Up for auction is a vintage ohm meter made by Triplett for Metro tel Corp. an old phone company i believe. Comes with a nice leather case in great shape. Snaps still work. This is a Triplett Model 630 NA test meter which belonged to PG&E(Pacific Gas& Electric) It is in a hard leather case. Has type 4 suspension. The case has a webbed carry strap, the meter has a leather carry strap. Last calibrated in June, 1987. I have no idea if it would work, but it's really neat to look at!

I resisted the urge to put the word"Rare" in this item's title. But this item is as close to truly"Rare" that I've ever seen. I've worked with broadcast and professional audio equipment for over 40 years and seen a lot of Triplett 327-T meters, but I've never seen a Triplett 327-T in a nifty desktop case like this one. Triplett 2000 Type 2 Railroad Meter, Railroad Test Set ( 01, 02, 03)
If you do a lot of testing you might want this meter! I tested the standard voltmeter feature for DC current and it read out properly on a 1.5 volt and a 9 volt battery. I did not test the 110 volt feature but there's no reason to think it doesn't work. I don't know enough about the special features to use them. New. The models ending in 01, 02, 03 of this unit sell in the $1,500 range and are hard to find in pre-owned(used) condition. The numbers 2000. 2001, 2002, 2003 are NOT indicative of those years.
