Serial number 317.Xxx ... moredates the instrument to early in 1949. The horn has been re-lacquered a long time ago, leaving 60% I don't have a problem with my mark vi but this TH&C is just better for me. The sound is huge all around but the upper register and palm keys don't cut too much and don't go sharp like a lot of horns. The neck is a little rough but in great shape despite of it. The original snap on resonators are long gone, I installed black Saxgourmet kangaroo skin pads with copper"Maestro Star Airtight Solid Brass" resonators. I can't explain how nice this horn feels and sounds. Elements of My Overhaul: Disassemble- Body analysis: body dents. Bent posts, and tone cups ect. As you can see in the video it plays sweet and easy from top to bottom. These are great horns and this one is a shining example. Buescher 200 Aristocrat Tenor Saxophone Most of the lacquer is intact and has very few scratches and the top of the neck has a few minor dings. I play tested this sax and it worked fine for me. I also haven't had any work done on this sax. Also. There doesn't appear to have any soldering work done here and most of the pads look good. The cork on the neck looks thin and I'd probably think of getting a new one just to be on the safe side. The case works well but the handle needs to be replaced. Buescher 1928 Tenor True Tone Low Pitch Gold Plated. I do not know anything about musical instruments. I found the age from the serial number and it looks like the others listed as far as the Gold Plate. The only damage that I can find is the ding shown in picture 4. The cork on the mouth piece has crumbled towards the top. All of the mechanisms are smooth and I don't see any that stick.I took it to a local music store and the guy said it looks playable as it is. The case is in rough shape with a torn area as shown in picture 11 from taking it in and out for so many years. All Original Vintage Brilhart Tonalin Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece. Typical of Brilhart. Although the piece is marked 3* it measures a 6. This piece has a five digit serial number. This piece belonged to a late professional player. There are visible teeth marks, however they do not negatively effect the piece in any way and are not deep. The only other flaw I can find is a small nick just on side of the tip. It does not compromise the tip rail and is just a slight impression on the out edge of the tip. There is a picture that highlights it, but is subtle and not significant enough to need any attention. Otherwise it is in excellent condition and the original horizontal milling lines are still visible on the table.

1949 Buescher 400 Top Hat and Cane Tenor Saxophone, HD Vid.
I bought this tenor from a pawn shop. After overhauling the horn it feels and sounds better than any tenor I've ever played. Serial number 317.Xxx dates the instrument to early in 1949. The horn has been re-lacquered a long time ago, leaving 60% I don't have a problem with my mark vi but this TH&C is just better for me. The sound is huge all around but the upper register and palm keys don't cut too much and don't go sharp like a lot of horns. The neck is a little rough but in great shape despite of it. The original snap on resonators are long gone, I installed black Saxgourmet kangaroo skin pads with copper"Maestro Star Airtight Solid Brass" resonators. Vintage 1940s King Zephyr Tenor Saxophone N.H White Co.
Up for bid is this King Zephyr Sax made by the N.H. White Company in Ohio. Believed to have been manufactured in the mid to late forties. This sax has a great deep tone. The sax is in good shape and is in playable condition. It has some cool and rare features. Such as the double barrel neck, a G# trill key(between the E and F keys, it pops up when G# is fingered with the left hand) and the 3 ring neck strap ring. It was re-lacquered about 17 years ago and there is ware on the lacquer. Other than a few small dings in the normal areas it's in good physical shape. Most of the pads are in good shape. The high E and F pad are in fair shape but don't leak or noticeable leak. The sax come with the Pro Tec flight case pictured and no mouthpieces.

