Vintage Scripto Pocket Cigarette Lighter Here's a vintage VU-LIGHTER pocket lighter from Scripto. Twenty five+ years ago. In my garage sale flea market travels, I bought a few lighters thinking I might be interested in collecting them.and they've been packed away since. I realize that I probably have too many collections already.so I've decided I would give someone else a chance to appreciate them. I've already sold a few but I'll be listing a few more this week so please take a look at them all. It has no flint but the wheel spins freely. It has a wick that sits up a bit and is bushy/ frayed out and it looks like it's stopping lid from closing all the way because there a metal cup that smothers the flame and it seems to be hitting it. I guess it could be another reason it isn't closing completely but it's ... morenot obvious to me. There's some loss to areas of the finish from wear and little micro scratching from wear/storage in the plastic. It will make a nice addition to someone's collection. Up for auction is one vintage DBX 162 VU Stereo Compressor/Limiter.This model is from 1979. And is serial# 2861. I would rate the condition as excellent. There are some small scratches here and there but overall beautiful. There are photos from every angle, so you can decide for yourself. On the front panel you will notice a silver sticker which indicates that the unit somewhere in it's history was gone over and re-done by"Audio Upgrades" of Los Angeles. For those unfamiliar, back in the day when Recording Studios had half-million dollar label budgets coming out of their ears, they would send their prize toys to such places like Audio Upgrades who would go over every nut and bolt, tweak, and rebuild these to perfection. This service cost more money than this limiter will sell for in this auction. So we've left their sticker ... moreon with proud distinction.If you've never heard one of these, they are from that famous magical family of early analog limiters that all of the plug-ins on your hard drive patched and to end just can't duplicate.
