This is a set of bankers or library desk lamps that is in working condition. Has a brass finish embossed base with metal fluted column and green glass shade. The one base is around 1/4" larger than the other one. You may be able to see this in the photos. Cant be seen when the lamps are apart. Overall it is 13" tall and is working with a pull chain on the shade. The shade pivots up and down as well. Both are used so there may be a scuff or two here or there. Vintage Sligh Furniture Lawyers or Bankers Desk in pretty good condition with the exception of a line through the green leather. And some wear to the wood around where the drawers open and close. All drawers inside are in good shape. There is also some wear to wood in the lower end of the desk where it meets the floor. Both are in working condition with shades that still have the Emeralite sticker on back(see pictures) Both lamps were purchased at an estate sale. I am selling these lamps as is/as found. Both have period cloth cord that appears to be in decent shape(not the original cord) As with all antique lamps. The cord/wiring should be inspected for safety purposes. End pieces are pressed tin/steel. This bank is in excellent original condition and even has the original key! Paint on the top and bottom looks great and shows very few signs of wear. Both panels have a couple small chips, but they are hard to see unless you're looking for them. No cracks, scratches, or gouges in the wood. Must have been stored in a sock drawer for decades! This is an original box of Bankers Special Sealing Wax. Used by official agencies such as banks and governments this wax was heated and melted to seal documents and then a brass sealing stamp with their emblem information set the seal. The box contains the original pieces of wax shown which have the company name embedded in a few pieces. The wax and the box manufactured in Princeton. Illinois by the Princeton Sealing Wax Company. Very unique and this item probably used in the early 1900's. I ship only to the 50 United States.

Old. Vintage? antique? 2-bladed small knife. Nickel or chrome plating on steel. Bears the insignia of the Long Island Bankers Association. May have been used as a cigar trimmer? Has a small hole to let it be used as a key fob or similar. There is some tarnishing and a slight amount of rust. Measures about 1 1/16" by 1 7/8" by 1/8 +" thick. Knives are about 1" long. I will try to add some additional pictures. I am not much of a photographer. And keep getting too much glare from the flash. This beautiful early 20th century roll top desk comes from and antique dealer in Manhattan. It was from Wall Street Bank and has many of the features of the day. It has a mail pass through slot so mail can be put in the desk without unlocking the roll top. There are decorative hidden slots for pens and pencils under the shelf with the mirror on either side of the writing area. It is solid oak and the top is in perfect mechanical condition. Key figure in the banking history of Tucson and Tombstone, Barron and Lionel Jacobs initially began their financial careers as merchants and suppliers. In 1867 they partnered with their father, Mark Israel Jacobs, to expand the family's mercantile business, the Mark I. Jacobs Company, from San Bernardino to Tucson. Mark Jacobs was a Polish-born Jew who worked as a men's clothing retailer in England before moving his family to California, settling first in San Diego in the 1850s and later in San Bernardino and San Francisco. Lionel and Barron were his two oldest sons and eventually ... morebecame the patriarchs of the Jacobs family. The Arizona branch of the Jacobs enterprise flourished and in 1869, Mark I. Jacobs moved to San Francisco to coordinate the company's purchase and shipment of merchandise to Arizona. By 1871, Lionel and Barron began to offer financial services in addition to their mercantile business including exchanging gold coin for paper money, providing short term loans, holding savings deposits, redeeming checks and drafts, and collecting payments for settlers in Tucson, Tombstone, and surrounding areas. The Tucson population and economy boomed in the mid 1870s, especially after the arrival of the Southern Pacific Railroad, and the Jacobs brothers' enterprises expanded. By 1875 the firm had become one of the largest mercantile establishments in Arizona Territory and the brothers renamed it Lionel M. Jacobs and Company. In 1879 they partnered with Phillip William Smith to open the Pima County Bank, the first formal financial institution in Tucson. Very Old Alabama Bankers Association Lapel Pin, late 1800s -- early 1900s
Here is a very old lapel pin for the Alabama Banker's Association. Which was formed in the late 1800s after the Civil War, continuing into the modern era. The pin is small, lapel pin size, in the shape of a shield or badge, approximately 7/8" long and about 5/8" across. The shield is elaborately engraved with a Union shield at the bottom and the motto"Here We Rest" in red, white, and blue enamel. A very elaborate and carefully executed design. The reverse is hallmarked Whitehead& Hoag, a leading maker of badges, insignia, and military medals. Based on the design and manufacturer, I would guess that this dates somewhere from the late 1800s to no later than the mid-1920s. Nice condition, see illustrations. Stiffel Mid Century Adjustable Brass Floor Reading Lamp bankers exc.
A beautiful Stiffel floor lamp in excellent condition and also working condition. Has a dimmer switch. It lifts up and down and the light swivels on the top. Solid brass. No pitting. Just some lacquer that came off from over the years. Can easily be sprayed again with shellac or leave it the way it is. Goes up and down and tightens with the touch of the threaded bolt. Very nice. The chairs tilting feature is strong and working as it should. The wood is clean but used and has some small scuffs that a piece of furniture of this age would show. A quick wipe with a dark old english wax would work nicely. The finish is smooth and usable. The chair has wheels that work great, the original labels are intact under the chair. Small scratches, stains or imperfections in the wood are expected with any antique piece of furniture. It has a really nice Leviton Cord Dimmer made of bakelite thats in good working condition. Twist knob near bulb, plus dimmer on cord. Simulates the stock trading experience on the New York Stock Exchange or"Big Board. Large box measuring approx 20 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches. Good overall but with many signs of use. Wear and age. Box is torn along edges and corners. Some light glue repairs to paper along edges but multiple abrasions with lost color to box edges. Top of box soiled and marked. With evidence of light water stains/damage. Large folding game board generally very good condition, just a few light stains and evidence on back of light ... morewater or damp exposure. Nine colored game pieces. Which we believe is complete(references indicate 9 pieces were original provided with the game) but no guarantee that these are all of the original pieces. Stacks of play money/play shares. Lots of it but uncounted so some possibly missing. The play shares are in excellent condition. The play money is good but some of it has sat"bent" for years and doesn't lay flat(see photo) Dice shaker present but no dice. No dice included. No printed instructions included but can be found online(and reproduced here. Below) Bottom of box stained with evidence of old water marks/damp stains.
