As I verified by running it through its Performance Tests as described in the Operating Manual. The second to last photo shows the displayed sweep changing by 10 db/division on the screen as the reference level switch for channel 1 is stepped from +40 dBm to-40 dBm. To make this picture. I used an 11664E detector to measure the output of an 8340B set to CW at 1 GHz but continuous sweep turned on, at a power level of 0 dBm.
