44 inches tall. Base is 42 inches long by 16 1/2 inches wide. Made of wood and metal. We found this in a mine tunnel at Granite Gap Mine in New Mexico in 1997. This district is known for silver, lead, zinc, and copper, not gold. So we asked some old timers in the area. Seems Granite Gap mines shipped ore by wagon across the San Simon Valley to Galeyville, Arizona for smelting. Galeyville had gold mines, and old timers said a lot of equipment was hauled back and forth across the valley. I owned 3 patented mines at Granite Gap, from 1996 to 2006. A friend of mine exploring a side drift found this. The mines in this region were active beginning in the 1870s, and were worked sporadically until the 1940s. This gold processor was probably built in the late 1800s or early 1900s and the motor added sometime after 1910.
