It has the original neck with matching serial number#108XXX. I am a professional saxophone teacher and conservatory graduate who is selling it for a family estate. The saxophone is in top playing condition with no work necessary and is ready for professional performance. The pads are in perfect condition with virtually no signs of wear. The pads still have the original brown resonators. Examining the instrument carefully. I could not find any major dents. I was only able to find one very small light ding about two inches below the neckstrap ring. It's barely noticeable and could probably be rolled out by an expert repariman if it really bothers the new owner. ... moreThat was the only flaw I could find on the entire horn aside from missing lacquer. SELMER MARK VI (6) TENOR SAXOPHONE SCROLL (DOUBLE) "S" FIRST YEAR 1956
Welcome! This is my personal Mark VI 56k scroll S. Or as some call it, double S" tenor. The lacquer is original. Since very few may have seen one, I'll explain. It's actually a scroll S(for Selmer) and interlaced, ci" for company) on the neck. Only about 200 of these special horns were made. How many still exist almost 60 years later, besides being in original lacquer? The numbers match on neck and body. The neck is perfectly round and has never been pulled down. This is the illusive cross between an SBA and a Mark VI. It plays warm. Full, powerful and takes air very quickly. It can be pushed without losing center and has a great"pop" in all registers as well as under your fingers. Makes sense, since this is one of the very first Mark VI's and has the special scroll S neck. Selmer wanted to make an impression ... morewith this venerable new model. The feel is exceptional and the pearls are extremely comfortable. The ergonomics and sound are truly outstanding. Pads are older with star resonators. I've been playing it in studio and on tour regularly and it comes through like a real champ. It has been meticulously maintained by NYC's finest. I know some of you may want to have it set up to your own specs. So I've reduced the price to help you afford that, even though it's playing fine as is. I've been playing this horn for the past 8 years. Or so. There are no resolders I'm aware of, or major dent work. Vintage Olds Ambassador French-made by Pierret Tenor Saxophone #26294
For auction today is a rare 60-70s Olds(Pierret) Tenor saxophone The bell reads: AMBASSADOR Made For F. E. OLDS& SON FULLERTON. Calif. The serial number(26294) is hidden in the F# key guard(the key just above the right hand thumb rest) The sax is in overall outstanding original condition. With an easy 95% original lacquer left. I can spot only a few areas that will demand attention: The neck octave post was hastily resoldered. It is functional but should really be done properly in order to match the overall good appearance of the sax(see pictures) Typical wear around the right hand thumb-rest and on some key touches(where the nickel plating has worn off) The pads are older but still in very good condition. Look at the squarish shape of the posts. The horn transpires sturdiness and great French craftsmanship that will certainly catch the ... moreattention of many connoisseurs! The horn does not come with a mouthpiece but I have several mouthpieces to choose from for an extra fee. For example. I do have the"Educator" rubber mouthpiece supposed to come originally with such horns and will let it go for an extra $80. L. Pierret factory started making horns in 1906 per the New Langwill Index. They were a saxophone-only shop across the street from Selmer and made a variety of stencils for Olds. Paul Buescher, Santy Runyon and others. Olds named its earlier Pierret-made"Parisian" horns VS. their later"Parisian Ambassador" series. This particular one is only engraved with"Ambassador" suggesting a later manufacture. However, the horns are virtually identical and I can tell for a fact as I have several examples with different engravings. I also have a Pierret Super Artiste that has very similar features(such as the unique design of the central post placed in between low B and Bb keys. Overall. It is sound and complete, and comes with the original vintage rust-colored velvet lined case with crocodile faux-leather in good condition(see picture of the logo) It has a couple dings here and the

The bell measures just over 6” across. It is in well played condition with some typical tarnishing and dents. The keys all seem to be working but most likely they will need a tune up and new pads since this is very old instrument. What you see is what you get. This is a complete mouthpiece. Ligature, and cap package. Berg Larsen ebonite/hard rubber tenor sax mouthpiece. The tip is pretty open, but it's not crazy wide. I play tested it with vandoren java 2.5 and it's a pretty money set up. Photos tell the story about the condition. There are just a few scratches around the outside of the barrel and a couple very small teeth marks on the beak. They are so light that they don't show up in the photos. Berg originally made his name as a professional musician and whilst not working. He could be found making reeds in Archer Street London. In 1945, he designed and manufactured a range of ebonite mouthpieces for clarinet and saxophone which later evolved into a range made out of stainless steel for an increased lifespan. It comes with the original hardshell case a magnificent Jody Jazz Mouth Piece and a handful of reeds to get you started. Cosmetically clean, pads look acceptable(except whatever the problem is with low B& B flat) and there is only some minor scuffs here and there. No major dents or ugliness, seems to have been well cared for. Would suggest pro clean& lube for optimal performance. MIGHT CONSIDER A TOTAL RE-PAD BASED UPON THE AGE O F THE HORN. This horn. Many areas of oxidation and scratching, and a couple keys that are loose. However, all the keys are working but some of the pads are quite old. There are numerous keys that have oxidation on them. The cork on the neck piece is old but intact, and there is a small dent in the end where the mouthpiece attaches. It comes with a mouthpiece and ligature as shown, and it also includes a lyre and an older style neck strap. Everything comes in a rather worn black saxophone case. Please see pictures. I have to start by saying that I don't play saxophone; but I know this is a Tenor Saxophone. In a really nice condition, almost all its lacquer is present, there is