This is a 2004 XMT 304 300 Amp Welding Machine. I purchased it on ebay not long ago because i didn't understand that the 304 line has several Phased Machines and styles. This specific Machine is 3 Phase only! It is too exspensive to convert it over to Single phase. However you can buy a Transformer box for Single Phase to convert it to 3 phase power for the machine, it's called a Phase Converter, however i suspect this would be too much for me and something that could mess up and cost as much as the machine to repair in the future. However, This machine does work with exact output Current and Voltage as it reads, which means it's not been abused over the Duty Cycle and holds a constant voltage and current for good welds. Just to be Certain about this I took it to Modern Supply to a guy there that works on welders in their Repair ... moreShop and he's been in Buisiness since 1982. I bought it last year. Ran about 2 lb wire through it. I shortened the mig gun down to 6 foot to make pushing aluminum wire more easy and put in a liner for aluminum. The yellow cable is the original liner for steel. The mig gun came with maybe 12 foot cable which you may want to buy from factory if you want the original length.

The Spool gun is a 250 amp gun and has been recently rebuilt. For sale is the Hobart welder, ground cable and clamp, extra long spool gun cables and heavy duty spool gun with extra tips and supplies. This is a 220 volt single phase machine. It has a TON of power and can do the most heavy aluminum welding jobs. I have never had to raised the heat setting to over 4 on it's dial. This was purchased to be used with a robotic welding cell at a local manufacturing firm. It was tested and mounted on the robot workcell.
