Handsome Vintage Dated 1921 Original GREENALITE Bankers Desk Lamp Emeralite
Here is a handsome original GREENALITE desk lamp. Standing 18 1/2" tall& with a base 7" square. Lamps like this were often found on banker's, lawyer's judge's, executive's etc. desks. Greenalite" was a contemporary of Emeralite. Verdelite, Amronlite, etc, and they had their own unique characteristics. One of those characteristics was the unique shape/profile of the shade. This original shade has most of the ORIGINAL GREENALITE decal( with date of 1921) remaining and a Stamped Hallmark indicating the shade was Manufactured in Germany. The shade is in very good original condition. With the front edge being excellent and the only flaw to note a flake on in the green glass ON THE BACK edge of the shade. This type of glass is often referred to as cased or overlay glass because there is a layer of green glass ... moreoverlaying a layer of white glass. The metal on this lamp is a combination of brass and spelter and someone chose to overpaint the base( which could easily be removed if one chose) many, many decades ago. The wiring need to be replaced and the pull chain socket seems to be in excellent condition. OVERALL. A wonderful image of bankers at work, the middle of which has an unapproachable Ebenezer Scrooge like look about him. Their account books cover the table. All of them hold their trusty pens, one of them to his ear. Excellent plate! I just picked this fan up at the Walnut Iowa AmVets Antique Show. and it is fantastic! It works as quietly and efficiently as the day it was made which looks to be 1940's to me. It has it's original finish and shows just expected age and usage wear. There is one noticeable paint splatter. not that big. just there that I am sure could be removed. This is for 2 different Robie Bankers. Both work well. The Black one does not have a battery cover/ coin stop. The purple trim one is in good used condition with with only minor darkening of purple on top of head and arms. Slight scuffs on top of head from normal use. The other has black trim. It is in okay used condition with the BATTERY COVER/ COIN STOP MISSING. It has a little more scuffs than the purple one. Very slight battery corrosion on terminals that was cleaned up. Here’s how I acquired them: Eccentric Banker hoarded 500.000 + wheat and Indian Head Pennies, died in 1979, inheritance passed to his son, who also inherited the bank. Son left the ... morepennies(mostly in shotgun rolls) in personal vault at the bank. Son is now retiring. And sold ALL of them to me. My connection was through an Estate Planning Attorney. I cashed in one of my retirement accounts, took a leap of faith, and wrote out a very large check to buy all the rolls. I now have 10.000 NOT SEARCHED rolls of Wheat Pennies. I was allowed to randomly sample 50 rolls of my choosing before purchasing them, and this is what I found in the 50 sampled rolls: Only one(1) Memorial cent in 50 rolls. A high percentage of 1930’s. And of those, many are mint-marked, much more so than you would expect based on actual mintage quantities. A low percentage of 1940’s and 1950’s Wheats. Compared to actual mintage quantities, but there were some 1943 Steel cents. Compared to mintage quantities of all Wheat Pennies. A surprising number of pennies in the teens and 20’s, some with mint marks. 11 Semi-Keys were found(09 VDB. 10-S, 12-S, 13-S, 14-S. 22-D, 24-D etc. 123 Indian Head pennies. Mostly ranging from 1880 to 1909, but 4 were in the 1859 to 1879 range. 2 Flying Eagles. 6 Mercury dimes. 3 Barber dimes, and 1 Seated Liberty dime. Apparently the dimes were

This is for 12 advertising ball point pens-there are names such as kwik klik.Wings,us pencil co,ritograph,bankers,B,ready riter,S,starlite-they are all nice and clean but one does stick and they do need ot be really cleaned and new refills-a while ago i bought 3-5 gallon buckets of advertising pens(great collection from the first ones till about the 1980's or so) and finally just now got to them-they are mostly s.d. but there are others as well-they are from a smoke pet free home but i did not do anything at all with them so they are sold as is but again they are clean but some do show wear and most do need refills-they are used not abused-Please ask if you have any questions.

Here's an Antique 1920s Emeralite Bankers Lamp Base with Bonus Shade offered at NO RESERVE! The lamp is signed twice. Once on the back of the shade and once inside the shade. The shade has a large chip out of the front rim(picture 6) but someone applied a decorative rubber grommet around the rim which actually looks halfway decent and does fully cover the chip. The base needs polishing but is otherwise in good order. The cord has been cut so it will require a complete re-wiring; the socket looks like the original.