This silver 82Z tenor saxophone is in great shape. I have used it for several years and have not been disappointed in it's tone and response! It also has very good power. In my opinion. There are no dents on this instrument(to my knowledge) only minor marks from use. The pads are also in great shape. I have put cork on the palm keys for ease of use. This is a necessity if you have big hands. If your hands are smaller, you can always sand these down. This instrument does not come with a mouthpiece, as you probably have a favorite to use. The G1 neck provided excellent intonation for me. This tenor comes in a Hiscox hard shell gig case with blue felt interior. This case is very light. I looked up what i could and the serial number tells me it's from 1926- the summer i believe. From my reading i can see that it's Silver plated with brass keys/levers as overtone. Also from my reading i find that the company produced very few in this configuration. Also told it has the F bar? what ever that is. And a split pinky fingering? Again- no idea what their talking about. PEOPLE have told me many things? that's is a cooberry. The Magna line was created to compete with Selmer's Mark VI line, and this one has all the special features available, from the nickel silver cross on the neck and body, to the nickel silver bell brace, rods, octave key mechanism, upper palm keys, spatula keys, trill and right-hand pinky keys, and keyguards. It also has the sterling silver neck, which is only found on some Magna horns. All keys and rollers work perfectly, and there are only a few minor dings as pictured. Up for sale is a circa 1964 King Super 20 Tenor Saxophone with a 397.Xxx serial number. Still made in Cleveland makes this model much more desirable than the later East Lake models. Comes with sterling silver neck and original case, but no mouthpiece. If you need a mouthpiece please contact me and I could work something out for you! Below are the details. Please contact me with any questions! COSMETICALLY: I call this horn an A- or B+. All original lacquer with minimal wear and tear. 90% better than almost all other vintage horns you will find. The body is straight as an arrow and the neck is perfect with no prior pull downs. There are no solders or major damages repairs from the past. The worse thing this horn has seen is some wear and tear on the lacquer. Interesting. Very old Tenor saxophone. The bell reads"Anc[ienn]e M[ais]on Dolnet, Lefèvre& Pigis, Henri Dolnet Sr, Breveté S.G.D.G. Paris 10915" and is stamped"DOLNET LEFEVRE& PIGIS MANTES DLP" with a crest. After the death of Adolphe Dolnet in 1911, his son Henri assumed control of the firm. So I guess the instrument was build between 1911-1920. The main item in this auction is the mouthpiece. The ligature is an extra incentive! Returns will only be considered for condition issues that relate to the mouthpiece alone. This is one of the harder to find high end vintage mouthpieces and ligatures. Selmer only produced this mouthpiece for a short time here in America. It's exterior is somewhat similar to a short shank soloist. But more angular and without the scroll engraving around the shank ring. But the interior of this mouthpiece is where Elkhart Selmer factory really changed things up from the Paris Selmer group. Magni-Tone mouthpieces have a completely different chamber, baffle, and throat then their Soloist cousin. ... moreThe baffle is higher, the side walls are deeply curved and smoothed out, the chamber is totally round and the throat is much smaller. These characteristics all combine to create a darker, warmer, slightly fuzzier sounding mouthpiece then any other Selmer mouthpiece that I have ever tried. And I've played ALOT of vintage and modern Selmer mouthpieces. Probably well over 75 various makes and models. This is the first Magni-Tone I've been able to get my hands on. They don't pop out on eBay very often at all. I've only seen one other Magni-Tone piece before and it sold for over $500. But that item also included a matching vintage Magni-Tone ligature. The condition of this mouthpiece and ligature are excellent. The beak has some very very light teeth scratched, but no actual bite marks or indentations. The outside of the barrel has some ligature scratches. The rails, tip, table, baffle, chamber, and throat are in immaculate condition. All of the cosmetic imperfections are completely superficial and have no affect on the sound, feel, response, and overall performance of this great piece. It was"Built By Buescher" And is engraved as such on the bell. These are fantastic sounding horns that have the coveted Buescher sound. There is some normal minor cosmetic wear including lacquer wear. Some scratches, and a few small dings, but nothing that affects play. It has had two pads replaced to put it in playing condition. The remaining pads are older, but the horn plays from top to bottom. See the video below for a sample. There is a standard mouthpiece included, a strap, and a rectangular case. Gordon and Frank Villafranca was inspired by the piano students he teaches at Shepherd University School of Music in Los Angeles and is dedicated to those students: Jungwon. Yumiko, Yoko, Eunice, Sooji, Hae Ji and Ok Kyu. As with many students that come from a classical background it is a difficult transition to learn to play Blues& Jazz. When a musician improvises they usually play a variety of riffs or phrases that they have developed and learnt over a period of time and can access these phrases instantaneously whatever key they are playing in to create a seamless improvised solo from the phrases they have learnt. Andrew's idea for this book is to create phrases or riffs over two measures ... moreof various Blues progressions. He sub-divided each of the 12 Bar Blues progressions used in this book(the chord progression for Watermelon Man is a 16 measure progression) into six sections(two measures each) and within each of the six sections created four different phrases or riffs so that the student has a choice of four different phrases to play over every two measures. They can then create a solo based on which phrase they choose for each two measures. By breaking down these phrases to two measures each. He has found that the students have an easier time of learning to improvise than by trying to transcribe a whole solo from an audio recording or leaving them to their own devices in trying to play a solo based on the Blues scale or other related scales.Each of the ten examples are based on common Jazz/Blues chord progressions from Jazz songs such as"Watermelon Man" Blue Monk" Tenor Madness" Route 66" Blue Trane" Bag's Groove" starting off with basic I-IV-V chords and increasing in complexity throughout the book. There are over 200 phrases/riffs to choose from that can be learned and applied to many types of jazz songs. The package
