and honestly i wished i hadnt given up my cigar cutter which had a better sound. Though not so comfortable keywork. When i got my Sml my selmer stayed in the case! Then i finally tried a Dolnet. I always loved the look of the instrument and I challenge anyone to find a more beautiful horn than this one. Sparkling silver,BOTH floral and art deco engraving, great signature dolnet keygaurds,tilted bell, and unique neck screw mechanism. I was delighted to find it plays as great as it looks and the price is Right! so when i test the waters i jump all the way in! I bought 2 Royal Jazz tenors at the same time. One was restored. And the other, this one, hadnt been played for a long time and needed pads and importantly was missing some feet to the keyguards. I sent the horn to Mario Steens of VintagesaxDOTde. He was going through a move of his workshop and I ended up waiting many months for the horn. In that timre i developed a special relationship with my other Dolnet, so this one is for sale. Conn New Wonder Tenor Saxophone This auction is for a vintage Conn New Wonder tenor saxophone. The serial# is 104015. Which dates it's manufacture at 1924. The original gold plat ing is still intact on the body. Neck, and key work. Ther e is plating wear around the neck strap ring are a. Most key touches. The neck, a little on the bell. The plating is conservatively estimated at 75% intact. And is in very nice condition for the age of the saxophone. There are no major dents. And the bow/body tube/ neck are in good condition. T he low C# post was resoldered at some point and is still in t act and sturdy. We( comple te ly repadded and mechanically overhauled the s axophone in the late 1990's with leather pads& metal dome resonators. The pads and materials are still in good condition and it just received a complete P laying Condition ... moreOil& Adjust service to ensure it's i n top playing con dition. This New Wonder tenor imme diately preceeds the Ch u Berry and the only notable diffe rence we've found is the smooth G# lever touch on this horn(compared to the"na il file" G# lever touch on the Chu Berry's) The horn has that big lu sh Conn sound and the low notes pr ac tically jump out. Very free blowing and resonan t throughout the horn. And has that vintage American sound everyone is looking for. It has rolled tone holes and the alternate G# trill lever. 1936 Conn 30M Connqueror Tenor Saxophone - Pro Horn - Classic Conn Tone
NEW BUY IT NOW PRICE* SOLID HORN* Descpription: For your consideration is a 1936 Conn 30M Connqueror Tenor saxophone. Serial number M274xxx. It has the Conn Connqueror and Lady Face/Naked Lady engraving. A lot of players consider this the best vintage tenor. It is rare and they are getting harder to find. This model was the crown jewel of Conn tenors at the time and still is. Played by many Jazz greats. I was going to hold onto this one for awhile, but letting it go to a good home where it can be lovingly played and enjoyed. It has the sterling silver palm and side key touch plates. And pearl rollers. Micro tuners and rolled tone holes. I believe this is the original lacquer, however experts can confirm. It has a beautiful honey golden brown patina. The horn plays easily up and down the range, and has a great classic dark and powerful Conn ... moretone. Condition: You can definitely tell this horn has been played throughout the years and seen alot of gigs. The horn is in ok shape playability wise and mechanically as is. The body is solid with no bends and the bell and neck are straight. It does have some small pin and pea size dents on the body. But no large dents. Please see the pictures for areas where there are imperfections. I did not see any soldering. Some of the small screws and micro adjusters have rust and may need to be unfrozen. The horn needs a cleaning as there is dirt and dust around the key areas. The pearls are in ok shape, you can see wear on the keys from being played throughout the years. This horn must have been played quite a bit as you can see the round metal neck strap eyelet has been worn down by the neck strap hook from use. I looked at the engraving under a loupe and took some close up pictures. And the laquer appears to be original to me. I'd say the laquer is on about 50-60% of the horn and splotchy. The laquer has some cracking and is worn off in some areas. The engraving is legible, but there is lacquer wear and there is a very small dent around the Naked Lady area. The pads look to b

Photos to follow* One beautiful. Vintage Karl Meyer tenor saxophone in lovely condition. It has a gorgeous rich tone and is an absolute joy to play. Unfortunately a newly diagnosed heart condition says I can no longer play: Very little wear to lacquer. Only a couple of small dents to bell and one key guard. Very minor and they do not affect the sound in any way. In great, playable condition with good clean, non-leaking pads. Comes with case. Stand, maintenance kit, spare reeds and mouthpiece. Very low starting price and Buy It Now for such a beautiful instrument. I have seen a couple of other Karl Meyer tenor saxophones sell on eBay for well over £400. Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction tenor saxophone (vintage, France, like Selmer)
