Regency MR-10 Monitoradio Receiver (Vintage)
This receiver is in excellent working condition. I have taken this radio completely apart and did a thorough cleaning and lubrication. I have taken all of the tubes out and de-oxidized all of the sockets and cleaned the tuners along with lubricating bearings. Potentiometers have been cleaned also. This radio has a PL-259 connector to connect to the antenna. Frequency range is 150 MHz to 174 MHz Police and Fire. If you reside in a small town where they operate primarily on one frequency it would work great for monitoring that channel. Tune it in and squelch out the noise and listen to the chatter.

It appears to be mostly complete, but a few of the interior resistors became loose and are inside the plastic bag that you see in the photos. There is ... morealso light corrosion on the resistor connectors. The vacuum tubes appear to be original, but we cannot confirm that. Three of them are marked RCA on the top. All exterior knobs are existing and complete. The solid wood cabinet has very light spliting, but that may have been from the manufacturing process, as it's mostly on seams. I am unsure of what type of wood it is, but it appears to be a hard wood. The antenna and power cords are existing on the back, but are frayed and missing the outlet plug. Only mark on this piece is the front where it reads WALBERT SPECIAL SIX. I did some research through the Chicago Tribune Historical Online Archives and was only able to find an ad from 1926 for Walbert. But at that time they had much more advanced radios for sale. We believe this radio pre-dates 1926, so may be a very early example. PLEASE NOTE: This piece has NOT been tested due to it being very fragile. Antique, and we do not want to power it up. SPARES FOR MARCONI ATALANTA COMMS RECEIVER This listing consists of all the items shown in photo 1 for a 1960's Marconi Marine'Atalanta' communication receiver. They are in good used condition commensurate with their age; please examine all photos carefully. The knobs are industrial quality plastic covered brass and come complete with grub screws. The large tuning knob weighs a hefty 400 grams and acted as a flywheel allowing the tuning to be flicked from one end of the scale to the other with a good flick! The resonant frequency of the crystal is 700khz and was used to calibrate the receiver. I last used the receiver from which it came at least 20 years ago and the crystal worked fine. If you look at he'Atalanta' nameplate very closely there are pinpricks of corrosion and small areas of enamel are chipped. But at normal ... moredistances it looks good.

The ringer is also marked 9-40 and the 5H dial is dated II-40 for 2 nd quarter 1940. This phone has been powder coated gloss black and it has a beautiful rich shine. The handset is an F1 and is marked; BELL SYSTEM MADE BY WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY F1 The receiver element is dated 3-22-40. The transmitter element is dated 6-40. It is my pleasure to be able to offer this Lowe HF-150 shortwave receiver on Ebay. The overall cosmetic condition. As it currently stands, is about average with a couple of minor marks. The battery compartments are clean and show no signs of oxidation or battery leakage. I have sold a couple dozen of the HF-150's here on Ebay and this is enhanced to make it an outstanding unit. Please observe my pictures in this listing to verify my written description. The HF-150 works beautifully electronically with no issues or problems and comes with a variety of item including an AC adaptor. Copy of the manual, copy of 2 brochures, copy of the scarce 39 page Technical Manual, copy of the scarce Lowe Listener's guide, Passport's distinguished Whitepaper review, very scarce Proceedings review, and other documents pertaining to this receiver(not ... moreseen in pictures) The Technical Manual gives lots of useful information and is not often found. In addition, I am including a CD that contains both the user and technical manuals, schematics, brochure, and information on a couple of replacement parts. This particular unit has been modified with the backlit display. Unfortunately. My pictures do not reflect that this backlighting is as obvious as can be seen in person, but the difference in being able to see the display readout is considerable. In addition, owners of the HF-150 have noticed a lack of notch or audio filtering on the HF-150. You have a nice receiver, but some people would like one that offers more features. Thus, the Daiwa AF-406K active filter is a nice addition. Since it is small in size, this filter compliments the HF-150 visually, as well. The filter has a speaker inside so that when placed on top of the HF-150, you do not block the sound. It offers the user a means have a notch filter and band pass for those DX enthusiasts. There are no dents in the base or pedestal. There are normal scratches and small dings. One small rust? spot on the pedestal. This phone still has a long piece of wire from the lamp conversion. The mouthpiece area has two holes cut in the rear portion. It appears this would have been for the lamp conversion. The earpiece appears in good condition. I have not tried to clean any of this. The inside of the earpiece also looks in very good condition. The earpiece/receiver is connected to the phone and the wire appears to be original and in very good condition.
