Patina'd to the max- repaint shell if you want with the blue hammer tone spray paint available at Home Depot. I like just the way it is but the paint will come off on/in your hands. RARE? YOU BET! Vintage Christmas Ornaments NOS Original Box Chevrolet Chevy Dealership
Up for auction. From a recent sale of artifacts from an old car dealership in Tulsa, OK, are 5 vintage Christmas ornaments wrapped in their original box. I don't know if these ornaments had any connection to Chevrolet dealerships or not, but they were being sold along with everything else that was. The box indicates that the ornaments were made in Japan. They are very ornate with a multitude of plastic crystals and pearls on each. They are quite large. Each measuring approximately 5" x 3" Each has tassels hanging from the bottom and a cord on top for hanging. Please refer to the pictures as they are part of the description. Smoke free home. HERE ARE 2 1942 CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP SIGN THAT MEASURE 47 1/2" X 19" EACH. THESE ARE A HEAVY PAPER SIGNS THAT ARE COVERED WITH THICK CLEAR PLASTIC OIL CLOTH TYPE MATERIAL. THE ONE WITH THE CARS SHOWN HAS SMALL PICTURES OF CHEVROLETS FROM 1931 THROUGH 1941 AND A LARGE PICTURE OF THE NEW 1942 MODEL. THE 1942 LOOKS LIKE IT IS THE"BLACK-OUT" MODEL WITH THE GRILL AND SIDE TRIM PAINTED BLACK INSTEAD OF THE PLATED TRIM. THIS WAS DUE TO THE WAR EFFORT. This may have hung outside or in a humid interior. There are moisture stains on the paper face. Not offensive but there and so noted. The, non-magnetic metal case has grime and spotting, no dents. The convex glass has no cracks or cloudiness, it does have collected dust on its interior surface. The convex glass made photographing this thermometer difficult, ignore the bright spots and reflections. I don't think the thermometer is accurate and this item is being sold as a piece of vintage advertising, not an accurate ... moretemperature gauge. Color: The colors in the photos are true to life.
