You are looking at an Antique 1920's Westinghouse 1/2 HP Induction Motor. AR Type. It is 110/220 V, 7.6/3.8 A. 1725 RPM. I turned it on for approximately 40 minutes and it worked well. The paint looks like it is original and the motor is pretty clean. Great motor for antique, small lathes like a Hardinge Cataract, Southbend, etc. I do not know if the two brushes are original. But they are in OK condition. Their dimensions are 3/4" wide, 3/16" thick, and 13/16" long(new ones are probably 1" long) The dimensions of the motor- body diameter is 8 1/2" Total height is 9" and base is 8 1/2" x 6" Its weight is 56 lb and 3 oz(25.490 kg) On the left bottom corner of the label. This auction is for a vintage EMERSON ELECTRIC cast iron 1/6 HP motor. It is much larger than the newer steel frame motors made today. It is a foot mounted 1800 RPM motor and S60 frame(distance form feet to center of shaft is 3-1/2" with a 1/2" dia. shaft with a 1-1/2" pulley mounted. It has a power cord. This is not the common capacitor start motor but a split phase/coil start. It runs very smooth and quiet in very good condition with a good older paint job. I will provide more photos.