some rusting, small dings, and very little scratches, pads look good but I don't really know if will need replacement. I have to say though, this tenor has been built like a Tank, very strong. No neck, no case are included, only what you see on the pictures. On the front I can read: De Kcw Craftone. This auction is for a vintage stencil tenor saxophone that has been serviced and is ready to play. This sax is a bit of a mystery as there is no brand or model name or number on it. It just has the serial number 14021. I a m pretty certain that this sax was built as a stencil and just never had the brand name of the buyer engraved on it. You can act ually see on the side of the bell an area that was obviously pu rpos efully left free of engraving for a name to be stamped. Regardle ss. That is a bit of a non-issue. I had an alto exactly like this a while back(with the same very identif iable thumb hook and bell/bow brace. I had done some research on that horn that led me to believe that it ... morewas a stencil made by Ma larne in conjunction with either Rampone or Grassi. Interestin gly. I don't even see a country of origin indicated on this one, but I am sure it is European, and French or Italian(or in this case possib ly both) would be the most likely places of manufacture. T his sax is in excellent playing condition. I have gone over it from top to bottom making repairs and adjustmen ts as needed. It now plays easily from high F right on down through low Bb as you can hear in the attached video. I replaced a handful of pads and key corks. Straightened a couple of bent keys. Adjusted other keys, oiled the mechanism, and replaced the neck cork. The pads are mostly older. But still in good shape. They are soft and supple and sealing great. They a ll have matching plastic button resonators. Physically speaking this sax is in overall good condition. Although it has a few issues to note. The neck has suffered a minor amount of pull down. It isn't too bad and doesn't seem to affect how it plays. A tech experienced in dent removal and body work could probably restore it pretty close to perfect if you wished. Secondly. This is a Palm Winds black nickel tenor saxophone. I used the instrument in jazz band this year. But I am selling it, because I no longer need it. There are a good number of very small scratches on the bell and on the back of the saxophone, one fairly large scratch on the bell, and one fairly large scratch on the back; I do not think my camera is good enough to picture them well. The higher notes are pretty sharp, so I put some extra cork under the left hand palm keys to lower the pitch(pictured) This saxophone will come with a reed case, Neotech neck strap, a neck cleaner, and a Meyer 5M mouthpiece.

Selmer Paris Tenor Sax model"cigar cutter" ser16429 this was the beginning of the larger bore saxophones. This horn had been in storage many years and I purchased it from the daughter of the musician who played it. He was the origional owner of the horn and played with many bands back in the"hayday" of big bands. The vintage dates back to 1932 the horn is in very nice origional condition. There are a few tiny dents/dings too small to show in photos the lacquer is excellant with 90%+ remaining on the horn The pads are old but seat properly and the horn plays fine. I didn't want to alter the way this horn plays by changing any pads or setup. just wanted to maintain its origionality. It even comes with the origional hard case. So I am letting it go as it is. I welcome any questions but I am totally new to saxophones, period. I am unsure about the key, but that may be discernible from the stamp. Additionally, I may be a little off about the model or year; I am simply basing this listing on a couple online guides to vintage Conn serial numbers and sax types(i.e. saxpics.com) Photographs reveal general condition. I see no significant damage. Such as major dents or dings. Some minor dings on bottom. No pearl is missing. Pads are all present, but likely need replaced. Some plating worn away to brass and generally moderately tarnished. Top piece likely has minor damage with the tape securing ... moresomething. Excellent condition except for the fading due to age. Made after 1980. There is a slight baffle at the tip. These mouthpieces. In both metal and rubber, have less material in the floor of the mouthpiece than the more vintage models, and hence tend to have a darker sound to them. The tips are a little narrower as well. This auction is for a vintage Brilhart Tonalin Tenor Sax Mouthpiece. With Rovner Ligature. This is one of the great mouthpieces of the 1940s-50s. Many pros played these. This specimen is a#4, with a serial# of 6328x. The tip, rails, and chamber are smooth and clean. There are a few ligature scratches on the body, a scratch on the lay, and some light bite marks on the tooth guard, none of which affect the play-ability. 1963-65 Series IV Buescher Aristrocat Tenor Saxophone Refurbished Overhauled
This is a very nice Buescher Aristocrat Series IV Tenor Saxophone. Serial number 385441. The horn has been overhauled with all pads replaced by a professional. However it has not been re-l acquered. See photo#8 for close up of pads. The horn has an amazing sound and you could enhance your preferences with a different mouthpiece. Mouthpiece shown comes with the auction. Along with two very old, unused reeds. There is normal wear for a used saxophone of this age. Along with scratches, scrapes and worn lacquer, but there is still a great deal of original lacquer and shine. There are no dents, but are a couple of small crimps or dings. King Cleveland Tenor Sax Saxophone !NORESERVE!
This is a King Cleveland Tenor Sax. The serial number is C 211600. The sax is in overall good condition but has been in storage for a little while so it will need some work. It will need to be checked over and cleaned to be in good playing condition. It is sold as is for a fixerupper. Some of the pads look ok but I am not an expert so you will want to have them checked and replace them as needed. It may need a few adjustments. The pad cups. Keys and levers will need to be polished. There is some lacquer wear and scratches on the sax as you can see and it could use cleaning and polishing to make it look better. This is a vintage Holton Mo del 241 Tenor Sax. The serial number is 190344 and this dates it to around 1948. The sax has been in storage for a little while so it will need some work.