I bought this vintage Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction tenor saxophone in 1996 from a teacher at my high school. It was her son's. And she'd purchased it from her son's school who was liquidating its instrumental music program. The name, St. Anne Hamner" is engraved on the horn. The school, apparently, was a catholic school in the suburbs of Sudbury, Ontario. I used it for one year in high school band, until I purchased my Selmer Mark VI saxophone. The serial number is 167XX. The saxophone is well-loved. There is visible oxidization. Scratching, welding, and dinging. See pictures. I've tried to be as honest as possible in my portrayal of the instrument. There's no denying that this is a vintage piece with honest wear over the years. The saxophone is a good mechanical condition. The leather pads show minimal wear. Partially ... morebecause they lack tone resonators- those plastic pads that partially cover most saxophones' pads- it has a really nice. Dark tone to it. It's definitely darker than my 1958 Mark VI, and feels like a saxophone in the same peer range. Though it does play, and the pads are in good condition, I want to emphasize that this is being sold as-is. Due to the nature of vintage gear, this may require tweaking and you may wish to repair it to your own tastes. The bell, as you can see, has dings, and the bottom of the horn has some flattening. There are some visible welding marks. Again, to reiterate, this is a used vintage piece. This saxophone comes with a worn-in case. Which is pictured in the photographs. When shipping, I will protect the saxophone within the case using packing supplies, and then double-box the case. It will be $40 flat-rate shipping via USPS and a tracking number in the USA, unless the bidder prefers an alternate method, in which case we'll negotiate shipping upon checkout. Possibly at the expense of the metal's precision, but are a bit more forgiving for fast flurries. Off-tempo passages(note-stretching) or slurred phrasing- in my notes I wrote- vibrant' Precise- rich lows, bold middle/ top" note that the word vibrant is inside it's own single-quote marks- what I mean is it FEELS vibrant to play. Hello fellow saxophonists! Up for sale is Vintage Otto Link 7 Florida/EB USA"Super Tone Master" Tenor Saxophone mouthpiece. Made in Florida but finished in Elkhart! A transitional mouthpiece! Here's what I know. 1) It seems that it has been refaced in the past to.109 which is around an Otto Link 8. Refacing work looks pretty good. And it plays really nicely and evenly through the whole chromatic range. I personally did not do the work, but I'm a perfectionist so I actually recommend a small clean up if given a chance to. 2) Upon being refaced. My second guess that it has been replated as well to silver. 3) Chamber is untouched. Table is untouched. Tiny teeth mark on bite plate but unnoticeable. 4) Mouthpiece length wise is 100 mm. These are fantastic sounding horns that have the classic vintage King sound. There is some normal cosmetic wear including lacquer wear. Some scratches, and some small dings, but nothing that affects play. The pads are not new, but the all seal well and the horn plays nicely top to bottom. See the video below for a sample. This is a 1950's Keilwerth"New_king"Series III tenor saxophone in extraordinary condition. It may never have been played. A true Museum piece. It's stamped JK made in Germany under the right thumb rest. It has rolled tone holes and a globe engraving on the bell the reads, La Symphonique Paris" Seriel# 37xxx. 100% original lacquer. Confirmed by everyone who's looked at it. When you see it there is no doubt that its original lacquer. Has original pads. With a re-pad the sax will play great. It's been sitting for over 50 years. The lucite key guard is 99.99% perfect only the slightest hair line crack on one or two screw area's. They are about 2mm long. Original one owner Selmer mark VI tenor saxophone serial number 148381(1967) This sax has very low playing time as I only used it for concerts while going to school(high school) Last used in the early 70’s. Always in a smoke free home. As I am not a saxophone expert and having been in storage for 40 years I took it to renowned saxophone technician Eric Satterlee of Meridian Winds in Okemos, Michigan(works on both University of Michigan and Michigan State Instruments) to put it in peak condition on March 04, 2013- a few pads replaced, cleaned, lubricated, regulated, etc. see details on receipt in the photos. This is the first time this instrument has ever been in the shop for any reason. Presently it is in excellent condition ready to play. As stated above it is all original with about 95% original lacquer. Just normal wear, age, some scratches ... moreand some very small dings typically about 5mm in diameter and less than 0.5 mm deep(See photos) Please look at the photos carefully as they show the condition much better than can be described in words. Saxophone comes with a C* mouthpiece. Ligature, mouthpiece cap, plastic body cap, and music lyre all original Selmer products that came with the instrument when new. I do not see a serial number on the neck but am absolutely certain it is original. Case is the original Selmer Tri-pak that is designed to hold a Clarinet in a fitted compartment in the right side of the case and a Flute which would clip to the case top also on the right side. The exterior of the case is two piece molded plastic(top and bottom) with a zipper closure. There are some minor marks and scratching on the exterior. Both handles and zipper are intact and functional. The interior is in excellent clean condition with all original snaps and closures. I sell for others and have had many interesting and rare items over the years this one by far is the most exciting. As I am told this saxophone was purchased in 1962 from a music store by the former owner and played it in high school for many years and has since been stored. The owner has since past away and the family wishes to let it go to a new home.Having taken it to a music shop I am told it is in good working condition although it has not been played but all the keys are working although will need new pads and the estimate at that time was $400-$600 for repairs. 1965 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone 12674X Vintage Sax w ORIGINAL TRI-PACK CASE
