This hard to find DC motor was used in VHS Cassette loaders. The full model number is. MCA9B 7-557736 50614-A. It features a main pulley with a secondary pulley and holder, and two-pin connector. We are not sure of all its specifications; however other similar miniature DC motors from this series we seen were known for running quiet with low power, a permanent magnet, clock-wise rotation, and ease of use among other attributes. It also, makes a great motor for science or show and tell projects. This motor was stored safely for years in a box of miscellaneous electronic parts. It is in good used condition. And works. We tested it using a nine volt battery applied directly to the motor’s positive/negative terminals, which was strong enough to turn the main pulley, however not enough to turn the secondary pulley. I truly wish I could tell you all about this primitive antique motor but. I don't know anything about it. My husband says it is a DC motor. When I turn the knob on the side. The inside piece moves easily. It measures about 3 3/4" tall not including the round wood it is mounted on. The wood piece has a diameter of 4 1/2" This motor weighs 3 lbs. 2 ounces. mounted. A great used Advanced 8" D.C. Motor with low mileage. The name plate rating is 72- 96 V but this motor can take up to 120 V without any problem. I purchased this motor new and used it in on an EV conversion(Mazda MX3) and it only has about 1500 km(less than 1000 miles) on it. I'm now beginning another EV conversion and after some serious deliberation have decided to blow some big money on high performance EV components. This is a used Curtis DC Motor speed controller. Voltage: 72- 120 VDC. Amps: 400A. I used this for about 18 months on an electric vehicle that I converted myself. I have since gone with a smaller EV conversion and no longer need this large/powerful speed controller. Like all Curtis speed controllers it makes a 1kHz noise at low throttle(serves as an auditory indicator to pedestrians) At higher throttle. The noise goes away. I have had absolutely no problems with this controller. I has worked flawlessly since the first time I used it(over 12.000 miles driven on it) There are some gouges on the top of the chassis caused by fan screws in an early experiment in keeping this controller cool. Bare aluminum is exposed but there are no signs of corrosion. In its mounting. It has been treated to: 1) QC power supply and DC motor(around £475 at the time) 2) Full Orbe Conversion. Including platter, bearing and Clamp. It is about as far as you can push a Gyrodec… and fitted with the SME IV arm and Benz Micro Glider that we have in our other auctions. Sounds superb… THE ARM AND CART ARE NOT INCLUDED. I am not sure of the age. As I cannot find any serial number on it. All seems to be in good order. All the suspension turrets work as they should, and there is no cross threading on any of the bolts. There is a little motor noise. It isn't distracting though, but should be mentioned. I have spoken to Steve at Michell and he says he will service it for £60, I will leave this decision ... moreup the new owner. The springs seem ok. And there is a very pleasing'Bounce' to the deck. Cosmetically. It isn't mint, but it in very good shape, with only two tiny flea bites to the edges of the paint work that we can find, but these have to be searched for to find, and are hardly noticable… There is also some very light marks here and there on the lid, but it still looks stunning and there is nothing obvious. There are two light scratches on the platter(pictured) but this is obviously covered up when the record. The QC has a little patch of light scratches on the back of the lid. But these will polish out easily. We have had it in the shop all week and it has been the talking point. As it sure is a stunning looking bit of kit. that is one of the best loved, all time audio statements ever! WE WILL CAREFULLY DISMANTLED AND SHIPPED IN TWO LARGE BOXES.