vintage Selmer Mark VI Tenor Sax. The serial number is 12674X. Which by our research dates it to about 1965. The neck has a serial number of 9596X(look in the description for explanation) You will find pictures both on Ebay, and also in a slideshow below. Here is the description: First off. The horn comes with what appears to be the original tri-pack case(It has room for a clarinet and flute in addition to the sax) The case is in Excellent condition with light wear. One of the compartments has been repaired and the handle appears to have been replaced. But overall, the case is exceptional. The horn DOES NOT come with a mouthpiece. Sax comes with tenor pad saver. The horn itself has all of the attributes that make the VI the ultimate tenor for most players to this day. The tone-booster pads are in very good/excellent shape. And the mechanism ... moreis tight. The action is smooth as butter and a super pro technician set this horn up to play beautifully. It has a surprisingly robust bottom end, which may be due to a neck with a serial number 9596X, which is lower than the number 12674X, on the horn. Possibly, someone selected a different neck to improve the bottom end, as this Selmer really wails not only in the upper end, but also on the low end, where many Selmers are stuffy. We have discovered some discussion on the internet that says necks were selected after the horns arrived in Elkhart, Indiana. Obviously, there is no way to tell. What I can tell you is that we received this horn from an 83 year-old man, and he says he bought the horn new with this neck. He was actually kind of surprised that we asked him about it. Obviously if you're a Selmer expert you might be able to shed some light on this. But I will say that after having spoken to the gentlemen, I believe that he bought it this way new. Anyway, the lacquer appears original and covers approximately 60-65%25 of the horn. There is typical wear- scratches, with a few dings on the body. Pristine condition(no dents, dings, etc. M 116XXX. Not only is this jewel in MINT condition. But has known only the touch and sounds of those worthy to play such a fine instrument, if you chose to believe in inanimate objects retaining energy's from previous owners. 1966 Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone
Up for sale is a 1966 Conn 10M tenor sax. With an underslung neck. The pads are about 8 months old, and they all work without leaks. The keys are light and easy to play, and the sound is full, and clear. There is a dent in the bell, by the logo, and some of the finish is gone in some parts, but overall it is in good condition. It could use a new neck cork, but it's functional as-is. The case is a little torn on the outside, but it works well.

Vintage 1969 King Zephyr Tenor Saxophone
This is a beautiful vintage 1969 King Zephyr tenor saxophone. The King Zephyr is a classic pro model horn with a distinct sound. This particular horn is in wonderful shape with no dents or soldering. But does have lacquer loss from use and some minimal scratches as shown in the pictures. The lacquer is original and the horn is in perfect playing condition from the neck to the bell. The pads are in great shape with some recently replaced by a professional service technician. Key action is responsive throughout. Conn 16 M Tenor Saxophone made in 1957-58. Fantastic deal on an early 16M. If you are reading this then you know what these early 16M's are about. 100% screaming Conn tone. Quick action and a great player. The only negative regarding this instrument is the neck does have some pull down. Some feel pull down effects tuning but I have no tuning problems with it. There are some shallow dents on the lower bow. If you haven't experienced the Conn 16M or 10M sound and have always wanted to than this is your horn for little cost. Pads are in excellent shape and has been gone through by my tech with complete set-up and regulation. No disappointments. This auction is for a Selmer Bundy II Bb tenor saxophone that has been serviced and is in ready to play condition. The Bundy II was one of the most popu lar student model saxophones in t he 1980's and 90's. They are well buil t to with stand the abuse often inflicted by young players yet the action is surprisingly nimble. I went over this sax from top to bottom replacing several worn pads and key corks and making additional adjustments as needed. Now all pads are sealing perfectly with a light touch. I also replaced the neck cork wit h a composi te cork material that contains rubber to better resist compression. This horn shouldn't need any investment beyond regular mainte naince ... morefor several years. As you can hear in the attached video this horn plays great from high F right on down through low Bb. This sax is in very good physical condition. The body is straight and the neck has not suffered from any pull down or other damage. There are no significant dents. There a re a couple minor dings on the bow and bell. But nothing major. There is a good amount of lacquer wear throughout as you can see in the pics. The sax comes in its original Bundy plastic shell case. The case is in very good condition. The interior is nice and clean and does n't smell musty. Also included are the original mouthpiece. Ligature, mouthpiece cap(there is crack in the cap. But it is still useable) and end plug. There are no reeds. Reed cases, or cleaning supplies included so you will probably want to get a"care kit" either on ebay or from your local music st ore. De pending on which kit you purchase it may include all o f the additional accessorie s needed to get playing. This would be a great horn for beginner level students of any age.
